Abstract
The purpose of the study is project is to investigate the significance of training and
development in implementing advanced technologies in the workplace. The main research
method that is used in this study is a questionnaire to collect relevant and accurate data.
Advancements in technology have made it important for organizations to provide effective
training to their employees. Effective training and development opportunities ensure that there is
an increase in the overall productivity of the company and also, there is a reduction in the overall
level of turnover for the organization. It is important to identify the need for training and
therefore, develop effective strategies to provide training to the employees.
Training and development play an important role within an organization and promote a
sense of teamwork among the employees. It is important to identify the learning needs of the
employees, especially when advanced technology is implemented at the workplace. The main
findings of this study are that training as well as development are important for the overall
success of a firm and contribute to its overall success. And there are different types of trainings
that can be undertaken by an organization to enhance the productivity of employees. Time and
budget constraints were two of the major limitations of the study.

Chapter 1: Introduction
Training and development are important components within an organization as they help
the employees to develop new skills and enhance their existing knowledge (Al Karim, 2019).
The main aim of an organization behind conducting training and development is to ensure that
the employees are able to perform effectively and that their overall productivity is also improved.
Organizations provide training not only to the new employees, but also to their existing
employees to attain goals and objectives. The report is based on Rafayel Hotel & Spa and aims to
identify the importance of training as well as development in implementing advanced
technologies. The hotel is of four floors and offers different types of rooms as per the preferences
of the customers. In order to complete this research, the researcher has used deductive approach
and primary data collection method such as a questionnaire has been used.

Research Objectives
1. To find out types of training that enable workers in implementing advanced technologies
in Rafayel Hotel & Spa.
2. To identify the challenges faced by the company while providing training of advanced
technologies to its employees.
3. To make recommendations for improvement in training approach for the adoption of new
technologies

2. What kind of challenges may be faced by the company while providing training
regarding the advanced technologies to the workers?
3. What are the recommendations for improvement in training approach for the adoption of
new technologies?

Research Rationale
The rationale behind undertaking this study is to enhance the existing knowledge of the
readers regarding the importance of training and development in the company. Also, the
company will be able to develop better training strategies for its employees. Another reason
behind choosing this study is that it links with the other subjects that I’m studying and also,
training and development is one of my areas of interest. Also, the study will help the employees
in enhancing their learning about the importance of training and development in their careers.
Research Scope
The research is focused on Rafayel Hotel & Spa, which operates within the hospitality
industry. The hotel offers various services to the customers in order to ensure that they receive a
seamless experience. The different units of study for this research are the target population and
the themes that are involved in this study are the importance of training and development wi8thin
an organization and so on.
Preview of research methodology approach
The approach which has been used in the project is deductive approach. As of the
research tool, a questionnaire has been used to collect the data that has been analyzed using
tables and graphs. The researcher has ensured that a proper structure has been followed for the
research (Bell and et.al., 2017).
Chapter Preview
The report is divided into six chapters wherein the first chapter will include an
introduction about the research topic and will explain the research aim as well as objectives. The
next chapter, Literature Review will provide a discussion about the research questions. The
chapters further to this will provide an explanation about the methods that have been used in the
research and an analysis of the same. Lastly, the findings of the study as well as a conclusion will
also be included in the study.

Chapter 2: Literature Review
A literature review section in the research, evaluates surveys books, scholarly articles,
and any other assets applicable to a selected difficulty, area of research, or concept, and with the
aid of so doing, gives a description, precis, and crucial evaluation of these works when it comes
to the studies trouble being investigated.
Strategies, theories, and kinds of training
As per the viewpoint of Smriti Chand, training refers to the different learning activities
that are carried out within an organization with the primary aim of helping the employees
develop new skills, enhance their existing knowledge and apply the same to their jobs to attain
organizational goals (Training: Meaning, Definition and Types of Training, 2021). There are
different strategies of training that an organization can implement depending on the situation at
the workplace. Similarly, there are also different theories as well as types of training that can be
provided to the employees in the workplace. this is important because they help the employees to
learn new skills and implement the same to perform effectively (Bharwani, Kline and Patterson,
2017). Some of the main strategies include identifying the gaps in skills and accordingly
planning training sessions for the employees. The managers or team leaders within the company
must analyze the needs of the employees. This is important because it helps in addressing the
training needs of the employees in an effective manner. When the training needs are identified,
they should be prioritized. As a result, appropriate type of training is provided and thus, the
employees are able to work productively. Apart from this, there are also different theories of
training and development that an organization can implement at its workplace. The major
theories of training include reinforcement, social learning, need theory, expectancy as well as
information processing theory. The reinforcement theory explains that people within the
workplace are motivated to perform as well as avoid certain behaviors because of the previous
outcomes. On the other hand, the need theory explains the overall need of achievement,
affiliation as well as power affect the actions of employees within the company.
There are also different types of training that an organization can use in order to enhance
the overall skills of the employees and help them in enhancing their overall knowledge. The
different types of trainings include skills training, technology or technical training, managerial
training, training for soft skills and professional training (Bibi, Ahmad and Majid, 2018).
