The paper mainly reflects on the relocation of a family from sunshine coast, QLD to
Perth. The family mainly consists of 4 members including two adults (Kelly & Jeff) and two
children. In addition to this, the family also has a dog and two cars. As Jeff secured the
position of marketing director in Perth, he wants to move to Perth with his family. It is found
as the new rental in Perth will be commenced on 27th January 2019 however Jeff needs to
vacate this current house by 20th January. Moreover, it is found that the relocation of the
family must be completed within the budget that is around $15,000.
2. Criteria and assumption for preparing the milestone plan and task list
The criteria and assumptions that are helpful in preparing the milestone plan or the
task list for the relocation of the family from the Sunshine coast to Perth are generally listed
below:

of January as the new building in Perth will generally be commenced on 27th January 2019.

Coast QLD to Perth will generally be completed within $15,000. It is found that the increase

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

7. Personal reflection
I have undertaken the entire project of relocating from the house that is located in
Sunshine coast of QLD to a 4-bedroom house in Perth. It is found that for the relocation of
the hose, the project manager generally created a project schedule as per which the entire
project will be completed by 28th January by utilizing a budget of around $13,560. However,
the last date for vacating the house of Jeff is 20th January while the new house will be
commenced by 27th January. As Jeff does not have any relative in QLD, it is very much
necessary to make proper changes within the schedule of the project. For commencing the
new house by 20th January, it is quite necessary to crash the schedule of the project. In
addition to this, it is identified that it is very much necessary to have some extra resources for
the project. The changes within the schedule cost as well as resources of the project generally
help in the commencement of the new house by 20th January without facing any type of
challenges.
After undertaking the entire project successfully, I have gained proper knowledge as
well as experience in managing the project quite successfully. The knowledge and
experience that I have gained in this entire project are very much beneficial for me as it will
help me for becoming a good project manager who knows to deal with difficult situations in
the project by managing the work of the project. In addition to this, I have gained proper skill
in handling change management and steps that are generally helpful in tracking the changes
that are generally done within the project in order to achieve the project goals and objectives.
Moreover, I have also gained knowledge related with exceptions and variances that are
generally needed within the project in order to make changes within the project objectives for
completing the work of the project as per the new project deadline.
