INTRODUCTION
The Project is based on quality management for organisation which includes quality
management strategy that helps in enhancing the quality and growth of business. It includes the
case study of Quality Tooling Company which was established in 1960 at North East of England.
The Organisation deals in engineer's rules, scribes and engineer's calipers. In North East of
England, Quality Tooling facing a problem due to decline of engineering so in order to survive
for long run they have planned to produce radical strategy to ensure the survival of business. The
production plant of Organisation is well equipped having strong financial base and loyal
employees who contribute their best efforts in accomplishing the task. Quality Tooling company
also appreciate the efforts and dedication of the workforce, even they are recognised and
rewarded by Firm. Son and Daughter of Owner had decided to follow the career path and also
planned to give the business a 21st Century Philosophy. In 2010, North East Hospital
Management Board has made an approach to Quality Tooling company for manufacturing and
designing the medical equipment. The board had also signed a two year contract with
organisation for producing cutting edge products at large scale. The Company is receiving
worldwide recognition for its brand image and product range. Quality tooling company is
focusing on improvement strategy by including Total quality management, quality control
implication and quality assurance (Albuhisi and Abdallah, 2018). The report also cover the
improvement strategy that helps to sustain the culture of Quality in Organisation.
Main Body
Quality improvement strategies are the tool that helps in giving confidence to staff
improves the skills and make effective changes in Organisation. Quality management is an
activity to ensure that products and services are delivered to customer with high quality that can
satisfy the need and requirement of customer (Kuo, Chen and Cheng, 2018). The quality
improvement strategy is a document that reflects the intention to deliver excellent products and
services to their customer. There are few components of quality management strategy such as
quality planning, quality control, quality improvement and quality assurance. The aim of Quality
improvement strategy is to ensure that all the stakeholders of quality tooling company must work
together in order to improve the process, services, products and culture of Organisation so that
they can achieve long term success and satisfy their customer. As a quality manager, there are

few principles of quality management which must be focused by Quality tooling company in
order to increase the quality of engineer's calipers, rules and scribes.
The Organisation also get a contract from North East Hospital Management Board for
manufacturing medical equipment. So to produce the medical requirement in effective manner,
Quality tooling must focus on few principles that helps in making high quality products that can
satisfy the need of customer they are customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process
approach, continuous improvement, evidence based decision making and relationship
management. By implementing these principles while manufacturing medical equipment can
help in increasing the standard of product and also it is used to guide an organisation's process
towards increase performance (Paranitharan and Jeyathilagar, 2017). The main focus while
manufacturing medical equipment is to meet and exceed the expectation and needs of boards. It
is necessary to understand the need of customer so that Company can produce the product
accordingly. Quality tooling company must also focus on continuous improvement by improving
the performance, increase ability to grab new opportunity and Organisational flexibility. There
are various benefits which can be attained by Quality tooling company as it helps Organisation to
achieve greater consistency in activities and task which can be included in production of medical
equipments. The quality management strategy also helps in enhancing the efficiency in
processes, improve the use of time and reduce wastage so that they can improve customer
satisfaction. By implementing quality management strategy, Organisation can market their
business in effective manner and also exploit new market. The Strategy enable Company to
continuously improve their process, systems and products in order to increase the growth and
profitability of business. Quality improvement strategy is a long term commitment that provide
guidance to improve the functioning of business (Jurburg and et. al., 2017). The strategy helps in
defining what Organisation wants to improve, how it will test for success, how it will make
improvement and what are the outcomes for improving the quality. Quality improvement
strategy must include clearly defined accountability and leadership, evidence based benchmarks,
quality improvement method, attentive employees who listen to the needs of stakeholders and
measurable results that suits business goals.
There are few tools of quality improvement strategy such as Total Quality management,
quality assurance, quality control and sustainability of the culture of quality which must be
implemented by Quality tooling company in order to produce effective medical equipments.

