TASK Assessment Criteria
Question 1
List three (3) professional bodies in nursing that have relevant guidelines surrounding the use of
social media in professional practice. And, for each body specify one (1) rule, regulation or code
that relates to the case study.
Response:
Health practitioner regulation national law – code of ethics to be followed in it.
Australian health practitioner regulation agency - National law
NMBA – national board code of ethics
TASK Assessment Criteria
Question 2
The nurse in the case study had a conversation about a patient over social media. In 50 words
discuss whether this is ethical practice and if confidentiality for the patent and her parents was
breached.
Response: No, this is not ethical practice which is being done by nurse. here, it is clearly seen that there is breach of
confidentiality of data. The nurse is saying that a 3 year old child with her parents came with bruise injury. so, info is being
leaked.
TASK Assessment Criteria
Question 3 You identify a colleague has posted something you feel is unethical. Describe in 50 words how
you would address this issue, and how you might set a strategy for it to be avoided in the future.
Response: first of all I will directly talk to colleague and ask him not to do it. then I will tell him to delete post from social
media and aware about what legal action can be taken against him. Then, I will observe his account in future to ensure no
more post is done.

TASK Assessment Criteria
Question 4
Describe in 50 words what is meant by the term ‘open disclosure’ as it relates to health care and
enrolled nurses. And, identify two (2) healthcare professionals, other than nurses, who have a
responsibility to provide open disclosure.
Response: Open disclosure means an open discussion with patient about an incident which has resulted in its harm. this is
also done with patient family, peers, etc. to examine entire situation. The two health care professional who are
responsible for it are Chief executive and clinical council staff.

TASK Assessment Criteria
Question 5 In 50 words, identify how you as a Nurse would support Graham’s decision to withdraw
treatment and describe how you would encourage him to make an informed decision.
Response: As nurse I will say that his decision is correct as he is not able to have liver transplant. besides, that I will
motivate him by asking him to take some time in taking decision. I will say that he can enjoy his time by doing what he
likes.

Question 6 Identify the legal requirements for the development and use of Advanced Care Directives and
Not for Resuscitation (NFR) orders in your relevant state or territory (100 words).
Response:
The legalities of advance care planning is that it is based on autonomy of a person. this will enable in maintaining control
over his body and medical care in future. by that it will be easy to take decision as well. Alongside, in NFR doctor or nurse
must accept DNR order. it is used in giving request for giving care services to patient. the person above age of 18 years
must have advance care directive to be used in it. he or she can take decision write advance directive.
