Recycling and Reusing
This research was conducted at (insert place) between x date and y May. At total of 43
participants were interviewed and sentiments recorded, transcribed and analyzed for reporting.
The following sections detail the findings of the study in line with the previously set study
parameters in the survey data collection tool i.e the survey questionnaires that were issued out
to the respondents to collect the required data of the study.
1.0 Demographic Characteristic
Demographic characteristics of the participants of the survey were captured. This was in regards
to sex age and nationality of the respondents. This section expounds on these attributes of
demography as they captured during the study.
1.1 Gender

2.11 Respondents different Reasons about Why They Think Recycling is Important
Document Page
RECYCLING AND REUSING 15
For the majority of the respondents of this survey, they tend to think that recycling is more
beneficial and important as it helps to reduce pollution r in other words ensure the sustenance of
a clean environment with no litter. As to this revelation, a total of 35 staff i.e. 23 females and 12
males alluded to this.

Notwithstanding, some other respondents confirmed that to them recycling was important as it
worked well in terms of enabling a person, an organization, a society a nation by extension, to

persons who were engaged in this exercise stated that recycling greatly save resource with 20
being females and the rest being the males.
2.11 Different Reasons for Not Recycling Waste Products
Different reason for not recycling products were given out by the respondents of the survey. The
most quoted reasons were recycle bins being placed at a distance place form them which hinders
their movements and deliver of waste products (17 persons stated this with 10 being females and
7 males), others cited lack of time to take their waste products to the recycle bins and also being
busy ether at work or with daily livingactivities at work (17 persons also alluded to this; 11 being
females and 6 being their mal counteparts) and limited recycling services (18 persons
emphasized on this with 14 being females and 4 being their male peers) The figure below
summarizes the outcome of this question as per the collected data that was analyzed.

From the Figure 12 above, it is justifiable to say that some men do not love to recycle some of
their waste products as they look upon what their friend are doing i.e. if my peer does not
recycle, I also do recycle or in case my recycle friend recycle then I recycle. This sounds very
funny and at the same time very crazy and confusing; 3 men confirmed this.
2.13 Factors that Would Influence the Recycling Habits of the Sampled Participants
Different factors usually influences the way people behave for given life situations. For this
research, the investigator sought to know what would influence the sampled participants to even
recycle more for those who were already doing it or to start recycling for those who were not
doing it. In line with this study parameter, results as summarized by figure 13 were recorded.
