INTRODUCTION
Quality control is the procedure in which a business seeks to ensure that the product
quality is balanced and appropriate and can be sell in the marketplace. To launch any new
product, the business or an organisation is essentially required to understand the importance of
the product quality control which can deliver the profitable outcome (Gritsuk, Gamulinskaya and
et.al, 2020). Amazon is a multinational e-commerce organisation who deals in homeware,
personal and beauty care, groceries, kitchen equipment’s and all the essential needs of a human
being in daily life. It is important for an e-commerce business to understand and analyse the
problems at their workplace where it has been founded that the company is facing the problems
and issues in the process of quality control of the products they offer to the customers (Smith-
Spark, Katz and et.al, 2018). The business is required to keep their focus on new innovative
strategies and methods that they can use and implement the appropriate quality control process
and offers the products in finely manner.
Overview of the company
Amazon is an American multinational; technology firm who focuses on e-commerce,
cloud computing and digital streaming. The company was founded by Jeff Bezos on July 5th
1994 in Bellevue, Washington. The company started dealing in music and video and began their
international operations by online sellers of books in UK and Germany. Jeff and his wife
Mackenzie opened up a book-store in Seattle and later on finances his own company with
$10,000 from his personal savings. However, with the efforts and hard work they leads the
company to the online and digital platform and currently it has become an international e-
commerce organization who delivers all the daily needs and requirements of an individual
human being.
Project background
The present project is based on product quality control which is important for the
company to understand it in better manner and implement at their workplace so that they can
drive their organization at successful level (Ke, Zhang, Zuo, and et.al., 2022). To understand the
concept and effectiveness of the product quality control, it will enable the organization to
increase their sales and supports to increase the productivity level of the Amazon. The research
study conducts majorly five chapters where first chapter includes introduction part in which the

clear aim and objectives and a rationale will be defined. In the second chapter, the literature
review will be performed where various author will state their views and an argument on the
basis of theme. The third chapter refers to research methodology which cover up the different
methods and techniques will be used by the researcher to collect the appropriate form of data and
information and can conduct the research study in appropriate manner. Fourth chapter refers to
finding and discussion where the data which has been collected ensure that the research study is
accurate and identified an appropriate outcome of the study. The fifth chapter highlight the
conclusion and recommendation section which overall deliver the evidence and outcome of the
research issue and few recommendations for the further study.

Rationale
The purpose behind this research is to understand the importance of the product quality control at
the workplace from which the company can be able to deliver the goods and items in appropriate
manner and can boost up their sales in effective way (Termühlen, Etmanski, Kryschewski, and
et.al., 2021). Performing this research will elaborate the brief understating and its effectiveness
of the product quality management at the Amazon and deliver the profitable outcome and result
which leads the company to grow successfully. In this research, it has been considered that
Brexit has put the great impact on the businesses which leads an individual customer to suffer
from issues like increase prices of the goods and items with inappropriate product quality. Thus,
the main reason behind conducting this research is to understand the role and effectiveness of the
product quality control management.

 How Brexit impacts the rules and regulations for the sellers in regard with import of
goods into into the Amazon market?

LITERATURE REVIEW
Theme1: To examine various strategies of product quality control and its impact on the prices of
the items along with rules implemented for the sellers
According to Siwiec and Pacana, (2021), product quality control is the important factor an
individual business should consider for increasing their sales and productivity level. Quality
management is the group of people at the workplace who is responsible for looking at the
products or items quality from creation to final stage of the product development from where
only they can sell the products in the marketplace and can deliver the profitable outcome to the
organization. An individual customer only takes the items and product when its quality is
appropriate from where only the organization can adopt the appropriate amount of benefits from
them which overall result the maximum number of profit and success. A proper plan has to be
made by the organization management from where only the quality can be checked at their
workplace only and can deliver the effective knowledge and outcome to the customers which
makes them to stay satisfied with the product.
Similarly, Zhao, He, Zhou and et.al., (2021) has been stated that it is important for the company
or any business to keep their focus on the product quality control at their place from where only
the definite outcome can be received by them. It is a set of procedures where the company needs
to adopt the different and relevant strategies for the product quality control which includes in
steps. The first step refers to create a perfect goal and vision from which an individual can keep
their focus on the product development and can set the appropriate target customer and
positioning strategies for the brand and product development of the company. The second step
refers to create a time-based objectives which helps the organization to achieve their business
goals and targets. At last step, an individual company has to plan for the appropriate strategies
and approaches for the better management of the product which includes the quality measures as
well.
However, (Anton, Borangiu, Anton and et.al. (2020) said that business management also
required to understand and keep their focus on rules and regulations of the selling of the product

