During the fourth week of the project, group members coordinated their efforts effectively, resulting in the learning of different skills such as team working and designing website content. The team's effort helped them nearly finish the layout of their website within the course of the week.

INTRODUCTION
This report is an reflection of students learning which he gained in the process of
designing a website. The project comprises of different groups of students to work in teams on a
project which focussed on web site design. The report will analyse the experience of a students
in the fourth week of the project which comprised of developing design and layout for the
project. In order to analyse the learning Gibbs reflection model have been used (Cottrell, 2017).
Reflection is refereed as a piece of writing which summarises a student's critical
refection on a particular subject or project. It are frequently used as components of assessment of
practical projects. Under the report a students reflection is being presented based on their
learning at the four week in their project. In this week students are coordinating there activities
through using devices and applications such as what's app. It also comprises of posting the
information on the mock up website. In order to understand the learning Gibbs six stage model
have been used.
Gibb's six stage reflection model
The model was developed by Graham Gibbs and was published in his reflective cycle in 1998. It
is used for helping people to learn from different situation that they experience regularly. The
cycle is further divided into six stages that can be elaborated below-
Description - It comprises of the description of the situation the fourth week comprises
of meeting as I was late for the meeting and soon after I realised that I was not the only one other
members were also late for the same. In the week our group conducted an replacement meeting
which was conducted over phone by suing what's app. In the what's app I received information
about splitting the tasks among the different members of the group. The task were not being
divided by the team leaders instead they were divided by the other four members and then they
posted the same information on the social media. I was in charge of gaining the information
related to task and then uploading the same to our mock up website that is being used for sharing
information. In the later week we decided to come together and work on putting context on for
our website by using web tool that such as word press and nearly finished the design and layout
for the website.
Felling- In the initial meeting phase I was worried that I am late for the meeting and
after realising that other member have done the same made me feel a bit relaxed. After this I

realised the task are not being allotted by team leaders instead of that they are being divided by
four member of the team and they posted the same on the social media app. As it was my
responsibility to post the task details on the mock up website I felt a bit left out as it was my duty
to do the same. As the task divided the responsibility among different team members I felt
excited about fulfilling my job responsibility and learning experience that will be enhanced by
working together. By working on different task and it would help me to gain knowledge and
share the expertise level of different members of the group along with my expertise level.
Evaluation- While getting late for the meeting I was felling worried as it is a group
activity and my one person's mistake the entire group might get late as the meeting was
conducted for discussing important task that were related to the project. As the project was in a
crucial stage and the meeting were directed towards development of the content that is the reason
why I felt a bit worried. After realising that other member have not been there for the meeting I
felt relaxed as I am not the only one who was late and I can share the blame with other members.
The duty of posting about the different task responsibility was undertaken my me. As the
other members have posted the same have made me feel a bit left out as it was my responsibility
to post the same on the mock up website. After the task were divided I felt excited as it involved
working in team and working on designing tolls such as WordPress that I have not used them for
a while also it would give me an apportunity to brush up on some of my old job skills. As I am a
computer guy I felt very comfortable with my position in the group which comprised of putting
my opinion in front of the group whether it is related with certain color style of writing or with
creative ideas that can be used in the designing process. It was overall an exiting week as we
nearly finished the design and layout of your project website.
Analysis – By working in a group as a member the entire situation have helped me to
enhance my skills of web designing as I have been keen on designing websites and by working
in group have helped to brush up my skills which I have not been using it for a period of time.
My working in a group it have helped to get different ideas all thrown at me at the same time by
different group members. It will help me to develop skills such as team working and also will
help me to continue on designing web site and following my passion of designing. It have also
helped to gain better knowledge about tools such as Wordpress which is an important toll for
developing content for the website. The entire process helped me with an opportunity to enhance

