ABSTRACT
The main purpose of the current research project is to investigate the importance of human
resource management in the enhancement of organisational growth." A study on The Piccadilly
London West End. Aim and objectives have been developed for completing the full research
project in a systematic manner. The literature review has been done by following secondary
sources, which are peer-reviewed articles, journals etc. All sources facilitated the researcher in
collecting secondary data about the topic. Research methodology following a quantitative
approach using a sample questionnaire as data collection instruments. Data analysis has been
done by using frequency distribution analysis. Conclusion and recommendations are completed
by explaining information regarding the entire activities in a short and clear manner. In order to
improve organisational growth, human resource manager should manage talented employees in
the workplace because they retain the finest or top talent at the workplace—this turn to impact on
business by improving their business growth.

Chapter 1: Introduction
Overview of the topic
Human resource management introduces the process that helps an organisation in
recruitment, selection etc., of best candidates. In this, HR is the knowledgeable and skilled
person within an organisation. The resource introduces to limited availability or scare.
Management is how to optimize as well as make effective use of such scarce or limited resources
so as to meet the goals and objectives of an organisation (Ackers, 2021). Therefore, HRM is
meant for the accurate application of an available, knowledgeable workforce as well as make
effective use of present human resource within the enterprise. There are different roles played by
human resource within a workplace, including recruitment and selection, employee relations,
employment law compliance, health and safety, staff training and development etc. All these
major roles of human resource are claimed to have potentially help an organisation in improving
its growth and success at the national and international level. Thus, the current research
examines the actual impact that HRM practices have on the organizational performance in terms
of employee retention in a hospitality organisation, Piccadilly London West End
Background of the company
The current report is based on Piccadilly London West End, which is a five-star hotel. The
hotel has a boutique bedroom and a fitness centre with free WiFi: all rooms mood lighting, and
also a luxury bathroom with free toiletries and fluffy bathrobes. The human resource of
Piccadilly London West End played various roles with the purpose of improving business
growth. These roles are acquiring accurate worker, enhance employee efficiency, enhancement
of personnel development, increase employee satisfaction, analyse future manpower needs,
reduce employee turnover, long term business growth etc. Therefore, human resource
management within an organisation helps in the improvement of organisational growth.

The main reason behind choosing of current topic is to identify the impact of human
resource management on organisational performance by retaining employees. The current
investigation is important at the personal and professional level (Fapohunda, 2021). Depending
on a personal level, this research helps the researcher by enhancing their research skills, i.e. time
management, communication, data collection etc. With the help of these skills, the researcher
can easily do current and further investigation in a systematic manner. At the professional level,
this investigation helps in searching for the best job at human resource post in the hospitality
industry. Therefore, current research is highly important at the personal and professional level.
Therefore, the current research project is important at the personal and professional level by
increasing knowledge about the role of human resource in retaining employees and improving
business performance.
Scope of the research:
This research has wide scope because for collecting information about the topic, both
qualitative and quantitative research is used by researcher. This research also has wide scope
because it is time effective. Along with this, current research also has wide scope because it
helps an individual, organisation or industry by providing accurate information about the HR
practices and its significance in reducing of high employee turnover within a workplace.
