INTRODUCTION
Project management is a process of implementing a range of methodologies, techniques
and ideas in order complete a decided project activity (Eskerod and Jepsen, 2016). Further,
project management can also be defined as a procedure of planning, executing, monitoring and
completing a project for the purpose of achieving set targets, goals and objectives. The present
project management plan includes plan of launching a new canned food product along with its
marketing. The planing report of the launching the product includes PESTLE analysis for
analysing influence of a range of external factors over manufacturing and marketing of the new
product.
Further, the report also shows work breakdown based structure along with the Gantt chart
of various activities to be preformed in the manufacturing and marketing of new product as to
enhance the productivity of performance. In addition, the plan is also based on the risk analysis
of the project in order to eliminate the risk involved. Various techniques and matrix for the
purpose of improving the planning and its implementation. Moreover, the planning reports also
shows stakeholder management strategy in order to analyse the involvement of various key
stakeholders, their importance in the project management and their interest in the project as well.
MAIN BODY
Project context
With the help of present project management development plan, a range of canned
products are being planned to manufacture and marketed as well. The report shows planning
procedure of manufacturing a range of premium soups in order to attract numerous customers.
Butternut Squash soup is premium soups that would be launched by Dunbia food
manufacturing company. It includes a range of healthy ingredients like Butternut, Garlic, carrots,
onion, etc. In addition, the soup is also liked and preferred by a large number of consumers in all
over the world. In this regard, launching the Butternut Squash soups will help in attracting a
large number of customers and enhance company's sales volume.
Further, another premium soup to be launched by Dunvia food manufacturing company is
French onion soup. The soup is made of olive oil and unsalted butter. These ingredients makes
the soup mild and full of sweetness as well (Fleming and Koppelman, 2016). The combination of
these two flavors makes the soup tasty. In order to this, launching this soup will also help the

Dunvia in attracting a range of customers towards it and enhance its profitability and
marketability as well.
The major scope of manufacturing these premium soups as a canned product is to provide
these premium soups with the best quality. Further, with the help of these canned soups, the
company would be able to make the soups available to the customers in ready to use form
whenever and wherever they want. This quality of the canned soup will help in enhancing the
consumer's attraction towards the product. Dunvia will also make the healthier canned product
available at the wide range of retail and wholesale shops. It will enhance the ability of company
in reaching to a large number of customers.
In addition, the planned report also helps the company in developing effective marketing
strategy so as to creating awareness among the customers about the new canned soups
manufactured by Dunvia. With the help of developing effective marketing plans and procedures,
company's ability to sale a large number of food products in the market and enhance its market
share as well.
Rationale
The core reason behind choosing manufacturing a range of premium soups is it will help
the Dunvia in expanding its business. Furthermore, with the help of developing healthier soups
for the customers, will lead in improving the quality of products and services provided by firm to
its customers (alsh, Bhagavatheeswaran and Roma, 2019). The project management plan
includes analysis of various factors that are beyond the control of company but can have a major
impact over its business and its manufacturing and marketing procedure. It helps in development
of the most effective procedures and plans so as to reduce or eliminate the effect of these factors

company could develop its new soups accordingly and fulfill the needs and demands of
customers effectively.
Cost analysis is also involved in the project management plan. For this purpose, each
activity to be performed by the business for launching their new product and develop effective
marketing strategies is being analysed (Modarres, 2016). It resulted in preparation of the budget
of the whole budget so that the company could maintain sufficient amount of resources and
maintain smoothness in the flow of all the activities. In this order, with help of the project
management plan, the Dunvia food manufacturing company would be able to deliver a standard
range of canned soups of premium range. In addition, it will also lead in achieving company's
goals and objectives in more effective way.
PESTLE analysis
With the help of PESTLE analysis, the Dunvia would be able to analyse various factors
that could effect the performance of various activities of launching the new products and
marketing plans as per the project management plan. This analysis helps in analysing those
influencing factors that are beyond the control over the company. In this regard, the company
would be able to eliminate all those resources in effectively. The PESTLE analysis of
manufacturing and marketing range of premium soups by Dunvia food manufacturing company
can be analysed as under:
Political factors:
Political factors refers to interference of political parties in the company's business.
Frequent Change in the political parties can also affect the business, as it leads in frequent
change in the government's policies for the business which results in making the company to
change their own policies as per amendments of the government (Hyatt, 2018). As the UK
contains a political stability, this factor does not have much effect over the innovation procedure
of the company.
Environmental factors:
Environmental factors includes wasteful activities of the company, various strategies
developed by the company in order to enhance the environmental condition of the company.
Taking care about the environmental factors while developing procedures of the new premium
soups developed by the company reflects the appealing the large number of customer's mind. In

