INTRODUCTION Reflective commentary is a kind of reflective documents which has been created in order to illustrate personal experiences related to any specific situation in complete ad successful manner (Robinson, 2018). This report will elaborate the aspects of relationship between theories and practices of work related contexts, implications in relation to Bucks Graduate Attributes, future planning along with preparation of CV. MAIN BODY Reflection over the relationship between theories and practices in an organization ï‚·Description: As per the experiences that has been faced by me within the company illustrates that according to the deontological ethical theory, it has been stated that the people should be treated with respect and dignity after identification of their duty and actions accordingly. I have experienced that rules are rules that plays a major role at the workplaces specifically. One of the incident that had been occurred in front of my eyes are that the marketing manager within my organization influence their team members to do extra tasks by doing wrong and false promises to them in order to get the tasks completed. In my opinion it was the wrong practice and breaches the ethical ways of doing work. Although the outcomes were highly appreciable for the department but somehow it drastically affects the individual perception of doing work among the company. On more experience that I want to share is related to esteem needs of an individual as according to the Maslow Hierarchy theory, it has been evaluated that the people feel highly motivated if their employer provides attention towards fulfilment of their these needs by providing them worth and respect (Bar-Itzhak, 2020). This had been personally experienced by me when I got appreciation in front of my team members for my great level of performances among the given projects and assignments at workplace. ï‚·Feelings: In order to get the experiences from above mentioned activities, I feel that there are various things that have been prepared are highly beneficial to fulfil the practical requirements of an individual. After analysing the situation that has been occurred with the marketing team members, I felt that it is highly unethical way to do their tasks and assignments by making wrong promises and commitments. It manages the situation for smaller duration of time but impacts drastically in long run concept. 1
Moreover, with second experiences, it has been identified that making employees feel important and valuable for the company plays a major and significant role in order to make them feel motivated and satisfied. Evaluation:Fromboththesituations,Ihaveevaluatedthattherelationshipand connection among the theories and practices are extremely important as it demonstrated one's abilities with the help of using evidences to enhance the understanding of key concepts that the researcher wants to explain. These also assist in justifying the decision- making procedure along with prepare future practices in successful manner. Moreover, they also provide detailed analysis over the corporate designing, prepare structures and handle behaviour of individuals among the establishment in individual or collaborative manner. Conclusion: From the above mentioned analysis, the information that has been gathered that there are various management, motivational, ethical, etc. theories that has been used at the workplace according to which the employees are highly able to manage their work in structured manner along with having high motivational and productivity manner (Noels, Lascano and Saumure, 2019). Moreover, such theories' ad practices also enables an individual to enhance their skills and abilities that requires further improvements along with identification of certain weaknesses that still requires action plan in order to prepare and enhance the overall abilities of working into an establishment. Action: In order to enhance the skills and abilities that has been identified after analysing all the relevant and appropriate theories and practices, I will prepare an action plan that will appropriately assist me to generate or increase my level of understanding about the things that are highly beneficial for me to increase my future career perspectives. Moreover, there are various things that I have learnt from experiences that I have share above also enables me to act accordingly and by identifying my weaknesses work accordinglyoverthemforbetterfuturecareerplanningaswellaspersonal developments. On the basis of the above categorization, an individual or an employee determines and compares his own progress in terms of different types of skill development. As per my experience, I Have determined I have certain skills which can be of great help wherever I go and whatever career option I opt in future. moreover, the existing skills can be useful for various purposes (Jeske, and Linehan,2020). Currently, I have a skill set which includes issuing financial contracts, issuing of internal circulations, maintaining of stock records and stock closing per month. I developed these skills while I was working as an Executive Operator within Ameropa Grains SA, RO. I have also worked as a personal shopper in Ocado, United Kingdom where my responsibility was to take orders from the system, scan the goods and then transfer the same into the right place, to comply with all the regulations with respect to the safety while moving within or outside the warehouse and ensure that the floor, shelves, machinery and other things within the organization has been cleaned properly. My current skills can help me in the field of operations and management within an organization. This is so because my current skill set involves certain roles and responsibilities which relates to the field of operations and management within an enterprise. I can enhance my existing skills in order to gain a