Total quality management is describing the approach of management which is for long
term success by having customer satisfaction. In this total quality management efforts, the
management of organisation participate in improving products, process, culture and services in
which they work. There are various elements of TQM such as customer focused, process centred,
total employee involvement, integrated system and continuous improvement (AL-AZRI, AL-
JUBARI, and ALBATTAT, 2021). Total quality management is being summarised as the
customer focused organisation as they mostly focus on maintain quality of their products and
service which could enhance customers and also it involves continual improvement. It makes use
of proper communication, strategy and data to integrate quality discipline in their activities.
Total quality Management must be implemented by Quality tooling company with proper
planning so that it can provide substantive financial benefits to Organisation. By implementing
Total quality management, company can improve customer satisfaction by meeting their
expectation and focussing on improving their experience. For quality tooling Company, North
East Hospital Management Board is their prior customer so it is necessary for the Organisation to
satisfy their expectation. Total Quality Management helps in improving the efficiency and
effectiveness of Company. It focuses on internal processes including how consistently processes
deliver desired outcomes, how process align to produce desired outcomes to satisfy customer and
the productivity of process compared the resources. Total quality management also provide long
term competitiveness to Quality tooling company if it is implemented with successful manner
(Glogovac and Filipovic, 2018). The Organisation can introduce Total quality management by
implementing the tool in its production process so that they can enhance market image, eliminate
the defects and increase the productivity of business. By implementing total quality management
in manufacturing process helps in strengthening the competitive position and also reduce the cost
of medical equipments. It also helps in increasing the awareness of quality culture within Quality
tooling company.
Quality assurance is a process of analysing whether products and service of company is
meeting its specified requirements. This aims to enhance customer confidence and credibility of
company. Also it helps in improving work process and its efficiency and productivity. It helps
the company in competing with other competitors and gaining competitive advantage in market.

provide them high quality products. Quality assurance is considered as process oriented tool that
incudes the action through which product is created. The main purpose of quality assurance is to
accomplish back end and front process in effective manner, deliver the product or service on
accurate time and interact with customer in efficient way. Quality tooling company must focus
on using quality assurance so that it can help in establishing and maintaining set requirements for
manufacturing and developing reliable products (Chen, Lin and Chen, 2015). The Credibility of
Organisation also get improved when Quality tooling company implements quality assurance
tool in its manufacturing process and it also increase the confidence of customer. Company can
also gain various benefits by implementing quality assurance tool as it helps in improving the
process control and also smooth the regulatory audits. Quality assurance also ensures that the
medical equipments must not be faulty which can reduce the customer base and focus on
stopping the customer complaints so that they can improve customer experience and satisfy

product. The few examples of quality control are inspection, software testing process and
deliverable peer reviews. In order to improve the quality of medical equipments it is necessary to
focus on providing training to employees, test items periodically and create measurable standard
for output quality (Tomic and et. al., 2017). There are various advantage which can be gained by
quality tooling company by implementing quality control tool as it reduce the inspection cost due
to which Organisation can produce better idea while manufacturing products and also turn high
quality products without errors. While producing the medical equipments, quality tooling
company must include testing units and also determine whether they are within the specification
for final product. So, it is better tool for increasing the customer experience and satisfying them

The Company must focus on sustainability of the culture of quality due to which
employees not only follow the guidelines set by Organisation they also take action in order to
increase the quality of products and services. Sustainability of culture of quality is important for

quality culture must be committed towards the providing customer satisfaction through
continuous improvement so that they can deliver better quality products and services to people.

From the above information it is being concluded that Quality Tooling company must use
different improvement strategies in order to increase their goodwill and brand image. Quality

help in achieving the quality level. There are various tools through which company can improve

implementing these tools company can attract more customers, investors and suppliers and also
run their business effectively in 21st century. The Organisation is focusing on improving quality

It is being recommended from the above information that quality tooling company must
implement total quality management tool in order to improve their products quality and produce
effective and efficient engineer' items. Total quality management is a process of reducing the
errors in manufacturing process so that organisation can produce effective products. Through
total quality management firm can improve customer experience and also focus on enhancing the
efficiency and performance of staff. It is a method through which Quality Tooling company can
build long term success by encouraging the employees to take participating in all the activities of
business so that they can discuss related to the improvement in quality and deliver customer
satisfaction. The principles of total quality management includes customer focus, leadership,
people involvement, process approach, systematic approach to management, continual
improvement and factual approach to decision making. The total quality management helps in
strengthening the competitive position of the Organisation due to which they can survive for long
run. It also helps in increasing the productivity of business and also enhance the market image.
Quality tooling company is focusing on producing cutting edge products for North East
Management Board so Total quality management is an effective improvement strategy which
helps in eliminating defects and waste. It helps in reducing the cost and increases the profitability
of Organisation by attracting more and more customers towards the brand. Total quality
management is an effective tool that focuses on providing quality products to customers so by
implementing the tool in its quality management team company can determines its efforts and
produce products by eliminating the wastage. It also helps in increasing the customers loyalty
and retention due to which firm can attract maximum number of people. By implemneting total
quality management tool in its quality management company can offer better products at lower
cost to its customers by reducing viability and providing consistency that they value. Through
total quality management organisation can bring changes in behavioural pattern of Staff by
promoting self development, extracting better performance, facilitating good work culture and
engaging employees. To implement total quality management, Quality tooling must require a
huge amount of investment as it is one of the expensive method to implement which comes with
team development cost, consultant fees, additional training costs and infrastructure improvement
