Introduction
Globalisation defines as interacting and integrate with people across the countries. It is a
process of driving international trade investment which aid to update technology. The main
markets of globalisation is commodity market, money and credit market, capital market etc.
Companies which can increase their market shares and customer base by expanding their work at
global level (Arnott, 2017). The main benefit of expanding the business at global level is that it
enables a world wide accesses to source raw materials in effective manner. This will help
companies to become cost competitive at domestic and also in foreign market. Through
expanding business it will improve in infrastructure that will improvement in communication,
effective transportation facility, hence in most of metropolitan area will be created comfort
experience to people. Globalisation which drive business by raising economics. McDonald is
leading global food service retailer around the world, it is world's largest food chain. There are
various challenges that are faced by organisations while working in international markets. There
are different barriers which limits an organisation to work effectively. They have to adopt culture
and values of those countries in which they are operating.

Rationale
The topic for this research is chosen as it will help in analysing the concept of
globalisation. Each and every organisation requires to succeed and for this it must expand it's
business and brand name across the world. After doing this project, it will be easy to analyse the
need and advantage of an organisation to expand it's business globally.
My learnings form the research
I have learnt what is the main concept of globalisation and how it affects business
operations of the company. Also I got to learn about various challenges that arise while entering
into foreign markets. I have learnt various marketing strategies that will help in doing successful
business in different countries.
Gantt Chart
Gantt chart is representation of data through a bar chart. It includes time required for
completing different activities of the project (Dixon, and Macdonald, 2018). The concept of
Gantt chart was proposed by Henry Gantt in the year 1910. This representation helps in
determining the relationship between project activities and time. The Gantt chart for this project

Work Breakdown Structure
A WBS is key project that is deliverable and helps in dividing activities into manageable
sections. This includes hierarchical decomposition of the work. The WBS is used for defining the
scope of project into manageable chunks of work that project has to initiate.
Milestone of project
A project milestone is defined as task of zero duration which shows an important
achievement in a project. Milestone presents clear sequence of events that is build until project is
complete. This is helpful in knowing how project is advancing. This clarifies how tasks can be
accomplished in given time. They have aero duration as they symbolises an achievement or time
of the project. Task association is major feature of milestone as start and end date of milestone
depends upon start and end date of task.
Time of the project – Each and every project has a start and end date. This helps investigators to
know how task can be accomplished and managed. The time required for completing this project
is around 6 months and qualitative approach is used for completing the project.
