This study aims to examine the role of eco-friendly initiatives and strategies in influencing the
buying decision of consumers and improving the organisational performance along with
competitiveness. The main reason behind conducting this research is to get the better understanding
about the eco-friendly initiative within the hospitality sector that can influence the buying behaviour

of consumers. Along with this, with the help of this research investigator will know about the various
type of eco-friendly initiatives and strategies in enhancing the overall performance and productivity
of Hyatt hotel. Along with this, it provides the deep insights of the topic and accomplishment of aim
of the research.
Section Three: Literature sources searched
This is refers to the survey of scholar sources such as books, articles, theses etc. which are related to
specific topic or research question. This support in to present current knowledge including
substantive findings, theoretical and methodological contribution to a particular topic. Literature
review are the secondary sources which do not report to new or original experimental work.

system. Hotels are incorporated with eco-friendly concept at designing stage and researching the

strives for a higher customer base. As now hotels realize that they can enhanced the guest
experiences and attract potential customers by integrating natural elements within the organisation.

managers and staff are work together to use a continuous improvement process to protect and
promote the health, safety and well being of all stakeholders and the sustainability of workplace
through this, hotel can enhance its overall proficiency and productivity. Along with this, it influences
the buying decision of consumers as due to COVID-19 pandemic impact consumers become hygiene
conscious.
Use eco friendly cleaning solutions: conventional cleaning products releases harmful chemicals into
the environment that is not healthy for the workplace staff as well as for guests in hotels. Now many
hotels shifted towards cleaning products which are made with bio-based oil and other natural cleaner.

This provides less irritation to guest and employees along with less destruction to environment
through which customers get attracted towards the hote.
Create a recycling programme: this an another way to support healthier environment through
implementing the recycling programme throughout the building. This will help in to reduces waste,
save resources, energy and minimize emissions. This can inspire the employees to make better
choices when it comes to reduce its impact through cost get reduced and drive prices lower for the
customers. Therefore people will choose the hotel which is providing a great a quality in low prices.
Furnish room sustainable: this is one of the creative and innovative idea for eco-friendly initiatives
through which customers get attracted towards the hotel. With the support of smart technology and
choices hotel will furnishing guest rooms with natural fiber sheets and furniture made by sustainable
material. In addition to this, hotel will stock the room with reusable coffee mugs and glasses so that
eco-friendly services can be provided to the customers along with higher quality.

As per the view point of Nicky LaMarco, when a hotel makes a efforts towards reducing its negative
impact on environment is the one which is going green. It clears that taking measures are to reduce
utility costs, to start recycling and reusing procedural programs. These steps are beneficial for the
hotel, some of the importance are explained below:
cost saving: increasing energy efficiency and reusing existing material in creative way saves money
on utility cost. With these practices Hyatt hotel will spend less on purchasing of stock to create new
product or services.
green marketing awareness: this is refers to image of a company at market place, going green makes
a hotel trustworthy in the eyes of consumers. As per the survey most of the consumers agree to pay
more for the products and services that are from the sustainable sources.