which the company's seller has to implement at the organization. There are different kinds of
selling rules and regulations when a seller needs to adopt for the better selling activity and can
increase their sales accordingly. Seller has a responsibility and duty to provide the appropriate
and accurate knowledge and information to the customers from where they can show and express
their kindness and loyalty toward the customer which overall helps and support the company to
increase their sales in definite manner.
Theme2: The impact on import of goods due to Brexit over the organization
According to Papathanasiou and Kontoravdi, (2020) said that Brexit has put the great impact on
the import of the goods and items over the organization and leads them to obtain the negative
result and outcome in wider manner. The major change has been occurred in the imports and
exports of the goods where different kinds of rules and regulations has been implemented which
overall harms and leads the business company to acquire the difficulties and also cost heavily.
Small or big, business lack the same resources, staffing power and financial stability to claim the
financial assistance where they also face different challenges and issues in the exports and
imports of the goods. Even, Brexit has resulted in 25% fall of imports from the EU and created a
large increase in barriers to trade. Thus, author has said that due to Brexit the many businesses
get the higher impact on their business trading areas and leads them to obtain the negative
outcome.
As per the view of Maytakov, Yusupov and et.al., (2018), said that British businesses including
UK operations of multinationals, depends heavily on imports from the EU and can closely
integrate with the suppliers of the EU. Also, the global trade includes the impact quite seriously
by the Covid19 as well. However, during the time of Brexit, the imports has been affected in
wider manner and leads the company to face different issues. Every industry is affected by Brexit
because of economic impacts and reduces the investment. Brexit brings a real risk of increased
costs and delay to supply chains. It becomes difficult for the businesses to import and export the
goods due to implications of the increase of the costs of the trade which makes the company to
deliver the higher amount of taxes to the EU.
Similarly Pang, Zhao and et.al., (2019) said that, the impact of Brexit on regulations is
potentially enormous where in areas of UK, they have implemented the European wide standards
and UK regulations which will continue to comply with the standards. It becomes important for
an individual business to adopt and follow all the essential rules and legislations and should

