This document is a reflective study on the knowledge of hazards of plastic use on common people. It discusses the impact of plastic pollution on humans, plants, and animals, and explores ways to reduce plastic use and protect the environment.

A PROTOCOL REFLECTIVE ON ASSESS THE KNOWLEDGE OF HAZARD OF
PLASTIC USE ON COMMON PEOPLE
Toxic chemicals leach out the plastic and found in blood or tissue nearly of us. The
plastic pollution causes the harm to humans, plants and animals by toxic pollutants. This can take
the hundreds for plastic to breakdown so damage to environment is long- lasting. It consists of
the wide variety of synthetic organic materials, semi-synthetic, mixable and chemically resistant
into solid objects. Plastic is also commonly used by ordinary citizens in their daily lives. Plastic
use is known to be very toxic to earth as it creates problems for birds and wildlife. In the
meantime, it was analyzed that several aquatic animals face problems because they are entangled
in plastics which cause these animals many difficulties. It is known that humans will do their
utmost to release animals such as fish, crocodiles, tortoise, etc. In this, exposure to the harmful
chemicals at the time of manufacturing, leaching in stored food products while using the plastic
packages and toys through children are connected with the adverse health issues such as
endocrine disruption, impaired immunity, birth effects and many other issues. The use of plastic
goods leads to the ingestion or inhalation of micro particle as well as many toxic substances.
It is necessary to generate the awareness regarding less use of plastic so that the animals,
environment and human cannot harmed anymore. I would reflect my personal experience on
necessary component in my study program. Under this, common people are working on
minimum use of the plastic so that they can protect environment. In conducting this, I would be
using Gibbs (1998) reflective model. This model was developed through Graham Gibbs to
provide the structure to learning from the experiences. This provides framework for evaluating
the experiences and provides cyclic nature lends that particularly repeated experiences. With the
help of using this model, it is easy to explore the work of group and focusing on my contribution
to reduce the plastic use by increasing awareness.
Description
Learning is an ongoing process and go along with the person till his/her death. This is
known to be an acquisition through which an individual enhance knowledge and this can be done
by studying or experiences. I undertook this research by my own, learned new things. While
doing this research I have experienced a lot of things that was not explored by me before. For
assesses the project, I decided to divide the task in various sections so that investigate each

component becomes easier. Thus, with the help of this, task will be completed within given time
period. While doing this project I undertook different factors and elements so as to have better
understanding about the topic. Moreover, this helped me out to think in a better manner.
Different fundamentals assisted me evaluating the results in creative and innovative manner.
After this, I moved ahead in the schedule and determined the thing about the project topic and
make the assignment on it. Thus, I made a list so as to have a note about the things I have to do
and what are the things that are required to be eliminated. As I had divided all the activities
according to the time it will take thus, it helped me out in completing the same before deadline
and in a right manner as well. Later, with the gained information and collected data I developed a
piece of Power Point presentation in order to represent my findings. My topic for the project was
on hazards from plastic use on common people. However, in some instances I was guided by my
tutor so that my understanding towards project could be better and findings could be more valid
and reliable. Later on, to have an overview about the project whether it has any problem or not, I
was helped by my teacher and this assisted me in identifying the issues and what possible
solutions can be done to the same. I chose to work on individual platform but rather needed to
communicate and interact with people who are more experienced than me. Thus, this aided me in
having better relationships with them. The main focus was to determine the facts regarding the
case and also find the issues faced by the people from use of plastic. Therefore, if I faced any
difficulty in conducting the project then, I consulted and discussed the issue with my supervisor
or tutor so that they can give us proper solution. In order to completing the project, I made an
effective plan so that I can be able to complete the project within the set time period. When
doing my PowerPoint presentation, my main focus was to include all the points regarding the
project and also provide the description regarding the specific subject area. I inserted some of the
pictures related to the issue arises on a slide which helps in provide the specific focus on that
area. Images or pictures help in make our presentation attractive and tutor appreciates us. As my
communication skill is good so, presenting the Power Point presentation in front of the tutor and
also my Classmates went right as I was able to explain all the things properly and also, I made
them understand about the topic and its consequences on people. Hence, I was able to describe
all the points included in presentation so that better impression can be the developed on my tutor.
I discussed all the points included in my presentation with my tutor so as to know if there was
any problem or they do not able to understand any points in my presentation. My main focus was

