1. What e-commerce services are provided by m-commerce?

M-commerce provides various services of electronic commerce,
which are as follows:
i)
Internet Banking: The first and the foremost service of e-
commerce provided by m-commerce is Internet banking. It is the method
of banking, by which several transactions are being conducted
electronically through the Internet connection (Lu 2014). Internet banking
software enables corporate and personal banking services that offer
features like checking recent transactions, obtaining statements, making
payments and viewing account balances (Yadav, Sharma and Tarhini
2016). This particular e-commerce service has become possible only
because of the technological advancements of m-commerce.
ii)
Online Shopping: The second important and significant service
of e-commerce provided by m-commerce is online shopping. This type of
shopping is the most basic action and activity to purchase goods or
services through the Internet connection (Lin
et al. 2014). The online
stores allow the customers in sing the search features for finding specified
items, brands and models.
iii)
E entertainment: Another distinctive and popular e-commerce
service, provided by m-commerce is e-entertainment (Lee and Wong
2016). This specific service allows downloading, playing as well as
enjoying entertainment media like video, music and games through
Internet connection.
iv)
Online Gambling: This is yet another important service of e-
commerce that is being provided by m-commerce (Localsphere. 2016).
This type of gambling includes football betting, playing casinos and many
more. Online gambling is a popular source of e-entertainment for users.

2. Discuss the role of m-commerce in retailing.
M-commerce is increasing its hold in the retail sector and it has
distinctive roles in this particular sector. The details of these roles are as
follows:
i)
Increased Market Place Importance: This is the first and the
foremost significance of m-commerce in retail sector. The market place
importance is majorly incremented with this type of technology (Yadav,
Sharma and Tarhini 2016). The retailers implement various strategies for
reaching out to the customers through their phones and hence enhancing
mobile commerce.
ii)
Integration with Life Style: The second distinctive role of the
m-commerce in retailing is its integration with life style. In today’s world,
it has become extremely important to remain integrated with the life style
and maintain a presence (Lin
et al. 2014).
iii)
Using as a Digital Wallet: The next important and significant
role of mobile commerce in retailing would be utilizing as a digital wallet
(Eastin
et al. 2016). This type of wallet is the system, which securely
stores the confidential payment information as well as passwords for
several payment web sites or methodologies. After utilizing the digital
wallet, the users could easily complete the purchase process in a much
easier and quicker procedure with the near field communication
technology or NFC technology.
iv)
Facilitating Comparisons for User: M commerce facilitates
comparisons for the users in the entire retail sector. With this particular
opportunity, it becomes quite easier to make a position in the market
without much complexity.
v)
New Opportunities: The consumers of mobile commerce
enhance the new opportunities in retail sector so that they are able to
gain much popularity in comparison to other sectors (Nilashi
et al. 2015).
The most significant opportunities include airport applications, QR codes,
e-bills, auctions, mobile ticketing and many more.
vi)
Potential Ability in Understanding Customer: The retail
sectors would be able to understand the customers effectively with m-
commerce by providing services to reach out to them and hence gaining
much more popularity in comparison to others. Cookies are messages,
which the web servers eventually pass on to the web browser when
Internet sites are visited (Lu 2014). In the websites of retail organizations,
they could obtain knowledge about people, who have visited the website.
vii)
Localisation: M-commerce even enables localisation for retail
sector, thus enhancing growth of the position in market in an effective
manner (Lai and Lai 2014).
viii)
Gaining Opportunities in terms of RFID tags and QR
codes: QR code is the trademark for any kind of matrix barcode. It
comprises of a machine readable optical label, which comprises of
information regarding the item, with which it is being attached. Another
significant opportunity is radio frequency identification tags that utilizes
electromagnetic fields for automatic identification and tracking tags that
are attached to the objects (Lee and Chen 2014). These tags are the most
