PART 1Covered in PPTPART 2INTRODUCTIONThe information technology refers to use of computers and telecommunications in orderto store, retrieve, process and transform specific data appropriately. It include different computersystems, applications, machines, software and equipments which are suitable for conductingvarious task easily by gaining better outcomes (Almajali, Masa'deh and Tarhini, 2016).However, information technology is basically facilitate to transmittal of information or systemwhich facilitate communication. Moreover, it is beneficial in various business sectors includinghealthcare in terms of improving accuracy of information and patient outcomes. The presentinvestigation is based in impacts of information technology in healthcare sector by analysing itsactual requirements and benefits. It will also include description about concept of informationtechnology to make proper results of research.Aim -“To analyse the impact of Information Technology (IT) on the healthcare sector.”Objectives -To determine the concept of Information Technology. To analyse the need of Information Technology in healthcare sector. To evaluate the benefits of Information Technology in healthcare sector. Questions - What is the concept of Information Technology? How to analyse the need of Information technology in healthcare sector? What are the benefits of Information Technology in healthcare sector?LITERATURE REVIEW(600)Concept of Information TechnologyThe information technology refers to many different areas which include softwaresolutions & hardware that facilitate to organise, gather and evaluate desired information. However, it consist different types of machines and applications which provide support to1

establish more effective as well as efficient documentations of data in proper manner. In additionto this, there are several systems and software which are favourable for healthcare sector in orderto maintain medical records of patients accurately because they very important for futurepurposes. As per opinion of Warner and Sullivan (2017), previous information is suitable tomake decision about medication when an individual become unconscious to make them healthy. In addition to this, information technology can be implemented in settings of healthcareorganisations as it facilitate to reduce chance of occurring drug errors and improve patientoutcomes. Furthermore, IT improve communication among medical professionals whichfacilitate to reduce chance of confusions and save their time so that they can attend each patienton time in proper way. At the other hand, it basically involve utilisation of computers, storage, networking and infrastructure to produce process, manipulate, store, secure and share electronicdata in healthcare sector. Need of Information technology in healthcare sectorIn present era, life is very fast and advanced so that it is required to adopt desiredinformation technology in every sector of business for increasing their regular productivity aswell as profitability. However, it involve to adopt different effective software, application andcomputer system which facilitate to improve efficiency of staff members and medicationoutcomes in hospitals. According to views of Leila Vali (2015), there are several problem whichcan be sort out with the help of technological system implementation. Meanwhile, it includeissue of shortage of staff, lack of proper communication, coordination among professionals andmaintenance of data related to patients. In addition to this, it is required to utilise hardware toolsincluding tablets, laptops, mobile phones etc. in order to improve interaction between careprovider and sick individual. Meanwhile, information technology is needed to reduce problem oflong queues in hospital for health problem which are responsible for creating critical situation ofpatient due to not getting immediate medication. At the other hand, it is necessary to removemaximum visits of people in clinics or hospitals to physicians regarding diabetes or obesity byincreasing their communication online through telehealth. Furthermore, it include to adoptappropriate technologies in respect of improving outcomes of medical facilities. Benefits of information technology in healthcare sectorThe information technology provide various benefits in different aspect in healthcaresector. It include the utilisation of different technological software, systems and application to2

store, process, retrieve and transfer information for specific purpose. Many times, it is observedthat shortage of staff create problem for management of overall work in terms of attending everypatients to provide correct medication. Greater work load is responsible for generating risk ofoccurring medication mistakes which can be sort out by using appropriate technologicalapplications or system in proper manner. As per opinion given by BIANCA BANOVA (2015),there are different benefits which can be achieved with the help of information technology suchas availability of information & big data, improved public health, enhanced patient care, ease ofworkflow, mobility & mobile apps, telemedicine/telehealth, electronic medical records andimproved communication. The IT is helpful for healthcare in terms of establishing patient portalwhich is favourable for both care provider and service user because they can communicate onthat regarding maintenance of health situation of an individual. People suffering from diabetesand blood pressure and other disease can avoid to visit their physicians on regular basis and theycan get directions online with the help of telehealth and care providers can update newprescription on patient portal respectively. Nursing staff become more efficient and improvetheir skill for attaining perfection in their work and reduce risks of drug errors as well. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY(400)Types of researchThe investigator is required to select type of research method by which properinvestigation can be conducted as per selected issue. It research can be classified into qualitativeand quantitative method in which suitable is required to chosen by researcher in correct way. However, qualitative research refers to focus on deep understanding thoughts, opinions, trendsand experiences for gaining desired results (Cervero-Liceras, McKee and Legido-Quigley,2015). In contrary to this, quantitative research can be described as to analyse facts, figures, values and statistical data to make accurate conclusions accordingly. The present investigationwill going to prefer qualitative research in order to evaluate about given problem of overallprogram. Data collection methodThe data collect can be explained as to use various types of sources to collect requiredinformation with help of utilising primary and secondary resources. However, primary datarefers to first hand data which can be done by carrying out personal interviews, surveys,3

observation and questionnaire (Weber, Diaz and Schwegler, 2014). In contrary to this, secondarydata can be considere as second hand information which is collected with the help of books, journals, articles, websites and many more. The present research will focus on primary sourcesfor collecting required information about information technology for further evaluation to makeappropriate results. SamplingThe sampling refers to method to select group of suitable individual from particularpopulation to conduct research in proper manner. The given investigation is based on randomsampling method with sample of 30 respondents respectively to given interpretation aboutfindings of research. Data analysisThe data analysis can be described as a procedure which include inspecting, transforming, cleaning and modelling of collected information. It is necessary to analysegathered data thoroughly in order to investigate about particular problem for making accurateresults of research. However, it involve to evaluate the collected information which facilitate togive interpretation regarding findings of whole investigation in correct way (Fanning andCenters, 2016). Moreover, desired data should be gathered with the help of using primary andsecondary sources like articles, journals, articles, websites, interviews, surveys etc. The giveninvestigation is based on analysis of findings and provide an interpretation with discussion tomake accurate conclusions.Ethical considerationsThe ethical rules and norms are required to followed by investigator in proper manner asthe forthcoming results may applied in practical life and wrong interpretation may impactnegatively on future. It include to follow proper time and spend desired cost by following overallethical criterion in proper way. However, it is required to take legal permission from particularentity before using related information and maintain confidentiality of private data appropriately.DISCUSSION ON DATAConsidering the above information, it has been analysed that information technology isnecessary for healthcare sector as it impacts positively regarding various aspects which arebeneficial for patients as well as organisation. However, it is founded that healthcare institutions4
