INTRODUCTION
The organizations operating in different business sectors compete with each other in
order to gain a competitive benefit and accomplish the benefits and growth of the
business. For the assignment, a report based on the luxury airline company, Qatar
Airways is taken into consideration for examining in what manner the firm has
positioned itself and put efforts for gaining the competitive benefit. To achieve this, the
functional area of the Operations and Marketing of Qatar Airways will be explored in
order to conduct the analysis of the competitive position of the airlines. The analysis
tools like Porter’s five forces and PESTLE analysis will be used to evaluate the
environment in which the firm operates. The recommendations for the firm to undertake
in the next two to three years will be suggested.