my coding and designing skills that helped me to assist the group in an comfortable manner as
being a computer guy I felt comfortable with the designing process.
Conclusion- During the week we conducted replacement meeting on phone using what's
app have helped us to held meeting in proper time period and have helped in involving all the
members in an effective manner and also have saved the time associated with informing different
member about their duties and task that they need to follow in the project. Informing on the
mock website and what's app have helped us in sharing information in quick manner. As the task
of the different group members have been defined and allotted on pre planned basis this have
helped in elimination of confusion among the group members and have also helped in proper
assignment of job responsibilities this have helped team to work in coordinated manner. This is
done in order to eliminate the last minute confusion among group members.
The process have equipped me various skills such as team working skills as the project
helped the group member to put their point of view and participate at different level of the
project. It has helped me to learn about how to work in a team and how to fulfil different duties
that are being delegated to me in proper time period. which will help me to work in team in the
future as well as I have experienced how to coordinate different activities among team members
in order to achieve overall goals.
Action plan- After working in the project as group member I have learned about
different things such as I have enhanced my current knowledge about website designing and
have had an opportunity to brush up my old skills. After working in team and on a web project I
have gained confidence of following the passion for designing in the future as well. It have
helped me to gain the confidence and courage to pursue the web designing in the future as well.
It also have helped me to know about different action that needs to taken in project
management that will help me to finish my future projects. Actions such as dividing the task
responsibility among different segment, working in coordinated manner and communicating with
different team members and putting the ideas forward so that team can have a range of ideas to
choose from and can work in a systematic manner which is directed towards fulfilment of the
objective of the project.

Task 1b – Reflective final summative report
Introduction
The current reflection section is based on learning and experience developed from PPDI
by an individual after completion of their project. It will also discuss upon a specific reflective
model which will support in understanding actual output of PPDI.
Learning from reflection is considered as the essential way by which individuals can go
through from their overall experience and could deeply analyse that what was good and what
was bad. Along with this, personal reflection of an individual also tells them that what are their
core weak skill which have affected their performance and career. In addition to this, it also
aware individual that how they can easily use this reflected information for developing their
weak skill that could improve their professional growth in positive manner. Appropriate usage of
reflection helps individual in developing themselves and maximising working capabilities in
future with improved skills.
Throughout my overall Journey of this project. I have gone through numerous of phases.
Some of them were really positive and motivating and some of them have realised me that I
should focus on some of the weak skills in order to improve them in effective manner. At the
starting stage of this project I was highly excited about my session as I know that after
completion of these session I will definitely learn many things. But, this excitement drop
narrowly when I got to know that actual things are not that much easy which I have assumed at
the starting time. During the session, I have realised that still there are numerous of skills which
are weak in me are required to be developed in effective manner. On the basis of my own PPDI,
I have evaluated that my core weak skills were presentation, team work, communication, time
management and technical skills. It can be said that all of these skills are considered as the core
skills which are highly required by me to develop in me so that I can improve my professional
success growth. Along with this, it can be said that if I want improve these skills of mine then it
is essential for me to attend some training sessions through which I can get opportunity to learn
my weak areas and also opportunity to improvise them in positive manner. Further, it can be said
that PPDI have made me learnt many new but essential skills that will help me out in improving
my career. In the current study I have chosen Kolb's experimental learning cycle. The main
reason behind choosing this model is that it allows me to reflect my actual experience in the form

of model so that I could analyse it effectively which would be contribute in analysing core weak
and strengths. Along with this, the by using this model I can use different option me
improvement that will contribute in future success of mine.
Kolb's experimental learning cycle has been used by me to acknowledge skills possessed
by me and requirements of job can be analysed. Basically it comprises of two continuum's which
forms a quadrant (Cousins and Chouinard, 2012). They are processing and perception. It is
defined as our approach for development of website by either watching the teams members to
work on by being an active part of team. In perception continuum, an emotional response is
generated like learning by thinking means innovative approach to design a website and feeling
what more enhancements can be made further. This cycle works on by considering different
level. It is a four-stage learning cycle, I have used this theory as it will provide with learner's
cognitive process.
Major reason for making use of this while developing this website is to analyse personal
experience, then it is reviewed, analysis is done and it is evaluated systematic way within three
stages. After completion of this process, new experiences can be formed from starting point till
its finished. By this I can gain knowledge in different aspects as well as acquire different skills.
Its phases are illustrated below:
Concrete experience: It is considered as one of the most important stage in which
experience related with different situations is carried out. While taking into consideration PPDI
(Project/Placement Design and implementation), I have understood that it will help me in
reflection in systematic manner by which I can gain knowledge about various aspects and can
also acquire experience based on that while carrying out process of website development within
meant time frame. Apart from this, learning contract (it is agreement between supervisor and
learner in which it is made sure that certain activities will be carried out by which learning goals
can be attained and specific evidences are presented through which it can be determined that goal
has been attained) which is given along with PPDI, assisted me to gain experience. By this I can
improvise my skills like team work, technical skills, presentation skills, time management and
communication skills. They will assist me in future perspective. Basically, these skills have been
developed by working within a team as perspectives of different people vary. Apart from this, I
have found that website designing is not an easy approach, though it is also not tough but
designing part is critical it completely depends on innovative thinking of individual like what