to present all the points and also to conclude the main area so that everyone can understand in an
easy manner.
Feelings
At the time of developing the presentation for conducting the project I feel confident in
describing all my points clearly. Reading books, journals, articles etc., developed my intellectual
towards the research topic and furthermore, developed my sense of thinking in a right manner.
During the initial stage of my project I was quite worried whether I will be able to do my work
effectively or not. However, having continuous conversation and communication with my tutor
helped me out in doing my research in a better manner. Thus, I understood that communication is
one of the necessary components and way to interact with the other people. It is a central to the
human interaction. Without this, people cannot relate to those around them, not able to
understand their things to the other people. Difficulties arises if people don’t able to
communicate with any other person. I have good communication skill so I presented my
PowerPoint and also made my tutor understand about the points included in PowerPoint
presentation. In starting of my presentation on the basis of my research topic, I feel little nervous
but also feel that I can able to communicate my area of project to the people in a better manner.
Before starting my presentation, I introduced myself and gave a brief information related to my
topic on which my research was based on. While working along with my tutor I understood the
opinions and ideas of each other chances of disagreement doesn’t raised. Before coming onto the
conclusion, I discussed the main subject areas so that I do not make any mistakes and
consequently doesn’t develop any kind of negative impact on my work or presentation. Initially,
I gathered information related to the topic and made myself comfortable with the issues that I
might face while doing this research because of some data are not much reliable and accurate for
my research. The common objective was to attend the specific objective within a given period of
time. After starting the work, there were many questions that pop-upped in my mind and to
handle it in a better manner I developed a plan considering all the items and things that will be
required for doing the task in an effective manner. Interacting with my supervisor enhanced by
perception and way of thinking. I listen to my tutor’s ideas and further implement the same in my
project. Each section of the research was going according to my plan and information was
gathered accordingly. This helps in able to complete their entire task in time period. While
analyzing some of the topics in my project, I found difficulty in framing them but suggestion

from my supervisor was very helpful. Agreed on the idea of each other and focus on my task
assisted me turning out things in a positive manner. This helped me in completing the project in a
better manner and also presents for presentation in front of the tutor and also provides them all
the information regarding the particular subject area.
Evaluation
Under this stage, I worked continuously and at the same time I evaluated my overall
performance as it is not much high because under evaluation, I compared my performance with
the previous one and this is not better for me. As I worked individually and regarding arising any
kind of issues, I consulted or discussed with my supervisor because they gave be better solutions
and I able to perform in a better manner. Furthermore, I conducted all the research related
activities within a given period of time and that was beneficial in attaining all the set goals and
objectives in stipulated time frame. In this, mainly I focused over the maintaining the study so
that I was easily resolves all the issues and obstacles faced by me at the time of conducting
research activities. Along with this, I also wanted that each and every activity to be done in
systematic and proper manner so that I easily developed or maintained a positive and healthy
relationship through this aspect. At the time of this stage, various positive and negative activities
were completed that improved my learning and at the same time also create issues in front of me.
But my main focus was on completing the research activities within given time period in an
effective manner. Furthermore, I also explored my current topic as per my independent level and
make sure that each activity of research can be attained in an easy manner. It was effective for
me in presenting my efforts in-front of senior authority. This was appropriate in developing a
new and innovative ways and efforts for executing work activities and also practice on how to
effective presently the working activities. In addition of this, I also faced issues in collected of
data from using the primary source. I developed questionnaire and in order to collect the
information I faced the issue regarding coordinating with business houses. Mainly, my focus was
in executing as well as performing task activities this was the strength for me to completing the
task activities in an effective way. As I had not specified and particular roles and responsibilities
to execute the project because I was effectively executing task and activities without any kind of
issues and obstacles that directly improve the effectiveness of project. As I was responsible for
accepting as well as implementing all the changes that was effective in developing the positive

outcomes within the project activities. This was possible because I was more interactive and if I
faced any issue regarding research then I communicate with my superiors for doing the research
in a better manner. Sometimes I was not pay attention towards the message that can be
negatively impact over the last project. As, proper interaction and relationship-based
communication is crucial in maintaining positive environment at the time of executing project
activities. When I gave my best that was beneficial in understanding all the responsibilities. In
this, it was effective for me in improving the effectiveness and working areas.
Analysis
This stage is also playing a crucial role in evaluating as well as analyzing my overall
performance and project activities as well. In this context, I includes all the things that done
through determining entire activities in an effective and systematic manner. Mainly, it was
organized effective ways that was implemented my ideas and approaches that provide by me.
With the help of this, I have taken end decision that directly contributes in analyzing the overall
performance. In addition of this, my supervisor helped me in resolving from the issues faced by
me in conducting an investigation and this can easily improve the possibilities of attaining
positive and reliable results so that entire work activities can be easily managed and analyzed as
well. Furthermore, I also provide deadline to completing the specified task and activities of
project. Under this project, I worried about deadline of the project and its activities as well. As I
also ensure that each activity should be complete over the specified deadline so that whole
project can be complete before the deadline of the project. One of the main advantage of this
section is that it was provide the actual performance and progress of team work so that proper
action needs to be evaluated in order to eliminate the possibilities of arising any kind issues and
obstacles while executing activities and task as well. If project activities to be done in proper and
stipulated time frame then it may improve the possibilities of my efficiency level. Apart from
this, I also have analysis the ways to protect the final outcomes that helped me in issues that arise
at the time of implementing the project activities.
Conclusion
In this kind of stage, I need to conclude about the project outcomes and examined that all
the research activities such as developing aim and objectives, literature review, methodology,

