connect catering Ltd. It is situated in Walling ford, United Kingdom. The need of making
professional development plan and make a self-reflection assessment is based on the
increasing competition within market. This assignment include the basic benefits which are
associated with the key stakeholders within organisation. The skills which are associated and
expected by the employer in the hospitality industry. After that a complete SWOT analysis is
conduct on the basis of own skills, ability and competency in market. In addition to complete
this assignment, different theories and their approaches are discussed and a professional
development plan is constructed on the basis of future requirement and set out clear aims
which are achievable to enhance the skills and ability of an individual. And in last own
reflection will be conducted in order to analysis the approaches and condition of professional
development within organisation.

According to the given scenario it is important for the evaluation of mine which are
affect the growth of my own professional development plan. Recent work culture where I am
working is effective and supportive for my own development. I am thinking for making
growth and gain some higher position at the workplace which are become the reason to make
and evaluate the current skills and competencies to identifying the area which are suitable for
me and my future development plan. I have analysis my skills and strength against the work
culture and position of mine in Connect Caters. While evaluating about the skills and ability I
understand different aspect of company which are needed to make higher position in this
organisation of any other firm which are providing more opportunities for me. Command
over different languages, time management, decision making skill and planning for
operations are major area of improvement to gain some achievable standard within
organisation. Moreover having knowledge about some global changes and approaches are
work under the concept of approaching and changing nature of environment of hospitality
industry which are more requirement of company. In addition to that self-evaluation is the
basic concept which are helpful for the company and their own growth to utilise their
resources and make proper management system within specified organisation.

process which are needed to be involve in learning appproches either personal and
professioanl development process. Two learning aproches are descriebed below these are
The behaviourist approach and the cognitive approach.
The behaviourist approaches: This is the apprach which is based on the idea which show
that learner respond to the function which are effective and react as per the environment.
 Classical conditioning: This theory is used to developed the repetative actions, within
traininga and development. This theory is given by pavlov, he said that this theory is
particulary based on the natural phenonemum (Matheson and Sutcliffe, 2018). This
theory is helpful in mainating the standard and provide traning for helping them in
significant manner and incraese their productivity. This is the theory which is used by
me in order to work in an ethical enviornment and provide relevant traning within
respected restaurant.
 Operant conditionaing: This theory is particulary on forming association but some of
these associatiobn are established between the behvaiour and behavioural
consequences of chosen industry (Webb, 2016). This thoery is particularly stressed on
the role of behaviour for increasing and decresing the probability for the same
behaviour which are repeated in the future. This theory is helpful for me to conduct
the behaviour and operant the conditionaning in behavioural patterns.
 Social learning: This theory is behaviourist as because this suggest many social
element and arguing on the concept, which are related to different information and

behaviour which are related to observation of peopel. This generate the idea of
learning , state the internal mental state and finally recognised the behaviour that
must be needed for something has been learned. This theory is helpful for me to attain
the concpet and valuable for the growth and aspect of company in an described
manner. This theory is suitable for accomplish cost of structure and needed to be sure
about the growth within restaurant.
All of these above theory is very helpful for asisgning the desired job role which are
basically important for me to provide sufficient support to the company. Classical and social
learning will be provide a support for making more attractive policies and make sutiable
chnages as per the need.
The cognitivism appraches: This theory is given by Dewey, this theory is related to he task
and actvities further it require the concept of reflection or learning process. Cognitive theory
is applicable for the knowledge, comprehensive and application nature for the evaluation of
their own success.
 Kolb's learning theory: This is theroy which is given by David Kolb, that help in
underpin the work culture which affect the modern adult traning providers. He
involve the four function of their own learning cycle which actually review the
concpet of impressive challenges or confirmed (Meldgaard Hansen and Kamp, 2018).
It involve the concreate experience, refelctive observation, active experimentation and
an abstract conceptualisation. All these aspect are related to the conept which are
helpful for me to understand the nature of organisation that affect my own growth
within choosen professional field.
 Honey and murford: This theory is given by peter Honey and Alan Mumford, which
provide relevant theory of kolb's function. This is related to four main aspect which
are activist, Theorist, Pragmatist and Reflector (Simmonds, and Dicks, 2018). Which
are related to the concept different models, stories, puzzle behaviour and many more
relation which are helpful in suportive and distinctive words. This theory is helpful for
me to implement the cocnept which are related to the refelction process of company.
These four aspect of this theory soemhow suggest and provide relavant approaches
which are suffienct for growth of own refelction within organsiation.

