2REALISTIC MOBILE COMMERCE APPLICATION Business Flow and Architecture: The mobile application is divided into three parts such as payments, bank payments and entertainment. A single mobile device can have only one application installed in it. The application has user management feature that allows the users to register and login. The m- commerce application will not be considered as the traditional E-commerce cum payment gateway application. It will be a fully-fledged Payments Bank Organization. The revenues that this E-Commerce application of Muscatel will make will be categorized into payments section, payment bank, payments & wallet integration and DTR and entertainment. For the mobile recharge, electric bill recharge and many other recharges, the application will be taking two to four percent of the commission. The commission of the application will be higher than that of physical shops that makes used to make recharge on behalf of customer. For every purchase made through the payments bank, the application will provide virtual money to the digital wallet which can only be redeemed through this application. It will encourage the users to make more payments using the integrated digital wallet. Allowing multiple accounts through a single application will make the application hugely flexible in terms of customer handling. If one customer does not have enough virtual money, then the other customer can login to their account to make the payment. For the entertainment part, the entertainment features will be partially free. The customers can use basic features but for accessing the advanced features in the entertainment section they have to upgrade to plus or similar termed service. Implications:The application will hugely advance the customer loyalty and base. The organization can adapt the idea that only Muscatel service holders can access the upgraded
3REALISTIC MOBILE COMMERCE APPLICATION entertainment section for free then it will boost the e-commerce application sales. The huge customer base of the organization will push the application sales. The offers will promote the digital wallet of the e-commerce application. Technical Requirements: User Management:It will be the first technical requirement of the application because it will allow the application identify the user. As the system will allow different users to login into same application, the phone number based direct verification is not an option. The user management will be done using registration and login. Data Storage:Tracking the activities of the user is a significant part of the business. The organization requires to share these data with the customer or later use these data for analysis. That is why storing the data in a safe place is essential. As the amount of data that system server will handle is huge, the big data is selected as the data storage medium. Security:The application should have encryption methods that will protect the data from being accessed by cyber criminals. This is essential because data will travel through less secure open internet medium. The server should be DoS and other major cyber-attack free. Bandwidth:The bandwidthof thenetwork shouldbe high andcontinuouswhile accessing the entertainment section. Less bandwidth network can be used for making payments and using payments bank section. Performance:The application will be working very less because most of the time it will be idle. However, same cannot be said for the server. The huge customer base will force the server to process thousands of requests per second simultaneously.

7REALISTIC MOBILE COMMERCE APPLICATION Figure 4: Network Design for Server and Client Connection (Source: Created by Author) The network diagram clearly shows that the network will be using ring topology. This topology will have a network distributor in the middle of the network so that each user can access the network. Each client will be connected to that network distributor device directly. So that, if a mobile device is disconnected, the other devices are not affected. Devices: In order to store the data, the database server will need a server system that can support the MongoDB. The server system will have a high-end computer with high computational power. Physical disks of 2TB at least fifty connected to the database server system. For the application server, more powerful computer will be used. The application server will have less
8REALISTIC MOBILE COMMERCE APPLICATION amount of storage capacity than database server system. Each server computer will have thread reaper microprocessor. The network will be distributed through existing telecom towers. The application will use the internet of any kind such as mobile internet and broadband through Wi-Fi. The user devices are low in processing capacity. That is why the server will be responsible for all the processing that requires medium powered processes. This will allow smooth service for low and medium end mobile devices. Critical Evaluation: In this assignment I have learned to develop the prototypes in Adobe XD. I had used other applications for developing the prototypes but for this application I used XD and it is very fast and reliable. The prototypes are clickable, therefore simulation of the developed prototypes can be done. I have also learned more about designing the network. I was slightly aware of how to develop a LAN design but including the internet, tower and client devices was new. I learned how the payment gateway organizations and mobile entertainment service providers like Spotify works. I learned how the business requirements are converted into system requirements. I have also learned what kind of devices are used in the servers. The main technical issues that could happen to the application is providing flawless service to low spec devices. No matter how much processing is done by server, few processes needs to be done by the mobile device and low end mobile devices may hang during that processing.
