1.0 Overview of the Scenario
In the presented scenario, Kelly and Jeff are two adults who need to relocate from
Sunshine Coast to Perth due to a change in the job of Jeff. For this purpose, Jeff and Kelly need
to vacate the rental apartment in Sunshine Coast and move into a rental apartment in Perth.
Moreover, their children will also get admitted in Perth schools after the relocation is complete.
However, one of the major problems is that Jeff and Kelly have to vacate their apartment on 20th
January, 2019 but the rental at Perth starts on 27th January. In addition, the relocation cost from
Sunshine Coast to Perth is on Jeff and Kelly and they do not have any relatives living in
Sunshine Coast.
Jeff and Kelly can spend up to $15,000 and they need to travel to Perth with their kids
and send all the furniture and goods through air cargo services. This report includes specification
of certain milestones and the schedules as well as changes in the schedule to reduce the overall
cost of the relocation and increase the convenience of Jeff and Kelly.
2.0 Project Plan Development
2.1 Criteria and Assumptions
The criteria used for developing the milestone plan and task list are as follows.
 The main activities that are a parts of the relocation plan are included.
 The activities that require active involvement of Jeff or Kelly are chosen.
 The relocation activities that involve any cost are chosen for the task list.

 The milestones are developed such that they do not require any time but they
mark a significant point within the entire relocation project (they are scheduled
with zero days).
The assumptions made during the development of the schedule are as follows.
 It has been assumed that the flight and cargo flight costs are reduced if they are
purchased in advance and increased when purchased at the last moment.
 Godown costs are significantly lower in Sunshine Coast than Perth.
 The hotel costs are significantly lower in Sunshine Coast that Perth.
2.2 Milestone Plan
The milestones are marked within the Gantt chart that is provided in the Appendix
section.
2.3 List of the Tasks
The list of tasks is shown as follows.
