over hospitality sector. In addition to this, it also include the importance of digital technology in
hospitality industry and challenges that Hilton hotel experienced while moving toward
digitalisation. At last, there are some recommendations provided to Hilton hotel for dealing with
the issues faced by them while digitalisation.

SUMMARY
The current research is about the impact of digital technology over hospitality sector
which is based over Hilton hotel. Digital technology have both positive as well as negative
impact over the functioning of Hilton hotel. Hence,, this investigation has been performed to
determine the opportunities as well as threat which Hilton have to face during the
implementation of digital technology. While conducting this research, it has been found that
there are number of challenges that are faced by Hilton Hotel which includes lack of expertise
knowledge, Employees pushback and security risk. For dealing with these issues Hilton has been
recommended to offer regular training to enhance the skills of its employees, add more
encryption process to its data transfer and use cloud computing to get rid from the risk of data
lost.

this is to simplifying the life of its customers by providing them more convenient and quick

conducting this investigation researcher will be able to determine the role of digital technology
within the success of Hilton. In addition to this, research will also help in identifying the several
challenges that a business have to face while adopting digital technology or modern process. By
collecting this information it become easier for the company to determine several measure that
help in rectifying these issues.

Conclusion of data analysis and interpretation:- From the above information it has been
found that majority of people are aware about the concept of digitalisation. It has also been
assumed that some respondents state that digitalisation support hotels in enhancing their
customer base but not much contribute toward customer satisfaction. This is not an agreeable
fact because it help in minimising the risk of error by simplifying operations that further reduce
chance of inconvenience throughout customer stay in hotel. In addition to this it has been
identified from survey that majority of customer visit are family group and it is agreeable
because Hiloton provide more valuable services which customer likely to experience by staying
their throughout their vacations. But on the other side it has also been assumed that majority of
people state that customer satisfaction is improved with customised services and not much with
discount over online booking. But this is not agreeable fact because when customer reserve
services using online offers and then their experience worth as per charges they likely to use
digitalisation platform to avail services and also get satisfied with it.
CHAPTER 5: RECOMMENDATIONS
From the above conducted research it has been assumed that digital technology brings up
several threats for a hospitality business along with growth and development opportunity. Hilton
hotel also faces number of challenges while performing their operations digitally which includes
risk of security in term of data hack, inadequate knowledge of employees and difference in the
standard of services among online & offline services due to lack of interaction with customers.
So, in order to cope up with these challenges following recommendation can be consider by
Hilton hotel:
ď‚· Hilton must work over improving its security system by adding more authentication for
assessing the data such as cloud computing for keeping data stored over server that
reduce the risk of data lost. In addition to this Hilton can also use data encryption method
in order to keep its data sharing process more authenticated which also reduces the risk of
hacking.
ď‚· Hilton hotel must also focuses toward improving the skills as well as knowledge of
customers by providing them regular training for using online service providing system.

CHAPTER 6: SUGGESTION FOR FURTHER WORK
While performing this research I have learnt several things as well skill which support me
in future course of action. From this research I have experience that digital technology plays a
crucial role toward improving the service offering as well as providing a convenient way for
customer service access. This research support me in gathering information regarding hospitality
industry and how its influence the customer choice regrading particular service. In addition this I
also came to know about various challenges that Hilton is facing by performing its operations
using digital technology. This information can be further used by some another person to expand
this topic as this research provide more authenticated information which support company in
finding ways to overcome their challenges. While conducting this research I also being able to
learn about several research technique or methods such as primary and secondary data collection,
research philosophy, qualitative and quantitative research method etc.
Apart from this, I feel glad that I get an opportunity to perform this research which
support me in improving my analytical, communication, decision making, presentation and
management skill throughout this investigation. While performing investigation I faced various
challenges like the budget provided for research is very tight which affected the way we operate
investigation. In addition to this some of the respondent are not clear about the information they
provided but despite of all these I have tried my best to collect more accurate and reliable
information in order to conduct this research in ethical manner. Apart from this my team member
was very supportive that help in achieving the aims and objective of research.
CHAPTER 7: CONCLUSION
From the above conducted research it has been identified that digital technology plays a
significant role toward the growth as well as success of hospitality sector by simplifying the way
in which services are referred to customers. There are number of opportunities which digital
technology provide to a business such as market expansion, maximum customer satisfaction,

improve standard of services etc. This research is conducted by gathering information using
primary and secondary data collection method. In addition to this questionnaire is also used in
this investigation for setting up the criteria to collect information in more reliable manner and to
collect this data 40 respondents are used. For sorting out information data analysing and
interpretation has been used that support in presenting the information which will help in
accomplishing the goals and objective behind this investigation.
