How and why you developed as learner during this module
Learning style – As per this every individual person have different learning
style. In technical term, learning style of individual person is referred to the potential
way in that student processes, absorbs, retain information as well as comprehends
(Fonseca, Conde and García-Peñalvo, 2018). By understanding own learning style it
will become easy to learn things in effective manner without facing much difficulties.
Types of learning style – There are mainly seven type of learning style
explanation of these are as follows, Visual (Spatial) – In this learning style pictures,
spatial understanding as well as images will be utilise. Aural (auditory-musical) – In
aural learning style sound and music will be use for teaching purpose. Verbal
(linguistic) – In it for learning purpose words will utilise which can be speech as well
as writing both. Physical (Kinesthetic) – In this individual prefer body, hand as well as
sense of touch. Logical (mathematical) – Logical, reasoning and systems will prefer
in this learning style. Social (interpersonal) – This learning style use for learning in
group or with other peoples. Solitary (Intrapersonal) - Within this learning style
individual work alone and prefer to use self-study.
My learning style include aural, verbal and physical with the assistance of
these three style of learning it became easy for me to learn several things in more
effective manner (Lam and Marsden, 2017). During this module several skills and
knowledge has been developed in me explanation of these are as follows :-
Communication skills – It is the abilities which individual use while giving and
receiving different type of information. For instance, communicating new ideas,
feeling as well as updating related to project. Moreover, communication skills involve
speaking, listening, empathising as well as observing. There are several type of
communication skills which I learned in this module such as verbal, non-verbal,
written and visual. With the assistance, of these communication skills it become easy
for me to communicate with people in more effective manner. In future also effective
communication skills will provide assistance to me in gaining better future
opportunities.

Reading skills – It is related to the ability of understanding written text as well
as it is important for individual to develop reading skills at early age in school. When
an individual able to understand written text as well as combine their understanding
with prior knowledge particular person will be able to perform several reading
comprehension skills such as :- Identifying simple facts presented within written text,
Make judgement related to written text content and Connect text with other written
passages as well as situation.
There are four major type of reading style each and every style have their wide
importance in individual education (Qian, 2017). Explanation of these are as
follows :- Skimming – It is related to gist reading as well as assist in individual in
knowing what text is related to. Skimming is most basic level of reading style.
Scanning – It involves getting individual eyes to quickly scuttle across sentence as
well as scanning is used for getting a simple piece of information. Intensive –while
intensive reading individual should have clear aims in their mind as well as it is more
time consuming in comparison of scanning and skimming. Extensive – This reading
style involve reading for pleasure because it involve element of enjoyment in
extensive reading. It is unlikely that student will understand extensive reading of text
which don’t like by them. For me intensive reading style is more effective because it
have clear and objectives as well as I will reading things by clear vision that what I
have to do in future.
Reflective writing – It is an writing skills which utilise for analysing as well as
examine events, observation, memory and many more. In reflective writing writers
reflect on meaning as well as impact of the occasion (Schmidt and Heidenreich,
2018). Moreover, in simple term it can be said that reflection is mental procedure.
Reflective writing have its importance in individual life for getting better future
opportunities because with the assistance of this particular person will be able to
discuss on the things in more effective manner.
Digital Literacy – It is related to the abilities for using information as well as
communication technologies for evaluating, finding, creating, communicating
information as well as need both cognitive and technical skills. In today’s world
technology have its wide importance so it is important for individual to learn digital
literacy in more effective manner as it help in gaining future opportunities.

Academic referencing – It is acknowledge the source of material which used by
individual in writing. Along with this, academic writing is important to acknowledge
other people work that using by any individual.
World of work – The world of work is made up of the things most of the people
recognize such as employers, job, occupation, employees, promotions, pay checks
and many more (Billman and et. al., 2018). World of work has given different labels
by different people such as workers, organisation and many more. There is
requirement of several skills for performing within world of work such as time
management, interpersonal skills, team working, problem solving and many more.
By learning these skills individual will be able to manage their professional life in
more effective manner as well as can gain better future opportunities also.
Reflection on how to approach future challenges and expectations
There are numerous challenges and expectations faced by me during my
university course work. As it have to work hard for learning several skills and gaining
knowledge but it become difficult for me to paying my overall attention on this.
Because along with studies I have to focus on my work as well as family demand
also. Due to this I will not able to give by hundred percent to studies which became
as an challenge for me in developing my skills and knowledge in respective area.
