Cosmos Tour Ltd is a business organisation operating in hospitality industry and includes
providing leisure, travel and tourism facility to its customers situated in London, UK. Being
working in a hospitality sector this, organisation is facing tough competition from large numbers
of companies operating in same filed (D’Annunzio-Green, 2018). Thus, in order to built better
competitive strength and have better business position it become necessary for Cosmos tour Ltd
and other organisation to evaluate some new and more innovative ways of working to achieve a
strategic approach to talent management as it provide an effective way to enhance skills and
competencies of an organisation.
Research aim
The main aim of this research project is, To have better understanding about
importance of new and innovative ways to achieve strategic approach to talent management in
order to have better growth and success of organization”.
Research objectives
The main objectives of this research project that is based on an investigation on Cosmos
tours Ltd are stated as follows:
To have better knowledge about concept of talent management.
To evaluate the needs for new and innovative ways of working to achieve a strategic
approach to talent management (Tafti, Mahmoudsalehi and Amiri, 2017).

The selected research topic is justifiable and purposeful as it is connected with the
educational background of researcher and also associated with the interest and academic view of
investigator. Further, the selection of current research topic is rational as it facilitates better
understanding about the new and more innovative ways of thinking to have better creation and
management of talent within the organization. Beside this, the main purpose behind conducting
this research work on Cosmos tour Ltd is evaluating the importance and need of strategic talent
management within hospitality industry to achieve and accomplish desired goals in more
effective way.
Activities and timelines
Various activities and task are to be performed by a researcher in order to accomplish the
objectives of a research. To have more clarity and transparency in research work, use of a Gantt
chart is made (Maurya and Agarwal, 2018). The main reason behind using Gantt chart is that it
provides a systematic way to represent all activities together with their timelines and estimated

evaluated that strategic talent management has become a necessity in today’s hyper-changing
and dynamic environment. Talent management basically denotes the unified strategy of an
organisation that is designed to help companies to make best possible use of their workforce.

Talent management also ensure that human capital meets and achieve the vision and goals of
organisation and also ensure maximum return from better utilisation of talents of employees
through creating more attractive organisational culture that encourages happiness and motivates
better commitment in employees (Taylor, 2018). Thus, it can be evaluated that talent
management is an important concept that is a constant process that consists attracting and
retaining high-quality and talented employees together with developing their skills and
competencies through continuously motivating workforce to improve their performance with
help of training and better engagement programmes.

talent in this competitive world adoption of new and innovative strategies like flexible working
pattern, management revolution, smart working practices, etc has become a essential and vital for
effective management of talent at workplace. Beside this, the other innovative ways that can be
adopted by Cosmos tour Ltd to have better strategic approach of talent management includes
properly communication about organisational goals, prioritizing employees needs tighter with
solidifying and brining more innovative changes in talent management strategy.
To develop better understanding about the importance and need of strategic talent management
in Cosmos tours Ltd in order to achieve its goal.
According to the view point of Mona Momtazian, 2016, management of talent has become
essential for an organization to maintain its competitive strength and ensure better skills and
competencies’ in employees to meet desired targets and goals. It has been evaluated that
employees in today’s modern world are not get satisfied and motivated through just salary i.e.
some better strategies and techniques are required to keep that motivate and satisfy tem that is

foremost importance of talent management includes retainment of talent management for a
longer period of time. Further, it can be analyzed with respect to talent management that it

that is capable of achieving desired goals on time (Sheehan, Grant and Garavan, 2018). Thus, it
can be evaluated that expenses on talent management by Cosmos tour ltd is important and
essential as it facilitates more productive and healthy workplace environment that ensures better
and timely achievement of goals together with enhanced competitive strength and better business
position.

