P3: Research Methodology
Research methodology is a technique which researchers use in their research operations
to search appropriate data. RM is the short form of research methodology which helpful in data
collection and data evaluation. RM provides different methods or ways to a researcher to
complete its research project on proper manner. Without research methodology a researcher can't
achieve its research objectives in decided time period. There are qualitative and quantitative two
major types of research methodology (Turner, 2018). A researcher always gives high priority to
only these two methods of research. Both research methods of research methodology have been
discussed below.
Qualitative Method
Qualitative research method is a specific scientific method which a researcher uses to
observe different things together non-numerical data. Personal interview technique has used in
this research project. These are too important sources of data collection. Mathematical or
numerical data are not used in this type of methods. Under qualitative method is helpful in
increase its social interaction values. Communication skills are highly needed to take huge
advantages from this method.
Quantitative Method
Quantitative method is a systematic method to analyse and identify different types of
statistical, computational and mathematical data. It is another form of research methodology
which is useful to collect appropriate data through questionnaires, polls, surveys etc. This

method is very productive to collect data, because data which found through this method are
always clear and accurate (Edwards, 2017). A researcher no need to give additional time to
recheck data which collected by quantitative method.
These are main methods under research methodology, but there is only qualitative
method has been used in this research project. Reason is, this method always provides data in
logical and realistic form.
Data Collection
Data collection is one of major tasks for a research project where a person uses different
data collection techniques to get appropriate data. There are mainly primary and secondary data
collection techniques are uses user most research projects.
Primary Technique
Primary data collection technique is a way for a research project where it helps to collect
data through interviews, discussion and surveys etc.
Secondary Technique
Under secondary data collection technique which is useful in collect necessary data
through magazines, newspapers, books and journals etc. These all are also great tools for
collecting data.
In this research project, there are both techniques have been used to data collection.
Reason is, these techniques are helpful in collect data from various useful sources.
Data Analysis
Data analysis is a process where researchers analyse their whole data which they
collected through various data collection methods (Azma and et.al., 2019). Under this process
such activities has included inspects, clean, filter, model and transform their data to convert them
in important information, decision-making support and in conclusion, etc. This is a very
necessary step to under a research project, because it is helpful to compile accurate and
productive data through this data analysis step. On the other side, data analysis process helps for
removing such data from research project which are wrong, inaccurate and unclear. Basically
this process promotes logicalness within a research project. There are majorly two types of
techniques uses under data analysis process; thematic techniques and statistical techniques. But
only thematic technique has used within this research project to analyse collected data. This

technique is too productive in systematically analyse data. This technique help in divide whole
data in different themes.
Sampling
Sampling is a process which provides various sources as a sample to collect necessary
data for their research project, like; products, employees, and objects etc. These are some main
sources which very helpful in providing appropriate data for research work. In this case, there are
probably and non-probably two main techniques of sampling, but random sampling
technique has used in this project. Under this technique, 10 random employees of Hilton hotel
have chosen to take their interview or to meet with them. This random sampling technique is too
helpful in providing accurate data, because randomly chosen people always share true things
with respective researcher (Latukha and et.al., 2016). When a researcher selects people one by
one to take interviews, this attempts under research are coming under probably sampling
techniques. Mainly non-probably technique uses to make research project more logical and
meaningful.
Ethical Consideration
Ethical consideration is most useful term under research project, because with help of
ethical consideration term a researcher is able to maintain ethical environment within its research
project. On the basis of ethical consideration, a researcher is responsible respect emotions,
motives, mind-set of people. It needs to create a safe and comfortable zone for employees when
it takes interviews of them. Many times people share their personal things with researchers, in
which researchers need to avoid share those personal things with others. Need to ask only such
questions in interviews or meeting which not harm feelings of other party (Llamas, 2018). These
all ethical terms have been followed within activities of this research project.

