2PROJECT MANAGEMENT
1.0 Introduction
The study is based on improvement of the public health informatics in
Country Health Department (CHD). The healthcare is required to improve it so that
it requires to have latest information as well as data to make proper health related
decisions. The strategic plan of the organization is to increase in capabilities for
program evaluation as well as response to major communicable diseases. The
senior managers are required to identify in improving informatics abilities so that
the organization can able to meet with its organizational goals to improve
healthcare data [1]. The organization is also involved to achieve its goals by
increasing customer satisfaction and improvement over the human errors.
2.0 Report on the current communication plan
The communication plan which is provided in the case study is focused on
right messages on right audiences at right time. CHD is communicated to inform
and prevent misunderstanding among the senior levels and lower level managers
[4]. This communication plan is effective as well as efficient which can fit with
resources of the organization. The project team is responsible for communicating
with each other’s so that they can make improvement over the project conflicts
which are occurred into the organization. The responsible person for communication
are based on gathering of business processes plus requirements of healthcare data
system. The overall duration of the project plan is six to twelve months, therefore
within this duration, the project is required to be completed [7]. Therefore, with
using the communication plan, the team will provide timely updates and also ad hoc
updates when the information is required by the key project stakeholders. The
project team has experience to work together on successful projects like
implementation of EMR, EPIC implementation, as well as communicate diseases
data bases. The team can integrate with varieties of databases in the system which
can communicate to others is doable. The health department is going to provide
funds as the Public Health Informatics Institute’s best practices [2]. The organization
is required to meet with the operational requirements so that they can perform
better.