features they must provide, what all images my be present and many more. It will help me to
identify what are the specific requirements of project and carry them within mentioned time
frame.
Reflective observation: It is also a crucial stage of this model as it comprises of
enhanced thinking with respect to what individual has learnt from their project as well as
experience they have acquired from this. To be very honest, I don't have knowledge to develop
website which is for dynamic use. By this my technical skills will be enhanced which will help
me in my studies as well as in career. I have discussed it with my tutors and trained myself by
which I can become more deliberate by reviewing the experiences.
Abstract conceptualisation: This stage deals with formulation of concepts which were
formulated by thinking wide range of experiences which were gained while entering into this
projects. Depending on this, I have learnt various things while carrying out development process
of website and understanding concepts related with this, I was confused as it all dealt with
presentation skill i.e. designing. But by having effective approach with help of team I was able to
understand this concept and I have learnt various things which will aid me in creation of my own
concepts with context to this.
Active experimentation: This is the last stage in which individual learn from their
experiences which they have gained from carrying out project. I am not satisfied with my
performance as I don't have relevant knowledge related with this project and I was not able give
my best. I realised that any project requires that high performance is required so that effective
results can be obtained. But for this it is necessary that I must clear all the stages of Kolb's
reflective cycle through our experiences, their interpretations and by analysing entire impact of
interpretations within stipulated time duration.
Furthermore, I have analysed that this model assisted me to focus on various aspects like
enhancements of skills. But this model is difficult to implement as some tasks were difficult to
complete. But I have gathered a knowledge with respect to PPDI.
On the basis of above chosen reflective model that is Kolb's Learning Cycle, it has been
evaluated that from this experience, I have learnt valuable knowledge and experience because
generally they reflects upon my own experience which shows my positive as well as negative
experience towards the event. Along with this, it further helps me gaining information based on
existing performance and its output.

Apart from this, it can be further said that reflection on experience and learning are
helpful for individual in understanding its actual positive output of event. It also aware them out
the knowledge and skills which are attained by them. Along with this, it has been further seen
that knowledge gained from reflection is more interesting and valuable for individual as it helps
in learning in easy and interesting manner. It also provides chance to learners to realising about
their good skills which can be seen as they their strengths.
Conclusion
On the basis of above placed discussion, it has been concluded that reflective learning is
very helpful for learners in understanding weak and strengthen skills. Further, it has been
identified that Kolb's Learning Cycle is one of the best reflective model which expresses each
positive and negative experience of learner and also helps them out improving their weak skills.
TASK 2
2a) Personal analysis
In order to seek effective learning skill in order to learn web designing, it is important for
me to analyse personal analysis. Thus, in order to effectively evaluate strength and capabilities in
best possible way it is also required to compete assignment of a particular specified time
(Cottrell, 2017). In relation to this, further by accessing opportunities will benefit to analyse
strength which will help in increasing self abilities. Moreover, it is also required for learner to
evaluate short, long and medium term goals for further aspiring career development
opportunities with the help of which learner can able to find more growing opportunity in their
career. As a learner of GSM university, I have effectively evaluated, Time management,
presentation, Technical Skills, Communication and Team working in following manner:

From the above report it can be concluded that during the fourth week of the project the
