Personal Development refers to lifelong process that helps the people in assessing the
skills along with the qualities. It helps individuals in realising the potential and it helps people
in leading a fulfilling life (Tattum and Tattum 2017). This reflective essay throws light on the
various areas of the modules that have contributed to my study skills along with the career
development. It has talked about the personal along with the professional strengths and the
areas that can be improved for achieving success in my profession.
The aspect of the module that has contributed to study skills along with the career
development relates to the competencies that can help an individual in achieving the career
aspirations. In my opinion the competencies are of crucial importance as the leadership
competencies refer to the leadership skills that can help an individual in achieving superior
performance within an organization (Nita, Solomon and Mihoreanu 2016). I think that the
leadership competencies can help an individual in solving the problems and making the
decisions within an organization.
In my view, the personal development plan can help me in managing the effective
teams that can pave the path for my professional development. I am of the opinion that the
part of module that deals with the personal development plan can prove to be crucial in rising
above in my profession. My personal strength is on account of the fact that I have analytical
skills that can help me in solving the problems in the organization. The analytical skills can
help me in managing relationships with the clients within the organization (Faris 2018). I am
also an effective listener that can help me in understanding the grievances and the problems
of the people working within the organization. Listening can help individuals in organization
in acquiring the facts that can help them in making the decisions that can benefit the business
(Van Ruysseveldt et al. 2018). Listening can prove to be crucial in building the trust within
the organization.