secure their trade and exports and imports activities. Due to highly costing of the trading, the UK
businesses get the highly impact over the organization performance and leads them to obtain the
issues for the imports and exports. Thus, author said that due to high tax values, small and large
business both got the higher effect their business performances and leads them to acquire the
poor outcome and results. The supply chains of the business get affected in large manner and
decreases their customers scale as well. Business get the issues is the productions of the goods
because imports and exports the major key activities which has to be performed for the supply
chain management to transport the goods and raw materials from where the accurate kind of
production can be done.
MacCallum and et.al., (2021) argued that not imports has been impacted during the Brexit where
the overall company's performance lack in the market and leads them to acquire the inappropriate
results and outcome. It also lower down the economy of the country and generated the issues for
UK. The business also started facing the issues in the workforce management and leads them to
acquire the problems in the business areas. Thus, author stated that Brexit is a huge disaster
which affected the businesses of many people and also puts the great impact on the imports of
goods and items in wide manner.
Theme3: Various strategies for product quality control
Kyryliuk, (2018), said that quality control of the products puts a great impact on the prices of the
goods and items which also affects the customer buying decision process and leads them to take
the actions accordingly. A positive working culture and environment will help the business for
the better product quality control from which they can increase their productivity level by
influencing the customers accordingly. The positive and appropriate product quality control at
the business will enable the company to grow and develop effectively and can increase their
sales even the product is not that much valuable and efficient accordingly. Also, it becomes
necessary for the business people and management to understand the importance of the quality
control of the product from where the business can increase their sales and customer scale at
definite level. Customer always looks for the best material of the product where the company is
essentially required to keep their focus on the quality of the services and items along with
delivering those products at affordable prices which is the best strategy so that the customer can
buy and purchase the products in definite manner.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research type
The research type is a type of process which can help the researcher to evaluate the
effective process for completion of the task. Research types are consisted of two types:
qualitative and quantitative research type. The qualitative research type is the collection of non-
numerical form of information which includes interviews, open conversation with participants
and such more (Rajawat, Rawat, Barhanpurkar and et.al., 2021). Whereas, the quantitative
research type defines the data collection in numerical manner which involves the statistical form
of data which can present the appropriate research study. In this research, the qualitative research
will be used to identify the appropriate information and can conduct the study in definite and
accurate manner. The qualitative form of data collection also provides the data and information
in detailed manner which overall results the study to be performed accordingly.
Research Approach
Research Approach is a process which elaborate the method the researcher will choose to
gather the relevant information. This approach is of two types: inductive and deductive. The
inductive approach is usually related with the quantitative form of data which initiates with
theories and observations. On another side, the deductive approach is associated with
quantitative data and its results depend on the existing theory. This research will utilize the
inductive approach as it will help the researcher to initiate with the theories and observations in
which the data is being analysed by the new theory.
Research Philosophy
In this research, the philosophy research will define the procedure from which the data is
collected and analysed for producing the desired results and outcome. The research philosophy is
categorized in two parts: interpretivism and positivism. Interpritivism research philosophy
believes that an individual person can shape the overall societal behaviour and allows the
researcher to interpret the study of the research as it is beneficial for the analyst to know the
norms of the society to collect the relevant information for conducting the research accurately.
On another side, positivism philosophy is usually associated with the deductive reasoning and
enables the researcher to collect and gather the data which is verified. This form of philosophy
believes that society is the key player and shapes the individual behaviour in definite manner.
This is also a quantitative type of method. For the present research study, the interpritivism type

of philosophy will be used as it delivers the main data and provides the trustworthy and honest
information so that researcher can develop the good research study. In this research, the
interpretivism philosophy will be use as it provides the specific data and helps to develop the
research in definite manner.
Research design
Research design helps the researcher to choose and select the relevant research design
which suits their subject (Rucitra and Amelia, 2021). This design is of two types: descriptive and
exploratory. Descriptive research design understood as a theory which is based in which the
investigator is interested in informing the topic of the research. This type of research design is
mainly applied on case studies, observations. Alternatively, the exploratory research design is the
method which describe as to further expand or investigate the research title for the study. It
involves the researcher's thoughts and ideas for expanding the information for the study. The
present research will use the exploratory design as it delivers the detail about the topic and also
offers the flexibility to the investigator to acquire beneficial result of the study.
Data collection
The process of collection the data from relevant and different sources known as data
collection. There are two types of data collection methods: primary and secondary. The primary
data collection simply means a data collected by researcher from personal interviews where it
also involves the survey, focus group and such more whereas the secondary methods means data
collected already by other source which refers the books and journals. This research will conduct
the primary data collection and secondary both as it helps the researcher to obtain the relevant
information and also gives authenticity of the data.
Data analysis
It is a systematic process from where the data and information can be collected in
appropriate manner. There are two kinds of data analysis methods: thematic and statistical
method. Thematic data analysis uses the qualitative analysis of data which generally include the
study of the data through the data sets. This process is used to analyse the major patterns of the
study report (Silva, Rudek, Szejka and et.al., 2018). It is the organized method of analysing and
explaining the data for the research. On another side, statistical data analysis uses the quantitative
form or numerical form of data where it gives error in the sampling and mislead the entire
process where the researcher will not check the validity and not able to found the mechanism. It

