This document discusses three different approaches to health education, including social marketing, role of mass media, and community approach. It also explains how to plan a small-scale health education campaign relevant to local or national health strategies. The influence of social context on behavior change in relation to health is assessed. Ethical issues involved in health education campaigns are explained, along with how they were addressed. The document also explores a recent national health education campaign and explains two models of behavior change used in the campaign. Recommendations for improving health education campaigns are provided.
