INTRODUCTION
The term ICT is derived as Information and communication technologies. It keeps its
primary focus over communication technologies. This is inclusive of things as are internet, cell
phones, wireless networks and other kind of communication mediums. It is one of the effective
technological implementation which is working as to revolutionize all experiences of human. It
is one of the important devise in manner to economic development and business growth
(Rangone and Paolone, 2018). This is one of the social networking website which have effective
communication on regular basis. In addition to this, it can be said that modern information and
communication technologies have created the global village. The present assignment has covered
the outline of business activities as Mark & Spenser. The good communication will be helpful to
develop new sales channels in order to satisfy the customer in retail sector. In addition to this, it
will be inclusive of things as are role of ICT, impact, evaluation etc. The main aim is to have
systematic operation so that firm is able to earn the large amount of profitability (Minelli and
Ruffini, 2018).

To assess the impact of information communication technology (ICT) in encouraging new
channels of sales in retail business sector- A study on Marks and Spencer".
Objective-
 To analyse the role of ICT in retail business sector.
 To determine the importance of developing new sales channel in retail business sector.
 To study the impact of ICT in creating new sales channels in M&S.
 To evaluate the way in which new sales channel enhances the satisfaction level of the
customers in retail industry.
 To recommend ways in which ICT can effectively encourage the creation of new sales
channels in M&S.
Rational for choosing this project
To conduct this research it is essential to have personal interest in this area. The
communication plays factor plays the vital role in order to being the success to the enterprise. I
will use the mode of communication which will develop the good sense of knowledge with the

activities of Mark & Spenser. The researcher will help me to develop my skills in order to have
depth understanding. I am willing to develop my career in managing activities of business
successfully. In this way, I need to have the use of communication strategies so that function of
firm can be carried out effectively. In this way, I will get to know the implication of Information
technologies on the key operation of Mark & Spenser.
2. Literature review
The technological advancement as ICT is very essential in order to run activities of firm
in efficient mode. This kind of technology is helpful in order to have smooth flow of business
activities so that firm is able to derive the large amount of profitability.
According to (Kaur and Lodhia, 2018) states that changes in the technology has great impact
over the activities of firm. This kind of activities will be helpful in order to have large amount of
profitability in enterprise. As per the view of (Brunt and et.al., 2018) the effective technology
work as to have great amount of economic development in the country where functioning of
firms are undergoing. According to view of this is the method which will be helpful in order to
have effective flow of communication in each department so that activities of firm can be
undertaken effectively. As per the view of (Nelson-Nuñez and Cartwright, 2018)
technological implication as are storing, manipulating and distributing and processing of
information will be helpful to carried out each thing effectively. Thus, it can be said that from the
pas time the uses of information technology are very helpful in order to conduct the activities of
the firm which gives conventional modes of business with the innovative technological tools. In
addition to this, the firm need to take out these activities in order to have increment in the
efficiency of firms. As per the view of (Curtis and Kelly, 2018) business enterprise are
maximising the advantages of commercial by making the right use of tools. This is helpful in
order to have the use of online techniques so that process of things can be done effectively.

communication process helps the managers of Mark & Spenser in order to carry out each
information systematically so that firm can operate its functioning effectively. As per the view of

cloths to customer so that, brand image of firm can be enhanced effectively. This kind of things
are helpful in order to sustain the company in the market for longer period.