results and findings and conclusion has been completed in a proper manner. As I was doing my
best and not based on some other person. Along with this, I were communicating and interacting
with my superiors and also focusing on the task yet I were somehow completing and
disorganized the initial activities of the project. In this, my main purpose is to get the positive
outcomes and to take a final decision and also draw a valid conclusion that is based in the
specified project and its outcomes as well. Along with this, I also encouraged by my tutor and
supervisor to evaluate and understand the project and my efforts by collecting all the necessary
information that gathered in initial stage of research project. It was positive experience for me
because I worked alone and also improve my skills that helped me in upcoming activities and
project as well. In overall project process, I also faced various issues and some complicated
situation again and again like arranging the funds for completing all research activities. For this,
I thought critically to solve the issues and obstacles in order to make overall project more
successful. I worked effectively because it improved my skills and knowledge about how to
perform task and activities in a team how to manage time, fund and many more. Along with this,
I also learned about maintain time to executing project task and activities. As my communication
skill was better and I was able to concluded my all the research findings in front of my tutor in
the form of presentation. This helped me in giving better opportunity to me to present myself in
front of them. Performing self is effective for me because somehow it improves my
communication skills through which I was easily share my view points and make them aware
about all the changes that they implement in attaining success in the project. Furthermore, I
presented my all efforts in collecting proper information about the specified topic and project
theme so that they can easily present their experience in-front top management and also share
their overall performance with them to get their response. After this, I was able to take
participant in meeting and also pay attention to all the necessary message and feedback provide
by the top level management and their seniors as well. With the help of this, I way improve the
possibilities of accomplishing positive and reliable results at the end of the project.
Action plan
Considering the investigation, it has been analyzed that team work should be effective in
order to carry out research in proper manner. I have observed the communication level of good
but not much better that helps to enhance team working spirit and develop cooperation so that it

required some extra efforts. It is necessary to all the team members to learn the way of working
with team by communication details and information so that entire study can be conducted in
accurate manner. However, it is very important for team members to work on their
communication skills and develop way of performing in a group by collaborating with each
other. It is required to make them understand about way of performing with a team by keeping
personal issues by side and focus and task of group in terms of completing the same in perfect
manner. It is essential to provide training to my team members for communicating with group
members by making them understand about importance of the same. It is significant when team
members become aware about necessity of communication to direct all the tasks in correct
direction in respect of completing the research aim in appropriate way.
On the other hand, it has been analyzed that way of dealing with respondents to take their
interview for gathering their opinions about respective research problem. It includes the criterion
of providing them learning to deal with people in terms of collecting information about plastic
hazards which facilitate to gain accurate findings respectively. Basically, it is essential to
convince people by communicating them that they can contribute for welfare of society by taking
part in this study. It consists to convey importance of communication for conducting
investigation about specific topic with the help of studying relevant information to appropriate
outcomes. I have analyzed that my time management skills are weak for which I have to work
hard and learn the way managing time of investigation so that every tasks will be carried out in
correct manner. It is required to take guidance from senior researcher because they can provide
important tips which help to conduct study properly. It is required to learn more about ethical
principles including informed consent, autonomy, trust, confidentiality and many more. I have
work on by knowledge of ethical practices related to research because considering ethics in
investigation is favorable to make findings more accurate as well as reliable.
In addition to this, I have analyzed that secondary sources of data collection were used which
also need skills to collect relevant data for analyzing the facts of research aim address the
respective objectives. It includes taking action of organizing learning sessions for team members
to provide them training for gathering related information from recent research articles and
journals which facilitate to boost up accuracy of outcomes of investigation. However, I have to
work on my skills of distributing research tasks to team members as per their field of expertise

that improve perfection of outcomes and increase interest of people which impact positively on
research outcomes.
