INTRODUCTION Questionnaire refers to a document which contains a series of question which is based on the concerned issue. It is one of the best method of gathering data because this involves direct interaction with the employees. This report will discuss the concept of questionnaire and its implementation in the scenario of issue regarding peaty structure. MAIN BODY Suitability of questionnaire for data collection Primary data and types: It refers to that data which is being collected for the first time. It is usually collected form the source. This data gives rawer and specific information about the issue and topic. It can be collected through many modes. Out of them some methods of collecting primary data are: Interview: It is one of the important technique of collecting data where interviewer will directly ask questions from the participants. In this method a sample from population will be selected and then questions will be asked from them. Observation: Under this method observation will be conducted upon the people and their actions or thoughts will be closely observed by the observer. This is also included under primary data because a direct observation is being taking place between observer and the person who is being monitored. Experiments: Under this method the researcher will change some independent variable and on the basis of that it is being analysed that what is the effect of those variable over other. Here other variable referred to as dependent variables. Questionnaire: It refers to a format which includes a series of questions based on issue and concept. It is being circulated among respondents where they have to mark appropriate answers. Since,questionnaireinvolvescloserinteractionalongwithenablingfreedomto respondents so, it raises the chances of getting more accurate information. Thus, it would be right to said that out of many methods questionnaire is the most suitable method to collect primary data.
For the current situation, questionnaire is one of the best method of collecting data. This is because questionnaire allows personal interaction with employees. As it is seen that no official information is yet received regarding the issue of pay scale so in that implementation and adoption of this practice is one of the best method to identify and clarify the issue. As questionnaire will be approached towards each and every employee of the company which will allows them to share their views and problems more freely as they had not reported officially. Also, as questionnaire will contain a series of questions so this will raises the chances to have better understanding of the issue and concept. As management has not received any official information regarding the issue so there are also chances that the mistake and issue has been caused not from the management level but some other supervisor is responsible for that. In such case when management will get direct interaction with the employees than it will also get the chance to identify the real issue or whether there is an existence of issue or not. Circulation of questionnaire will also give freedom to employees where they can freely discuss their issue and their respective solution which they want from their side. This will not only help management in identifying the issue but at the same time this will also allow them to resolve the issue in the most suitable manner. Apart from that management will also get the chance to analyse any other issue which they are not well aware yet. This will also help them to know the real position of work and the main issue of the workers. Since, as per the situation senior management has only heard about this issue. So there are also existence of chances that the gathered and heard information will be wrong. In that scenario also questionnaire would prove to be the best method because when management and HR will have direct interaction with the employees then only the present situation would make clear. However, one more reason of adoption of this method is that there are chances that if organization will adopt personal sessions then employees would not being able to say the real thing which they want to express. This may be due to pressure of their supervisor or may be their own personal reason. But this questionnaire method will enable them to share their views without any fear or pressure. This research will helps to identify the clear picture of the problems and it will also provide proper solution that can be used by the organization to cover come the issues. question on the pay structure because according to the scenario employees are not getting the proper salary because of it they are not able to work effective for the company. Questionnaire: -Covered in Appendix Interpretation As it is seen that current questionnaire is a combination of various types of questions. The reason behind choosing of these varieties of question is to identify the real and correct situation and scenario. As this questionnaire involves open-ended questions so this will allows the participants to express their views more freely in comparison of any other form of question. Also, open-ended question raises the scope of analysing the issue and its concerned solution. One
more reason for inculcating this question in the questionnaire is that it allows the situation to have better analysis and understanding. This is because in these questions employees will express their own personal problem along with their respective solution. So management will not only able to analyse the issue regarding pay structure, but they will also able to analyse its related and associated issues too. In addition to this some multiple choice questions are being included in this questionnaire which will allows the management and HR to have a direct and to the point identification of issue. As in this form of questions, options are given to employees so by choosing the most appropriate option they will directly point towards the main problem and simultaneously it will also help to know that whether there is an actual existence of problem or not. Open need questions are special designed for the recommendation where they need to represent and question cannot be asked in the option. It include the proper feeling of the employees and what they can recommend overcoming the issues. Another question is special because it has mainly focus on the pay structure of the company and it is direct question on employees personal life that is affecting from the pay structure of the company (Stathopoulou and et.al., 2019). It will provide a clear picture that employees are not only facing the issues related to their salary but it is al;so affecting their personal life and it is an big issues that employees can face and answer of this question will clear that how much this issues is affecting the employees so company can solve this issues and help-s their employees and motivate them. Last question is an multiple chose question where employees will answer that they are agree, disagree etc. question is to the employees that solving the issues can pay structure issues by the company will motivate the employees and solve the issues or not,. This question will helps to provide the view of the employees what they think and what can be done to solve the issues. The multiple choice question will helps to provide view of the employees if they are agree that it will solve the issues or not and it will help them to overcome the issues they are facing within the company.
