1. Do you think Nasr effectively managed Parson? Explain
Nasr had joined Morgan Stanley, to better and add up to the corporate culture that the
organization was perceiving. Nasr himself had a twenty years of experience, and when he
first joined the organization, he saw that the organization had a lack of corporate culture and
the organization could not rightly approach and deliver the capital market services to the
financial services. He managed the first area soon after joining and within a very short period
he became a team leader in the capital market service in the organization. However, for the
second area, Nasr had re recruited Parson, a young banker, whom he personally knew. Parson
was not a fit for the organization Morgan Stanley at the first, place, but Nasr knew his
potential and knew how to motivate him, to make him work differently, and get his job done.
According to Parson, Nasr was a charming leader, and he had this charisma, that would get
anyone motivated. Nasr was friendly with his employees or subordinates and at the same time
knew how to motivate an employee. When Nasr had come across Parson, he was working in
a small firm in the position of Managing Director, however Nasr had understood the
energetic entrepreneurial character of Parson, and motivated and channelized him the right
way to penetrate the financial sector for Morgan Stanley. Now, Morgan Stanley, is effectively
doing business in that particular sector, and this refers to the fact that Nasr had properly
managed Parson.
2. What is the connection between leadership style and corporate culture in
general?
The organizational culture or the workplace culture refers to the values and beliefs that are
governed within an organizational structure. Lutz Allen, Smith, & Da Silva, (2013), have
mentioned that it is the role of the leaders of the organization to comminute these
organizational values and beliefs to the employees of the organization. The leaders are
