INTRODUCTION By having A levels as most recent educational experience I had challenging as well as enjoyable learning experience, as there are number of things that are required to be leaned by me in proper time frame that requires strict time schedule and skills (What Makes Students Attend Lectures? The Shift Towards Pragmatism in Undergraduate Lecture Attendance. 2004). While during the learning process I had many enjoyable experience in terms of acquiring new skills from different sources and measures. Ultimate goals for mine from this experience is to enhance my growth efficiency for professional development in order to have a best job. Further, it has been evaluated by me from my past learning experience is that I had lowest attendance as I am a pragmatic attender, as I always keen towards learning new things in order to fulfil my goal. In the sessions there were number of activities that were often given that are question and answer sessions, puzzles, Team-work tasks, brainstorming/mind-mapping and test and quizzes. It has been analysed by me that my past learning experience significantly influenced by views of learning, as I learned that I can increase my knowledge and can learn from different types of sources. It increased my confidence level and also motivated me towards more practice. Further according to past learning experience this has been determined that being educated from United Kingdom and in English language impacted by today learning in effective manner. As respective country is having internationally recognised universities in which quality education is offered. In addition to this, this country offers many scholarships and financial support and also provide work permit after studying. Learning Theory Analysis Learning styles theory by Honey & Mumford is being introduced to in class. It has been evaluated that this learning theory was coined by Peter Honey and Alan Mumford in the year 1986. Further it has been evaluated that this learning theory is mainly inspired and build upon Kolb's learning styles model. However Honey & Mumford developed their own learning styles questionnaire. In this theory there are mainly four different styles that are activists, theorists, pragmatists and reflectors (The Learning Styles Myth is Thriving in Higher Education. 2015). In terms with activists, these students mainly learn by doing with the help of activities like brainstorming, role-play, problem solving, group discussion, role-play etc. While it it is talked about theorists, these students basically need truths, models and ideas along with a particular 1
form of end goal in order to engage in learning process. Further it has been evaluated that pragmatists are those learners who are having significant capabilities to perceive how to put learning in practice with reality(Student decisions about lecture attendance: do electronic course materials matter?. 2007). For this they undertake use of discussion, case studies and problem solving. While, in context with reflectors these students learn things by contemplating and watching what happened. For this they mainly undertake advantage of personal questionnaires, self-analysis, interviews, paired discussions, time out, observing activities, coaching, feedback from others and more. Self-Analysis According to the analysis it has been evaluated that, Honey and Mumford theory were formed by Peter Honey and Alan Mumford and it is basically upon Kolb work. In this theory there are four different types of learning styles that are activists, theorist, pragmatist and reflector. In this according to the evaluation it has been identified by me that I am having activists learning styleaccording to Honey & Mumford's learning style questionnaire. As it learn things by doing. I undertake use of problem solving, brainstorming, role-play, group discussion, puzzles etc. to learn new things. While on the other hand as per according to Dolnicar ( 2004 ) cited in the article Understanding Students Attendance by Mearman et al. (2014), it has been identified by me that I ampragmatic attender, as I effectively focus and put by attention to information about tasks of assessment and does not miss any of the essential information. I effectively engage in learning not only to enjoy activity but also to achieve my goal, to gain professional advantage by having good job. Further it has been evaluated by me that despite of having lowest attendance rate I receive highest marks as I aim towards accomplishing my goal with great effectiveness. Conclusion According to the evaluation of my learning style (activists)as per Honey & Mumford learning style it has been evaluated by me that being an activist learner I have a tendency to do too much myself and hog the limelight. This weaknesses of mine can be overcome by me with the help of developing my decision making skill. This will not be hard for me as I am determined and have 2

an aim to accomplish my goal. In addition to this, I will engage in the process of identifying mistakes that has been incurred in the process as to further correct them for future lessons. I will also have a activity planner in which I can underline those activities through which I can strengthen my weaknesses. I will also undertake use of honest feedbacks from my colleague and family members to overcome my weaknesses. 3
