Extent of agreement with the results of the emotional intelligence test
I feel that the results of the emotional intelligence test is correct and I agree with the
results because I have got 8 out of 10 in self-awareness, 5 out of 10 in self-management, 9 out of
10 in social-awareness and 8 out of 10 in relationship management. Self-awareness refers to the
extent to which people are aware of their emotions in relation to others. A good score in self-
awareness shows that I am well aware of my emotions and also understand the impact of my
emotions on the workplace relationships and performance for instance I am never affected by my
emotions when I am in workplace because if I get affected then I will affect my colleagues as
well, I have an accurate self-assessment that is I am well aware of my strengths and weaknesses
for instance I know that I am a good communicator and I try to use my strength for the benefit of
others whenever possible in the office by having free communications with others and I have
high self-confidence showing that I give value to myself. I feel that the score that I have got in
self-awareness is correct because I am confident, I am emotionally stable and I understand my
emotions (laureate-au.blackboard.com., 2019). An average score in self-management shows that
I have good self-control and therefore I am able to keep my emotions under control in many
situations. I am an honest person and have high integrity and therefore I decide to do what is
right and I do what I say and therefore the score is correct according to me. I have got a high
score in social-awareness and which shows that I am empathetic person, I am well aware of the
organization and therefore I am able to meet the customer’s needs. I have also got a high score in
relationship management therefore I am able to manage my work and relationship balance
properly and this is also correct because I give equal importance to meet work and to my
relationship.