position holding a high authority within the enterprise and help me in moving ahead in my career. The responsibility of complying to the safety regulations will be helpful to me within an enterprise in ensuring the compliance of other legal and management related frameworks within the enterprise. The ability to issue financial contracts and maintaining the stock records can alos be helpful to me if I opt for a career within the field of quality management and compliance of legal and regulatory policies and rules within the organization. The ability to issue internal calculations can be useful for me in the field of accounting and finance within an organization (Sotiriadou, and et.al). As both of these departments involves the use of making calculation quickly for the purpose of determining the cost of goods sold, the operating expenses of the company, the profitability of the company, increase in the cost or the profit of an organization and make budgetary statements for the organization. However, I have determined that I am not that great in my existing skills which could be a problem if I switch my career from being in a position of working within a warehouse to acquiring a better position in a reputed organization. Therefore, there is a need for me improve 3
my current skills in order to acquire a better position. I should opt for training and tutorials which helps me in enhancing my knowledge of finance and help me in achieving a better position in a reputed organization. Preparation of financial budgets on my own will also help me indevelopinganunderstandingtowardsthehowbudgetsarebeingpreparedwithinan organization and learning the things which needs to be considered while developing a budget for an organization. Therefore, the improvement within my existing skills will help me acquiring a better position in my future within a reputed organization. Application of work related experiences and learning goals for future career plans From the experiences that I had grabbed within my establishment, I have realized that there are certain things that I have to improve within myself which includes knowledge regarding the enhancement of information regarding the ethical practices and theories that are highly suitable and significant in order to work appropriately within the workplace so that my team members will never have to face any difficulty just like the marketing department team members faced. In order to enhance my such kind of understanding, I will get information from various books and journals that are written specifically in order to increase the knowledge level regarding this particular topic that helps me to become a great leaders and lead my team members in most ethical manner. Moreover, I also have to require improve my personal intelligence and become a person who does not take decisions on the basis of emotional things. This is among one of my greatest weaknesses and requires urgent improvements in highly considerable manner. In order to improve so, I will take actions or adopt activities that will restrict my decision-making power over emotional basis and trough which I can able to create solutions or decisions over the basis of analysing actual conditions of the activity. Such kind of improvements will definitely helps me to increase my skills in order to get personal as well as professional goals in fruitful manner. My above mentioned work related experiences will definitely assist me act in responsible manner towards my team members and for the motivation enhancement, the similar things will definitely adopts by me in order to enhance the motivational level of my colleagues as well as team members in most successful ways. I have determined that I need to develop firm decision making within myself in order to gain a valuable position within a reputed organization in the future. I have identified that I am unable to 4
make decisions firmly and quickly within my organization which affects my reputation within the enterprise. Therefore, there is a need for me to develop firm decision making skills within myself. This can be developed within myself I observe things and try to understand their value within an organization (Cabral, and Dhar, 2019). The enhancement of knowledge will also help in making quick decisions within the company and hold an influential position within an organization. I have observed that if an individual has the ability to make effective and fast decisions and is capable of bringing change within an enterprise, the organization offer them a valuable position with influential power within the company. Therefore, the development of decision making skills is essential in order to achieve my future career plan. Also, I have analyzed that I am a slow learner and take time in carrying out things effective which leads to mismanagement of time. Therefore, it is essential for me to improve my way learning and also learn the technique of time management in order to save time. In order to learn things faster, I should keep on repeating the same things, try to remember the concepts or important information by joining or linking them with something fun and joyous which makes things easy to learn and remember. When I will be able grab things faster it will get easier for to inculcate the time management skills within myself. However, in order to develop the time management skills within myself, I will need to plan things in advance, prepare a time management schedules assigns a specific time with each of the tasks that needs to be carried out. CONCLUSION From the above report, it can be concluded that there are certain skills within myself which can help me in opting for a range of career options in the future. However, it has been determined that the existing skills needs to be enhanced in order to make it useful in acquiring a high position within a reputed organization in the future.
