INTRODUCTION
Healthcare practices is an activity that help for people to provide the best quality of social
care. The practice of medicine by the health care staff and physicians who share their resources
and premises. This report will discuss about the purpose of reflection in healthcare and practices.
Moreover, this essay will describe the different models and tools that applicable in the reflection
of healthcare practices. At last, it will review the reflective practices that support to the service
environment.
TASK 1
P1 The purpose of reflection in healthcare and practices.
Health care is an essential part of human being to survive within the betterment of society
and community. Healthcare will help for maintenance and improvement of health such as
treatment of disease, prevention, diagnosis, physical and mental requirements in the human
beings (Ahlström and et.al., 2018). The reflection practises is the term that become well known
within health care areas. Reflective practices is necessary for nurses which are responsibility for
providing the care to the patients and their families.
The main purpose of reflection is reviewing the experience of practise in order to
evaluate describe and analyse the information regarding the learning practise. For Example- In
NHS, There are many patients that have changed their overall physical activities and intake
dietary, which impact on the maintains the glucose level of patient body. It many positive factor
that influence the efficiency and performance (Barrett, 2018). The nurse was provided the
opportunity to demonstrated the competency, but they also wanted to observe more things. The
best practises can choose the proper reflection model that depending on the basis of exercise they
had reflected the ability of practitioner although models of reflection required to be applied in
proper manner.
P2 Describe the models and tools used for reflection in health and social care practice.
Reflection is to be considered as critical dimension of health professional development. It
standards and credentialing the process to demonstrate continuing competence for health
professional. Reflection at the superficial level that makes reference to an exiting skill,
knowledge base and also include the various theories. There are different type of model used in
the reflection of healthcare practices.

Gibbs reflective model- The Gibbs reflective model is a type of reflective writing that shows
their own experience and incident. It is the most common reflection model that used within the
healthcare professional. It is clear and precise model that allows for analysing, evaluating and
describing the experience helping the practitioner to make sense of own happening.

When any type of writing the portfolio of practices that expected to include the piece of
reflection after the placement. This model will relate the situation in the healthcare work where
the people feel to lead new things (Dawson and et.al., 2018). It also helps for increasing the
future growth and development. Gibbs' model is the best approach in the health care professional
because it helps for prompts the practitioner to formulate the action plans. It is beneficial for
improving the practices in future development.

Johns Model of reflection -
This model is based on the question that enable to break down the experience and reflect on the
results and process. This model is used in the healthcare professional to explore the aesthetic,
ethics and empiric and personal knowing which encourages of reflective practices.

John model of reflection can be used for analysis the critical incident and normal reflection on
the experience (Roques and Bouteyre, 2018). It is considered that the sharing reflection is based
on the learning experiences. In this way, it can be understands that the physicians and other team

members has ability to handle the task by using knowledge and skill. It is expertises in the self
awareness to provide the information regarding the proper dietary and health cares.
Common Tools for reflection in healthcare and social practices
In the healthcare and social professional, It is needed for staff members to educate about
the self awareness and their reflection build a strong foundation of knowledge in social care. It is
important for identifying the tools that used in the reflective practices (Sundström and et.al.,
2018). There are different type of tool used such as critical analysis, supervision and reflective
diaries etc.
Critical incident have found the practitioner that consider the contextual issues and also
promoting the critical thinking. On the other hand, reflective diaries are also highlighted the
effective method in the reflection. The healthcare supervision has recognized the proper safe
reflective space that provide practitioner in the engaged working culture and environment.
M1 Review the ways that reflective practice s applied in health care or support service
environments
The reflective practice is applied on the healthcare and support the service environment
by using the Gibb's reflection models to consider the incident that happen in the working
environment. It is the best way to review the practises and also making actions plans for
resolving the problems in proper manner (Van Beveren and et.al., 2018). This model is
established the framework of reflection ans support the environment such as service based
learning and mentorship.
For Example- In NHS, Nurses leaders are managed the healthcare environment and also
help for changing the culture. Manager providing the facility to change the roles of nurses. There
role have become more specialist, accountable and autonomous on the results and outcomes.
They can be used their own concepts to perform different action plan on the basis of analysis
situations (Van Landschoot and et.al., 2018). Nurses also find the best ways to involve towards
the decision making. It also designed a proper workplace system with the help for Gibbs model.

CONCLUSION
As per discussion, it concluded that Healthcare practices is an activity that help for
people to provide the best quality of social care. The practice of medicine by the health care staff
and physicians who share their resources and premises. It summarized the purpose of reflection
in healthcare and practices. Moreover, this essay describe the different models and tools that
applicable in the reflection of healthcare practices and also reviewing about the reflective
practices that support to the service environment of healthcare.
