Overview
My telecom, which is an IT firm located in Melbourne is planning to set up VOIP services and
broadband services facility that will assist many homes and businesses in delivering internet
services. The plan is also to provide services to homes and business which are located in a
different geographical area including the areas that are away from Melbourne city. In order for
my telecom firm to locate the strategic place for their firm, they have to involve communication
firm's experts for the establishment of a good site for the firm1. The project supervisor in order
for the project to be fully implemented he has to form a team of 4-5 employees to work on the
project. In our discussion, we shall focus on what the company is needed to go about in order for
the project to be successful. We shall discuss the following; computer networks equipment
including the barriers to installations, systems, and equipment that is required, requirements and
infrastructure, transmission parts, environmental barriers, quality audits, budgetary requirements,
and compliance requirement.
Equipment and systems needs
In setting up broadband and VOIP services, the best place to start is to identify what user needs.
Broadband and VoIP users will require a phone for their functionality. Various providers will
offer virtual number services, which has the ability in forwarding calls to the user's phone. In
addition, the broadband services and VOIP services will establish a voicemail and number that
are alienated from the personal number2. In performing these users are fitted with many features

which include; voicemail and auto attendant. In terms of appearances, these services will have
positive effects on the customers of Mytelcom Company. For instance, a small organization that
utilization VoIP and Broadband services are terms as a larger organization, also with the size of
broadband and VoIP services it will fit the mytelcom company since the firm has
professionalism through the utilization of standards and some features.
A part with the using of the phone in my telecom firm also it is very good for the
company to use the service pan. Service plan is important since as my telecom firm continues to
experience a positive growth then more and more providers for the broadband and VoIP services
will appear3. The provider selected by the company should be best to suit the company needs.
My telecom company will intend to take note of the service pricing and the firm plans as the
needs which are required for the company. The system implemented in this case should possess
the following feature, should support customer service, it should be accessible to users and will
product services of high quality.
Computer network requirement
Computer network requirement which my telecom company needs is hardware and software
which will enable users to utilize the internet as transmission media for telephone calls by
sending voice data in packets by using IP instead of using traditions circuit transmission of the
PSTN4. When providing the VoIP and broadband services to the customers' various installation
barriers will occur these barriers includes the hilly location in the Melbourne will be difficult for
the network to be established since it required a lot of boosters so that broadband and VoIP
