2PROJECT MANAGEMENT
1. Introduction
1.1 Project scope
The project work is based on housing project at 6 Parrella Grove, Glendenning. The
scope of this project is to review the blueprints, drawings as well as project related
specifications. The project contractor will supply competent labor, project tools, equipments and
services, testing devices and the items required for expense are design, supply, field installation,
design and quality assurance.
1.2 Nature and size
Based on the nature and size of the housing project, there are two roles which are
summarized in the project such as:
Leader: The project manager plays a key role in making bigger decisions related to
construction work and provides direction to the team members when they are facing problems on
the work site and then reports to board of directors (Buvik and Rolfsen 2015). They prepare plus
negotiate estimation of cost, budget and project timeframe.
Member: The project team is involved to coordinate with the design consultants and
architects to make sure that everything is working properly as per the project plan (Meng and
Boyd 2017). As a member, the project manager reports on work progress to board of directors
and budget related matters to project clients.
1.3 Key people involved

2. Project team structure and role of project manager
2.1 Flowchart illustrates role of project manager
The project manager takes responsibility of entire aspects related to construction of
building at 6 Parrella Grove, Glendenning. The manager works closely with the architects and
engineers on the development work. The role of project manager is to situate the budget and
oversee personnel of the building project. Following are role of project manager in the
construction work such as:
The project manager supervises construction of the residential structures along with
building of house (Senaratne and Gunawardane 2015).
They interface with the project clients in addition to update on the project progress, hire
required personnel and manage the regular activities.