Research approach
It reflects the main approach and philosophies used to conduct a research in more
effective way, a description which is provided below:
Research Philosophies- It is mainly of two types I.e positivism and interpretivism which
are commonly used by a researcher. With regard to this research work the philosophy used is
Positivism as it the one that facilitates more practical and systematic way of data collection and
presentation (Cappelli and Keller, 2017).
Research approach- This part of research method is bifurcated in two main components
that are deductive and inductive. Out of theses two research approach use of deductive research
approach has been made for current research work as it the one that ensure better generalization
and presentation of numeric data thus, provides support for quantitative research method.
Research method- There are two main types of research study and methods that includes
qualitative research and quantitative research. Qualitative research is associated with gathering
in-depth information thus, it is more complex and time consuming therefore, use of quantitative
research method is more suitable for current research work (Collings, Mellahi and Cascio, 2017).
Quantitative research methods facilitates procurement of data in numeric form that is easy to
collect and represent.
Ethical considerations- It is associated with basic rules and principles of conducting a
research work. In order to fulfill the ethical consideration and to ensure that current research

work should not harm and hurt any individual proper written consent is taken from all
respondents.
Methodologies
Sources of data collection- There are two main sources of data collection that includes
primary and secondary sources. Use of both modes of data collection is made for this
investigation as primary sources ensures collection of latest and authentic data directly from
respondents (Collings and Isichei, 2017) . Beside this, use of secondary method ensures supports
and better base form pre rerecorded facts and documents.
Sampling method- It is process associated with selection of a some small number of units
from a large population in order to perform a research work in more effective way (Thunnissen
and Gallardo-Gallardo, 2017). For current research work a sample size of 40 respondents is
selected from workforce of Cosmos tours Ltd through making use of random sampling method
(probability sampling) in order to complete this research work more effective and also eliminates
the caches if biasness.
Research instrument- It basically represent the tool used for collection data. In
accordance with current research work use of questionnaire is made to collect information
directly from respondents as mode of primary research (Amiri and Safariolyaei, 2017). Use of
below stated questionnaire is made to collect information from 40 selected respondents among
the workforce of Cosmos tour Ltd on the topic strategic approach to talent management.

new and strategic ways required for better management of talent. It has been evaluated from this
current research method that traditionally made for talent management are not so effective in
meeting and handling the dynamic change and current competition level thus, every organisation
need to adopt some innovative and new ways like flexible working hours, management
revolution, smart working prcatises in order to attract and retain top talent for a longer period of
time. Further, it has been find out that talent management is an important concept for every
hospitality organisation as it enhance competitive strength and productivity through brining
uniqueness and creativity at workplace of an organisation.
Stakeholders- These are the person and individual that have significant influence over
decision making practises and overall functions of organisation and are affected by these
operations either directly or indirectly. In terms of cosmos tour ltd, stakeholders includes its
directors, clients, managers, employees, customers and suppliers who are associated with its
business operations. For current research work respondents and communicator are selected from

Reflections and Alternative research methodology
Reflection
This research work is a conducted by me on the topic of importance of new and
innovative ideas for better development and creation of strategic talent management that was
very informational journey for me. This research work has improved my overall skills and
knowledge as a number of research methods and techniques are used by me. Use of
questionnaire is made by me that facilitates an easy and simplest way of direct collection through
direct interactions with participants that has improved my communication skills. Further, use of
quantitative research method makes me able to properly present the research findings in more
effective way. Many issues and threats are also encountered my me regarding lack of resources
and time that was effectively encountered by me through making use of my analytical skills.
Alternative research methodology
The alternative way that can be used to perform this research work includes use of
interview for data collection that is mostly use with qualitative research methods to collect
theoretical information from respondents. Use of qualitative research method facilitates more
insight in perceptive and view of respondents but it is time consuming process thus reduce the
effeciany of investigation and also enhance complexity in research work.

Conclusion
With respect to above research findings it can be summarised that talent management is a
crucial and important concept for organisation in order to maintain their viability and better
success level. Further it can be evaluated that new and innovative ways of working are more
effective in a achieving the organisational gaols and also facilitates better competitive strength to
organisation through brining uniqueness and better creativity at workplace of organisation.

In accordance with above conclusion and resrch findings following recommendations can
be made for Cosmos tour Ltd to have adoption of some new and innovative strategy that
facilitates improvement in its talent management at workplace.
Providing facility of flexible working hour together with smart working practises is
recommended for Cosmos tour ltd as it develop better motivation level and provide
enhanced experience to employees at workplace. Thus, facilitates attraction and retaining
of talented employees for longer period of time.
Management revolution and adoption of more participative management style is also
recommended for Cosmos ltd as it ensures better communication and bonding at
workplace that ensures more positive workplace environment. Thus, facilitates
enhancement in productivity and creativity of employees through allowing free flow and
sharing of information and ideas among employees thus, improve their skills and
knowledge.