Process and activities
For making successful business approach and making successful professional
development plan. For implementing this plan, I will try to implement that plan in a
successful manner. For which I have to make proper Mentoring and training within my
activities.
SETP1: All of this development process will be work in an specified activities, such as I first
try to find out my different career goals. As my career goal is to make all services in the
restaurant.
STEP2: Then I set the goals which are shown in above table, after that I try to make action
plan means to use and achieve those goals. All of the above goals are relatable for the
company and essential for my own future development.
STEP3: I used different action strategies, in order to make sure about the company and
relevant for the company. This will make a proper direction which are suitable for making
changes as per the need of new trends and development.
STEP4: After that I try to monitor my performance, this I would be complete with the help of
my senior and with their directions. Which are relevant for complete the actions steps and
make sure about the company and my own supportive relevance. For making implement
within organisation it is important for training and work in an effective process.
SETP 5: all of these work I would try to develop with the help of mine own responsibilities
that affect the growth and approachable rate of the company. Further documents are provided

STEP6: After analysing the success and make sure about the company is relevant for the
getting success in the nature and development of company. This would be one of important
process, for implement the plan and meet some defined organisational and personal

Ans. I would love to serve different kind of people in restaurants and when they are happily
like dishes then it would make my own sake. Further I think I have the good communication
skills which are best and appropriate for the restaurant supervisor. I would love to enhance
my skills and manage my team in very appropriate manner. I am good in negotiation skill
where I can deal with different customer in significant manner.
Qus2. What kind of skills you possess you think are required in this role?
Ans. There are varieties of skill which are effective and possess in future for the development
of this post within organisation. Skills such as being a leader; means some significant
approach that help me to understand the role of leader and take suitable decision which are
relatable for possess this skill within your restaurant. Another skill I think which is important
is decision making while making a decision in significant manner and try to make successful
and right decision is very good for this post.
Qus3. What previous experience do you have in relation with this position?

Ans. I have 6 month experience in the restaurant which are situated in London. Which name
is farmacy. This is the restaurant which serve delicious food and most reputed in their own
area. I work there on the post of assistant manager. There I learned different skills and gain
knowledge from my senior and work in a team. There I learned how to work in a team and in
the absence of my senior I used to manage our team. So all of these are suitable for me to
gain much experience with are helpful for me to work in this position.
Qus4. What do you think your weaknesses are?
Ans. I think I have issue in coordinating with my other people in time management technique
and for this I had to make suitable plan. To that I would work on my own skills and
implement that plan to improve my skills. At the same time I am very impatient and weak in
decision making skills.

While working on the role play, I learned different things and understand the concept
of different things under professional development programme. This is very important for the
growth of company and an individual about the proper development and enhancing future. I
learned different skills and abilities which enhance my knowledge related to hospitality
industry and work under the circumstance of varieties of culture within organisation. I
learned different skills that include communication, decision making, and use of technologies
which are associated with progress of own future. My major weakness which I understand is
time management skills and not taking right decision at right time. Which become the hurdle
for my growth and become the reason for me to decline my growth and progress. In order to
develop that knowledge and skills, I make a professional development plan and ready to work
in a significant manner.
Obstacle face by implementation of plan
In order to implement my plan, I faced different hurdles and obstacle which are effect
on the growth of mine progress. Some of the hurdles are increasing vast number of
competition and different use of technologies in hospitality sector will reduce the burden and
need of manpower. So it is important for the individual to work in an effective manner and
try to achieve all set objectives in the set time period. To overcome those challenges and
obstacle I would make different sets of professional development plan and set SWOT
analysis so that I can work on my threats and weakness. All of these activities are able for me
to work in an effective manner. I always monitor and use sufficient training programme

which are needed for me to develop my skills and abilities. After monitoring if there is any
change required in plan then I make changes in plan according to the need and development.
