Project background
The project which is take into consideration is the KFC which directly opened its door at
the Somerset Road. Relating to the working of the organization it can be stated that in recent
times the business holds more than 1 million customers each month ranging for a 99 stores
across Singapore. The organization are directly passionate about the prospective of serving their
customers different form of freshly prepared food with the key part which is related to the
concept is the Colonel’s signature blend of nearly 11 spices and herbs 1. The organization is
planning to open its 100th store in the Singapore. The main sector of the implementation of the
new store is in the sector of the gaining of competitive advantage and to implement a new era of
business.
In the report which is placed below overall discussion of the various factor which is
attached to the implementation of the project are taken into importance. There are various factors
that can be involved into the sector of working of the project and on the other hand there can be
different forms of risk factor which play an active role which are discussed in the report.
Planning
(a) Initiation
The sector of the initiation can be considered as one of the factor which is crucial in the
domain of working of the project. In this phase there are few considerations which are focused
for example the objective, scope, deliverables and the purpose of the project are defined. On the
other hand, the sector of the opportunity and the business problem are also identified, definition
of the solution is done, project description is done and project team is constructed who would be

directly responsible for the construction of the new store 2. Business cases development can be
very much crucial in the sector of implementation of the project, the main sector which are
focused in the sector are stated below:
A description which is detailed relating to the opportunity and the problem with heading
relating to the introduction, problem/Opportunity statement, objective of the business,
assumptions and the different constraints 3.
An in depth analysis of the cost, risk, issue and benefit.
Major project requirement.
A summarization of the plan of the implementation which would be majorly including a
financial analysis and schedule.
One of the important factor which should be focused in the section of the initiation of the
project is the allocation of the resources 4. One of the imprint factor which should be concerned
to the KFC project is related to align the project with the predefined rules of the KFC. Reaching
to the desired level of the execution of the project can be stated to be very much vital due to the
factor that the customers would be having a predefined quality factor which should be included
in the execution of the project5. The main requirement of the project is focused in this phase of
planning and it can be stated as one of the crucail factor which would be playing a role in the
domain the success factor of the project.

(b)Planning
The planning which is related to the project is linked to the aspect of collecting the
requirement which is needed by the customers. In this project which is taken into consideration
the planning of the store would be done in a manner by which the customer would be directly
able to indulge themselves into the different offering of the concept. The planning of the project
should be aligned with the requirement of the restaurant. The KFC always has a basic standard of
working which is linked to domain of execution of the concept and therefore it can be noted that
there is various form of working which should be related to the concept of the different
functions. The planning phase in the project which is related to the KFC there are predefined
parameters which are set which always play a crucial role which always has to be taken into
consideration during the planning. Another crucial factor that can be focused in the sector of the
planning is the cost and the time which will be indulged into the construction of the project. It
can be stated here that the constraints are very much critical in the sector of the execution of the
project 6. The planning of the project would be directly aimed at the satisfaction level of the
customers and how the project would be aligned to meet the demand and the standard which is
related to the KFC. The time that would include into the sector of the execution of the project is
crucial due to the factor it would be directly including factor of resources engagement which
would be directly indulging the sector of the overall budget of the project. The timeline of the
project is one of the important factor which is done majorly in the sector of the planning of the
project7. The engagement of the customers in the project and the reaching their engagement level
is one of the concern areas which should be majorly be focused in the sector of the working and
the execution of the project. The planning on the other hand should be very much be aligned to
