INTRODUCTIONHuman resource management can be defined as to manage the people at workplace forachieving objectives in an appropriate manner. The HR managers at workplace are responsible orthe different types of planning at various departments that includes the day care, surgery as wellas emergency care in which they support the consultation of general manager regarding thechanges in Directorate. Further, the HR manager also develop some of the groups of differentemployees and medical personnel working at NHS trust (Avolio, Walumbwa and Weber, 2009).Present report is based on the case study of St Margaret's Nursing Home which is located inLondon. This report will focus on understanding the process of recruitment and selection of anindividual and other different practitioners for working in health and social care. Further, it alsofocuses on the action plan in order to create structure in an appropriate teams in HSC whichhelps in providing proper care and also support to different patients. Thus, the report will helps tounderstand the various types of approaches in order to manage the work at health care(Bohlander and Snell, 2006). TASK 11.1 Factors to be considered while planning the recruitment of an individual to work in healthand social careRecruitment in health and social care is the procedure of identification of an individualwho assists the firm in order to meet the requirements of HSC effectively and efficiently.However, it is important to focus on developing appropriate recruitment and adopt differenttypes of strategies which is helpful in process of recruitment. There are some of the mostsignificant factors which are considered by St Margaret's Nursing Home while planning ofrecruiting an individual are as follows:Appropriate research- In context of St Margaret's nursing home there is requirement to carry outappropriate research as per the requirement in future and skills of an operational workforcewithin the organisation (Chin, Walters and Huang, 2007). There are some of the vacancies arisedue to some of the specific reasons such as retirement, medical conditions and death of anemployee. With respect to this, the HR managers find out appropriate people for he vacant postsand capable enough to handle the work.

This 2will helps them toanalyse the inventories and the nurses at workplace by providing appropriate services at andeffective treatment to the patients. Qualification requirements- At the time of developing process of recruitment of nurses at St.Margaret's Nursing home they are required to consider their qualification for completing theprocess of recruitment. Further, nurses must required to have appropriate qualification in order tofill the vacant post at St. Margaret's Nursing home (Dent and Whitehead, 2013). They must havecertified degree in the profession of health for an appropriate recruitment. Advertising- It is also considered as an important factor at the time of planning of recruitmentwhen recruit people from outside where the recruitment of of campus leads to reduction in thecost. 1.2 Explaining relevant legislative and policy frameworks influence the selection, recruitmentand employment of an individualThe recruitment and selection process at St. Margaret's Nursing home needed to makechanges as per the rules and regulation of government. There are certain acts which are requiredto consider at the time of process of recruitment and selection at workplace. This acts includesthe Employment Rights Act 1996, the Equality Act 2010. All of these acts are created to reducethe level of discrimination of an individual on the basis of religion, gender, age and disability inthe procedure of recruitment and selection (Foot and Hook, 2011). However, these policies bythe government of UK influences the process of recruitment and selection which are mentionedbelow:Equality Act 2010- As per this act, al of the candidates are required to treat equally at the time ofrecruitment in which there is discrimination regarding the disability, religion, age and gender asall of the people are needs to be equally treated which is considered to be important at the time ofrecruitment at St. Margaret's Nursing home. Employment policy and legislation act 2002- According to this act, all of the employees arerequired to provide same salaries as per their capabilities. There should not be any discriminationat the time of recruitment on the basis of age and race. Thus, it also helps in solving the issuesand conflicts between the employees.
