develop employability skills in efficient manner. The portfolio is related to professional career
development into bar ender profession (Arthur, 2016). In the profession of bartender required to
motivation to achieve their goal. Main job satisfaction encourages for strong career development,
satisfactory compensation, and competent working and living conditions. To continue in
bartender require effectual employability skills that can be defined as transferable skills. It is
required fir every individual who wants to growth and development their professional career and
get help in good technical understanding and subject knowledge. Employment are the
responsibilities and benefits of a job as agreed upon by an employer as well as employee at the
time of hiring. In simple words, it is defined as contract where one person, the staff member
agrees to present their work for another, the employers. After recruitment required employability
skills that can help to get promotion in their career and become eligible for good post.
Professionalism is a belief system that is defined about how best to arrange and deliver
health care. In the reference of bartender required effective professional skills that will help to
easily handle customers and provide good services. It is important because it is promoting
customer interest and provided by teams of professionals who need to communicate well,
respecting the principles of honesty, regard for others, privacy and duty for their actions. In
present time for bartender need of professional people who good experience and enhance their
employability skills. There are setting employment goals about short and long term vision,
potential roles, and their suitability. In this portfolio demonstrate an understanding of the skills
and knowledge which contribute toward working effectively. An understanding of personal
strengths and areas for further development as well as introducing their employment goals.

Short and long term goals
My long term goals are excellent reasons and opportunities and they help me in see future
in few years. In this career my long term goal is become own boss in a hotel. To enhance my
employability goals it is important to focus on my skills and improve as per requirement. On the
basis of these goals a bartender prepare effective strategy and provide their best regarding their

work. There is focused on the weakness to reduce to effective manner because it become reason
of barrier in career development (Crimmins, Oprescu and Nash, 2017).
My short term goal to become supervisor then manager in hotel to develop their career in
hotel management. Due to get job satisfaction motivate for the high post and help to set
employability goals. On the daily routine basis set task and complete in certain period of time.
These are meets everyday and consist of daily routine activities. It is directly connected with
employability goals and intent to go back in hotel management. Work in hotel is passion for me
and wants to create career in hospitality sector.
Potential roles and their suitability
In the sector of bartender, it is essential to have employability skills as well as academic
skills due to handle customers effectively. For bartender role required hotel management course
that help to gain more confidence. It will help them to develop their key skills which is important
for academic as well as practical in hotel. Through hotel management course I will find out
various roles such as supervisor, manager, chef and own boss. I am fascinated with my work and
wants to growth for career development.
The code of conduct provides right direction regarding to their work and influence to
work together and maintain the highest ethical standards in hospitality business. Every hotel
believe on the honesty, integrity as well as on fair play are essential assets in business. Through
code of conduct set the standard of behaviour expected from the staff members and guidelines to
handle several situations. Employability skills are important for Bartender in hotel. The success
of the jobs depend on the soft skills that is required to communicate with customers. The benefits
of having bartender into hotel with strong soft skills consist of better customer service, improved
communication and team integration, stronger relationship and improved efficiency (Davies,
Edgar and Debenham, 2016). There are defined 6C's of bartender regarding to their work -
Communication skills – As a bartender role it is very important to interact with different
types of customers. In big hotel required to balance their as per requirement and
excellence communication attract to customers.
Conflict Resolution – It is occurred when change happen and opinion differ. A bartender
have ability to understand reason of conflicts and with their abilities sort out conflicts in
between management and also in between customers.