this regard, this factor can have a huge impact over the sales and consumer attracting power of
the Dunvia. For eliminating effect of this factor, it should develop the packaging procedure of
the canned product in such a way so that it includes a minimum amount of plastic and other
harmful substance. It would help in gaining attraction of eco minded customers and target them
as well.
Social factors
Social factors includes taste and preference of population, segmentation of population on
the basis of their age, emphasis of the population towards health consciousness, etc. these factors
can impact the manufacturing process and decision making of the Donvia in choosing the variety
of premium soups to be developed by it for the further expansion purpose (PEST Analysis
Example for the Food Industry, 2018). In this order, Social factors have a great influence over
the project management plan of manufacturing and marketing new premium soups in the
market.
Technological factors
Technological factors includes using latest technological equipments in the
manufacturing process of the new canned soups. Use of latest technology in the manufacturing
process can reduce the cost to be incurred by the Dunvia in manufacturing premium soups and
their packaging as well. Moreover, using latest technology for the marketing purpose can
influence the customer attraction power. In this regard, this factor also have a major influence
over the project management procedure of the Dunvia. Although, influence of this factor can be
reduced by the way of analysing the latest technology and implementing them in the project
performance as well.
Legal factors
A company needs to comply with numerous rules regulations and legislation while
performing their business activities. In this order, while performing activities of launching
premium range canned soups, the Dunvia would also need to comply with various legislation
such as health and safety law, packaging and labeling standards, waste management laws, food
and safety standards, etc. further, as non compliance of any of the above laws my lead in
attracting legal penalties over the company. In this regard, this factor also have a huge impact
over the project management procedures that can only be reduced by complying each and every
legislation and standards applicable on it.

and spending power of the population. All these factors have direct influence over the
company;'s sales, profitability and marketability as well. In this regard, it may have a huge impat
over the project management procedures. Further, for the elimination of its influence, the before
launching the new canned soups, Dunvia food manufacturing company first needs to analyse

Agiles methodologies
Agile methodology is used in the team management procedure. Agile helps in proper
analysis of the various procedures of project, interaction among all the workers and the planning
tools, implementation of range of plannings and strategies in the workings, taking response from
all the workers and developing controlling measures and implementing them accordingly (Agile
Model & Methodology: Guide for Developers and Testers. 2019).

Responsibility, Accountability, Consulted and Informed ( RACI) Matrix for the new project
RACI matrix describes the participation by different roles in completing a task or a
project in an organisation. It is an acronym which is created from the four words that are
responsibility, accountability, consulted and informed. The purpose of this matrix is to clearly set
out the roles and responsibilities in a departmental and crosswise departmental projects and
processes (Tonchia, 2018). The elements of the RACI matrix in relation to the project of
launching a range of new soups are discussed in brief below :
Responsible : This category includes the person who completes the tasks or a project. In
the project of the company that intends to launch a new range of soups will identify a
person or group of person that could be held responsible for the completion of the project
such as marketing manager would held responsible for all the marketing strategies
formulation and implementation for the new product range.
Accountable : A person is said to be accountable who has a final say yes or no in relation
to the delegated authority. This [person is answerable for the completion of task or
project precisely and correctly. In the organisation, the project manager would be
accountable for the accurate execution of project of introducing a new range (How [&
Why] To Implement The Raci Matrix, 2019).
Consulted : This element of the matrix is concerned with the issue that who needs to be
consulted for any problem that may arise during the project execution. This person is
basically an advisor to a project. For example, the production of new food item can be
consulted regarding the storing and the quantum of ingredients that could be used in the
soups for ascertaining how long the soup can be stored before it has be thrown away.
Informed : This stage in the RACI matrix is concerned with the matter that who shall be
informed all the time if any modification or amendment has been made to a project. For
example, accounting and finance department of the company intending of introducing a
new product range has to be made aware of any changes made in the project, so that this

department can make changes in their operations accordingly and can update the