only gives the draw patterns of the data as for this research thematic data analysis is suitable as it
gives the flexible qualitative data which helps the researcher to achieve their final desired goals.
Thus, research will utilize the thematic analysis which will help to analyse the qualitative data
and helps researcher to achieve the set goals.
Sampling
It is the process of selecting the individual and group of people to obtain the valid and
updated information for the research. Sampling is of two types random and non-probabilistic.
This research will use the random sampling where will choose the 20 employee of the Amazon
company to collect the information.
Ethical Consideration
The ethical consideration is the principles which is required to be maintained essentially
by the researcher to conduct the good research. This research will provide the list of references
which will ensure that the research is not copied from any other source (Bahri, Rahmadaniand
Darmawan, 2020). There should be no leak of personal information of the participant otherwise
it will lead the researcher to face the legal action. Researcher need to ensure that participant will
not harm by any of their action during the interview phase. It is important to maintain the dignity
while conducting the interview. Researcher need to aware about their word selection as what
they are conveying to the participant there must be use of polite word so that it can't offend the
participants.
Limitations
The research can get the difficulties in collection of the primary data where the research
information can suffer (Shi, Wang and et.al., 2019). If the researcher is not able to prepare the
research on time it will be loss for them. Researcher need to schedule all the activities so that the
final result can be made at the particular time. Also, for the research the specific tools has been
used to design or organize the information for the research, what if due to some circumstances if
the tools used for the data analysation does not perform well. It will cause the problem for the
researcher to produce the research on time.

whereas 4 participants said feedback is more effective than the quality standards. However, 3
participants said reviewing the results is better and 3 of them supports the quality planning. The
total participants are 20 where setting the quality standards is in the majority and describing as
effective quality control procedure.

faces in wider manner.
CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
From the above mentioned report it has been concluded that each and every business
management is essentially required to adopt and implement the effective approaches of the
product quality control which can boost up their sales and productivity level in definite order.
The report has kept their major focus on the product quality control management at the
organization and conducted the research study. The overall report has included the five chapters
where first chapter highlights the introduction part which cover up the aim, objective, rationale
and research question. Also, second chapter refers the literature review part which includes the
argument between the different authors. The third chapter highlights the research methodology
section where the data collection and gathering the appropriate information. The fourth chapter
includes the data analysis and finding section where the data analysis has been performed. Thus,
fifth chapter concludes the recommendation section where the suggestions have been provided
by the company.
However, it has been recommended that the company and every business is required to adopt and
implement the accurate process of the quality management of the product from which they can
boost up the sales and productivity level in definite manner (Das, Narhi and et.al., 2020). It has
been suggested that company can use the different tools and measures for the improvement of
the product quality and can increase their overall organizational performance. A good and
positive environment at the workplace can be adopted by the business people from where the
product quality can be managed in effective manner.
REFLECTION
During performing the research, I was very introvert at the first time when I got very nervous
when my tutor has given me a research project. With the help and support of my peers and mates
I created and performed the research study in appropriate manner which also helps me to collect
the data in definite way (He, Cui, Liu and et.al., 2019). Also, I concluded the major five chapters
of the research study which helps me to understand the effectiveness and procedure of the entire
data collection and analysis method. In the researching process, I face different kinds of issues
and difficulties as while collecting the data from the survey because of the limited time I was not

able to collect the data in detailed manner where I lack in time management which I need to
improve accordingly (García, Sánchez and et.al., 2019). For the development of the time
management skill, I will create a proper schedule where I will prioritize my work which will help
me to perform the study in effective manner. Due to time and resources restriction I was not able
to gather the data in detailed and definite manner which leads me to get little unsatisfied with my
lack of time management skill and ability.
