Monitor and evaluate the progress of the work-based project using appropriate tool
There has been considered employee’s engagement as the work based project. The employee
engagement is extent to which staff members feel passionate regarding their job, committed to an
organisation and also put the effort into their work. The employee’s engagement is not similar as
the employee satisfaction (Schafer, Snider and Sammour, 2016). It develops the positive
relationship among the employer and employee. Employer engage employees in the different
activities of company and this helps in increasing the motivation level of employees. In the
Tesco, fix and listen was aimed at facilitating the two-way communication and use the digital
technology in order to optimise the process. Staff members were invited to send their thoughts
through email or test which means minimum value to the participation. The leaders mainly
responded by the voicemails, internet, text and also in- store Communications. Tesco
organisation executed colleague’s engagement programs by the better communication channels
for an instance intranet, portal, notice board, emails and with the help of social media platforms.
Last year, organisation launch a campaign named Facebox in order to increase the employees.
This helps in increasing the employees to step forward and feel motivated to organisation. They
got the better opportunities to anchor the event and also connect with each other with the help of
forecast and videos (Tan and et. al., 2017).
TASK 6
Provide a Reflective Report evaluating your experience and learning at work
I feel better while working in the Tesco organisation. With the Tesco my experience was good
and I learnt different things regarding my job role and responsibility. In the workplace, all the
senior management was very supportive. In my future I want to work with Tesco organisation
because in this organisation I feel confident and my motivation level is enhanced. In this
organisation, my main focus is to work as the duty manager because it is my future career goal.
Through working in this organisation, my skills and abilities to perform the job role is enhanced.
I was not good in problem solving skills before joining the Tesco but after joining this company I
can able to enhance my problem solving skills and also provide the solution to my employees.
After working with Tesco organisation, I felt confident and able to communicate with the other
employees or colleagues confidently. I am happy to see all the changed in mine. From working 7
years in Tesco company as team leader, I learned about the different models and theories
regarding the leadership and management. The leadership theories are related to the great man
theory, trait theory, contingency, behavioural and others. The management theories which I
studied are contingency theory, systems theory, Theory X and Theory Y and scientific
the employee satisfaction (Schafer, Snider and Sammour, 2016). It develops the positive
relationship among the employer and employee. Employer engage employees in the different
