CHAPTER 1 - INTRODUCTION1.1 OverviewRecruitment and enrolment are the core functions of human resource management.Through this, organization is able to attract right people having required skills and knowledgeaccording to the respective position. Recruitment should be done through following a systematicprocess such as selection, induction of employees and so on (Picciano, 2012). It has beendesigned for analysing the strengths and weaknesses of person and defining business to approachto them as well. Furthermore, it is a helpful tool to attract best person for company who is fit forfulfilling the purpose of business. Members of firm have to entertain several round for selectingthe most suitable candidate for job and try to analyse their importance. Higher authority shouldtake final decision to select the person for job and provide salary on the basis of theirexpectations or as per company’s norms. But, in this process, higher education of candidatesattracts more than the average education. There are large number of companies requiring highereducation from the best universities. Educated employees having higher knowledge about workof company and they are actively performing their function which are allotted to them as perskills and knowledge (HIGHER EDUCATION MARKETING, 2017).Background of research- The present dissertation is based on identifying significantmethods of higher education student recruitment in educational institutions such as Newhamcollege university centre. Every entity wants to select employees having skills, knowledge andexperience and able to meet the requirement of firm (Gudo, Olel and Oanda, 2011). Educatedperson is having capability to easily understand the things. The present case study of report basedon Newham University. Members of this entity are highly educated and capable to educate otherpeople. Students learn huge range of subjects for the purpose of enhance their knowledge andskills. The main aim of this entity is toprovide best quality services for patient care (Luo and Jamieson-Drake, 2013). Best medicalservices provided by this entity is that several types of emergency services. Members of suchfirm are responsible to use their collective efforts in to ensures and attract people. This companyis able to contribute in the growth and development of country. 1.2 BackgroundNewham College University centre (NUC) has been considered as higher education facultyof Newham College. It provides high quality of education courses. Due to this reason, educationinstitution needs to recruit higher education students. It should be done to conduct effectiverecruitment process and need to follow several steps of selection (Henry, Bastian and Smith,2012). Such college having campuses at Startford as well as East Ham. It provides variouslearning facilities and opportunities to people to enhance their skills and knowledge. Every university required educated and skilled students for the betterment of their futureperformance. Newham College University has linked with Newham University Hospital conductrecruitment session in order to appoint best person who is fit for job. It is the systematicapproach which is opt by large number of firm to improve their efficiency and maintainperformance in international market (Middaugh, 2011) (Kabakchieva, 2013).
