Executive Summary
This report is mainly based on the implementation of a new administration support for
KIMS hospital. The main problem that has been identified in the hospital is that there is a lot of
dissatisfaction and burn out among the nurses and support stuffs due to lack of sufficient
administrative management regarding working policies. Firstly, due to lack of fixed shift hours,
the nurses and other support staffs are often needed to work overtime without any specific shift
end time. Secondly, there is no fixed salary structure for the nurses who perform overtime duty
and finally, the nurses are often committed to long hours for attending the patients as the chances
of emotional attachments and high exposure to the disease causing microorganisms. Hence, there
is a need for suitable administration support team who will be able to address these issues and
take suitable actions accordingly. The first main objective of the administration support will be
to hold a meeting with the existing nurses and support staffs to know and understand about their
issues and problems. The second objective will be to find suitable measures that will address all
these problems. The possible steps can be appointment of more skilled support staffs and nurses,
monthly training sessions for the nurses, fixed shift hours and salary structures and others. In this
report, the existing case study has been analyzed and suitable recommendations have been
provided accordingly. In addition, a project plan has been provided for the implementation of the
recommended steps for KIMS Hospital.
