Introduction:
The dairy industry is associated with the production of milk related items. However, the
productions included in the dairy industries are subjected to risks in the Australian sectors. This
is mainly done due to the presence of pressures from the supermarket chains. This is the main
reason for the farmers to adopt innovations in their processes to get an increase in the efficiency
and productivity. This report includes the information architecture of the chosen organization. In
addition, the uses of the applications are also clearly depicted in this report. Moreover, the report
also includes the uses of applications in the organizations as well as the dissemination of data
from it.
Discussion:
ArchiFarm is considered a large producer of dairy products whose main businesses
includes the operations of three sites. The main site of operation is present in Victoria with 2500
cows, whereas the small sites are in NSW with 200 cows each. These sites include the presence
of various buildings like the office buildings, livestock buildings to take care of the cows and the
maintenance buildings. The profit margin is constantly decreasing for ArchiFarm due to the
constant pressure exerted by the supply retailers. This is the main reason for this report to
develop the necessary requirements of the profit margin calculations.

This section of the report includes the various objects included in the process of livestock
management of the concerned organization. The production sites of ArchiFarm are maintained
by a site manager whose responsibility includes directing of activities as well as report
productions of the analytical data (ArchiFarm Case Study – Precision Livestock Management in
Dairy Farming, 2017). In addition, the production sites also include employees and farm
workers. Moreover, there is an administrative office in each of the productions which are
responsible for the HR and site management activities.
ArchiFarm also includes contractual distributors who are responsible for the delivery of
milk from the sites. In addition, the organization also includes the integration of PLF

technologies to detect the presence of contaminated milk. Moreover, the organization has also
contracted with animal feed producers who are responsible for providing animal feeds to the
sites.
The site managers are responsible for the managing the activities of the site. This in turn
is accepted by the workers and the employees. They are in turn responsible for the administrative
office management and managing the animal feed producers and the distributors. In addition, the
health detection is also a part of the job.
In addition, the use of various other methods like data mining and predictive analytics
will also be used to define certain computational algorithms for deriving the possibility of certain
data from an enormous data set (Witten et al., 2016). The main benefit of the data mining
technology is the use of its implementation for analyzing and collecting data from a large data
set. Their application will definitely help ArchiFarm to successfully analyze the data sets and
predict the health conditions of the cows. This is mainly used to gather the customer data
pertaining to a specific area which will help in more sales acquisitions for the dairy farm.
The main policies included in ArchiFarm are mainly concerned with the security and
operations of their business.
Security policies:
The use of unauthorized access must be prevented
The workers responsible for the equipments in the sites must not disclose any information
regarding their use to outsiders
Operational policies:
The use of equipments must be done in the presence of authorized personnel only
The workers must be trained first before applying for use of the automated products

The main production centre of ArchiFarm in Victoria has an automatic feeding machine
that is used to automatically feed the cows proportionately. In addition, it also has a milking
station that is used to milk the cows and adjust the milking time for them (ArchiFarm Case Study
– Precision Livestock Management in Dairy Farming, 2017). The smaller production sites do not
have these automatic systems and are relied on the workers. In addition, an older milking system
is used which is used to milk each cows at a specific time.
Furthermore, the production sites also include the presence of custom software which is
used to analyze the health conditions of the cows and adjust their foods accordingly. The records

addressing the health requirements of the livestock. For such requirements, the company is
focused on the adoption of precision livestock farming (PLF) technologies. This process is to be
adopted by installing various sensors on the ear of the cows. This will help in providing the data
required and thus will address the PLF technologies (Brian Owens 2015). This is the main
requirement for the animal health prediction model. The main objective of the model is the
development of a technology that will help ArchiFarm to get constant health related updates
from these sensors. These data will then be used to determine the health conditions of the cows
and take actions accordingly. In case a health disease is found among one of the cows, they will
be taken to another location and treated. Their milk will also be removed to avoid the possibility
of contamination among the other fresh products. The precision farming method will then be
used to address better business operations.
In addition, the use of various other methods like data mining and predictive analytics
will also be used. Data mining is used to define the use of certain computational algorithms to