P5: Research Outcomes
According to research data, currently talent management plays great role in hospitality
sector. It is very helpful to a company within this sector to get an effective workforce.
Employees are able to improve their skills and performance through talent management. This
research data was collected from 10 employees of Hilton hotel. Some necessary questions were
asked those employees about talent management. They have shares their point of view on this
topic. Most employees has said, talent management within hotel give them opportunity to be
more skilled and talented (Turner, 2018). On the basis of this data, each company within
hospitality sector should employ various strategies of talent management in their workplace. This
will enable to both employee and employer for increasing their own value in daily life. This is
necessary to increase employee retention as well. Employee retention is important task to
management of any organization, because this gives opportunity to management for holding

Management need to avoid put pressure on their employees, because this type of attempts always
decreases an employee's talent.
According to research, some barriers are also existing within an organization which
negatively affect talent management processes. For example; improper communication and poor
strategies are main barriers in talent management. In this case, top-level management in each
company should remove these barriers to systematically manage talent within workplace. There
is bad relationship between employee and employer also another reason behind poor talent
management (Wadhwa and Tripathi, 2018). Human resource management of a company need to
maintain effective relationship between employee and employer. It is necessary task to improve
all over performance of organization. Currently there are huge competition in the hospitality
sector, so businesses now focused on hiring talent employees in their workplace. But businesses
has opportunity to find extra ordinary talent from their existing employees. Proper talent
management is an only way to find specific talent from present employees. On the other side,
poor strategies is also a big barrier within talent management procedures, because a company
need to develop some effective strategies of talent management run it on progressive path. When
a company uses ineffective strategies of talent management, then it'll not able to get great results
in their daily operations. Most employees within Hilton hotel completely understand the value of
talent management. They accept that, this management is main reason behind their current high
work efficiency.
In the case of Hilton hotel, its top-level management fully promote and support talent
within their workplace. Other businesses under hospitality sector should learn this thing from
management of Hilton hotel. Management is only responsible body which take decisions related
to talent management. In this case, management within other companies are also needed to take
some productive decisions towards managing talent (Latukha, 2016). Currently Hilton hotel is
gaining huge competitive advantage in hospitality sector with support of talent management.
Reason is, its management is too aggressive towards implementing different strategies of talent
management. Currently promotion strategy, effective selection strategy and retention strategy are
some major strategies which this hotel is using to properly manage talent in its business
environment. Many times its management give rewards and appreciation also to those employees
who are very talented. Employees feel valued by these steps of management in Hilton hotel.
Promotion, rewards, appreciation are increase dignity of an employee. In this case, an employee

sector is need to promote and support talent within their workplace to increase their all over
performance.

P6: Reflection on Research Methods
Data which has mentioned in this research project was collected through various methods
research methodology like qualitative method, primary or secondary data collection method,
thematic technique and random sampling method. Qualitative method has helped in collecting
different data from different sources. This method gave opportunity to improve interaction
values as well (D'Annunzio-Green, 2018). Another one is thematic method, this method also has
played great role in this project. Reason is, all data was arranged in systematic themes with the
support of thematic method. Many times a researcher need to divide its collected data in different
themes to analyse them deeply. Theme shows various research data in proper manner. These
methods are helpful in improving interaction values as well. Reason is, a person who research
data for project is always needed to meet different people. That's why effective interaction values
has required to collect data from different people.
Primary and secondary data collection methods are excellent data collection methods
which provides different tools to complete this research project. These techniques are too
important for any research project. In this project, only personal interview has taken to collect
data. These all techniques or methods are too excellent but these still needs to be improved.
When these methods become more improved, then accuracy of research data within a project
will more improve. Improvement in methodology is very important task to make a research
project more productive and informative. Currently in random sampling method a researcher
need to meet with other party physically, but when this method will improve then it able to take
online interview as well. Improvement in methods is necessary to save lots of time and cost of a
research project. There is qualitative method under research methodology gave great support in
data collection process (Cappelli and Keller, 2017). This method has shows different ways to
search different data related to talent management. Mostly these methods are uses within each
research project, because these are enough to find specific data which required for a research
project. Continuously improvement necessary in these methods to get more effective research
results.

P7: Conclusion and Alternative Methodology
It can be concluded that talent management plays extra-ordinary role in success of every
business. Companies within hospitality sector should focus on taking huge advantages from
talent management. There is qualitative research method has used in this research project, but its
alternative quantitative method is also too productive in completing a research project.
Quantitative research method gives opportunity to collect data from different mathematical and
statistical tools. It is the finest method which will help in future research projects to collect data.
Many researchers use this method also to complete their project, so this is another appropriate
method option after qualitative method. According to this research data, management of Hilton
hotel need to improve level of talent management in their business environment. Current talent
management strategies are well, but it'll able to achieve more competitive advantage by
improving these strategies. Each company within hospitality sector need to properly manage
talent in their workplace to build large customer base in this sector.
