This study aims to determine the need for providing training and development to healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic. It focuses on the National Health Services (NHS) in the UK. The objectives of the study include understanding the concept of training and development in healthcare organizations, articulating the need for training during the pandemic, determining the impact of training on healthcare professionals' performance, and identifying measures for improving performance within the NHS. The research methodology involves a deductive approach, descriptive research design, quantitative research methods, and thematic analysis. The study also considers ethical considerations such as informed consent, confidentiality, and respect for autonomy, privacy, and dignity. The references include relevant books and journals on managing mental health challenges, resilience strategies, contributions of health professions students, and the impact of COVID-19 on mental health.
