Reflective report
In health care sector there are many people working in it. They all perform various roles
and responsibility. For that it requires relevant skills and knowledge. I also encountered with
some issues which i will be reflecting here. There is need to ensure that issue must be solved by
working in ethical way (Konradsen et.al., 2020). Similarly, i am working as a health care
practitioner. My role is to provide health care services to patient. but i found that there are
certain issues which can occur in it. The issues directly affect on my performance and
professional growth. So, i also encountered with those issues which is specified as. First issue
that arise is doctor patient communication. It is common issue which occurs. Here, there is
ineffective communication between patient and doctor. The patent may not be able to
communicate effectively with doctor. So due to it patient needs is not properly identified by
doctor. It may led to providing improper health care services to patient. in addition, issue may
occur due to communication gap. I think that for a good practice it is important as it allows in
finding out patient needs by effectively communicating. So, if doctor is able to interact properly
then it becomes easy to provide care services. Besides that, patient needs is analysed by doctor
and accordingly further care plan is developed. However, there are certain factors as well which
influence this issue such as patient health condition, language, use of words in it, etc. so, if there
is any change in these then communication is highly affected. Moreover, i think that it depends
on doctor skill that how he is able to understand patient situation. I find out there are certain
practices to solve this issue. Here, i need to gain knowledge about communication methods.
Also, by setting of systematic method it becomes easy to interact with patient. another is that
patient family member support is taken (Rockwell et.al., 2018). It will allow me to collect data
and info and easily communicate with patient. through that as well the needs can be identified
in effective way and issues faced by patient is evaluated as well. Besides, practice of taking
feedback of patient is also way to solve this issue. With that it is found out that whether
information taken is matching with it or not. Also, in this assurance can be gained as well.
Moreover, another issue which i found as practitioner is breaking bad news to patient.
sometimes, it arise when patient situation is already critical and then bad news has to be
informed. In this i might be not able to interact with patient and inform of news. Besides that, i
might not follow process in it and without knowing patient health condition broke him sad news.
