INTRODUCTION
Questionnaire refers to a document which contains a series of question which is based on
the concerned issue. It is one of the best method of gathering data because this involves direct
interaction with the employees. This report will discuss the concept of questionnaire and its
implementation in the scenario of issue regarding peaty structure.
MAIN BODY
Suitability of questionnaire for data collection
Primary data and types:
It refers to that data which is being collected for the first time. It is usually collected form
the source. This data gives rawer and specific information about the issue and topic. It can be
collected through many modes. Out of them some methods of collecting primary data are:
Interview:
It is one of the important technique of collecting data where interviewer will directly ask
questions from the participants. In this method a sample from population will be selected and
then questions will be asked from them.
Observation:
Under this method observation will be conducted upon the people and their actions or
thoughts will be closely observed by the observer. This is also included under primary data
because a direct observation is being taking place between observer and the person who is being
monitored.
Experiments:
Under this method the researcher will change some independent variable and on the basis
of that it is being analysed that what is the effect of those variable over other. Here other variable
referred to as dependent variables.
Questionnaire:
It refers to a format which includes a series of questions based on issue and concept. It is
being circulated among respondents where they have to mark appropriate answers.
Since, questionnaire involves closer interaction along with enabling freedom to
respondents so, it raises the chances of getting more accurate information. Thus, it would be right
to said that out of many methods questionnaire is the most suitable method to collect primary
data.
