Research Title:
In what ways do policies and codes of conduct against discrimination at workforce
lead to employee retention: The case of British Airways.
Introduction
The project into actual practical action is encompasses over analysing the ways through
which policies and codes of conduct in against discrimination at workplace lead to employee
retention. Therefore, in modern and competitive era businesses are significantly focuses on
enhancing the transaction of the organisation via implementing suitable policies and code of
conduct to execute suitable business operations to attain growth and success (Egels-Zandén,
2014). Thus, In this present project the evaluation is mainly encompasses over the study of
British Airways, thus it is a large flag carrier airline of the United Kingdom, thus the firm is in
operation at international unwavering and has its leading recognition over implementing
effective policies and codes of conduct in against of discrimination at workplace that leads to
employee retention (Abbasi, 2015). Therefore, the study initiates to conduct a small scale
research in which analysis is being developed via the assistance of developing survey in which
questionnaire has been prepared to conduct detailed analysis to drawn valid and reliable results
(Stewart and et. al., 2011). In addition to this, conclusion and recommendations are drawn over
the outcome of the research, thus reflection has been provided over the implemented
methodology and the personal experience has also been shared to describe the future growth
which can be implemented by the execution of this existing project (Mosadeghrad, Ferlie and
Rosenberg, 2011).
Research Aim:
To examine the ways through which policies and codes of conduct in against
discrimination at workplace lead to employee retention. A case study on British Airways.
Research Objectives:
To critically develop knowledge regarding the concept of equality and diversity in
the context of business.
To effectively identify the suitable policies and code of conduct in against of
discrimination are implemented at workplace.
To determine the ways by that policies and code of conduct in against discrimination
leads employee retention within British Airways.

The suitable selection of methodology is the fundamental obligation of an investigator as
it leads the entire exploration in the suitable direction to fulfilling the requirement of the research
(Egels-Zandén and Lindholm, 2015). Thus, in this present investigation region, based on
examine the ways through which policies and codes of conduct in against discrimination at
workplace lead to employee retention, primary as well as secondary both the tools are applied
to draw valid and reliable outcome (Ghapanchi and Aurum, 2011). However, there are assorted
aspect which are required to be considered while executing primary and secondary research,
some are associated as under:
Cost: This defined to be the key considered area of a research, therefore, it is necessary for the
researcher is to manage cost and capital for the better execution of investigation operations.
However, in this existing research both primary an secondary research area executed to
collecting invaluable data and it is required to bring off suitable cost and capital for better
execution of research actions (Kaplan, Wiley and Maertz Jr, 2011). Some actions are cost
overwhelming in cause and proper amount of cash and capital is effective in managing suitable
flow of research.
Access: This is an another important term which is imperative in effective execution of
investigation, therefore, access of suitable sources are required to conduct information that are
specific and relevant to the study (Barak, 2016). However, in the current investigation work it is

required for the researcher to take access from the company or the required sources from internet
to gather valuable information that assist in generating significant results (Elefant, 2011).
Researcher also needs to select the sources which are authentic in nature and valuable in
discussing the specific area in efficient way.
Ethical Consideration: In the execution of a research over a specific area or issue, it is
mandatory for the researcher to follow the investigation ethics which are efficient for an
investigation to be executed in the suitable direction so that chances of conflicts are reduced (SJ,
Cheruiyot and Maru, 2012). Therefore, as to considering the current project, primary research is
the key way to gather valuable information, thus the primary ethic for the investigator is to
provide consent to their participants for information them to take part in the research process and
receiving back their consent about the project. In addition to this, researcher also requires to
maintain security of the private information that are provided by the responsive, thus, individual
are mainly concern about lacking of their personal information. Furthermore, researcher needs to
manage time by implementing time scale for representing the completion of the project in
systematic manner in which suitable time for each task has been provided (Lee, Lee and Li,
2012).

Data analysis is characterized to be the most significant region of an examination as it
refers as the technique of cleaning, changing and displaying data to find fitting information
for business dynamic (Tschopp, Grote and Gerber, 2014). Therefore, the primary concern of
executing data analysis to making suitable selection of useful data through information or taking
initiate decision which is encompasses over the information analysis (Hom And et. al., 2012).
For undertaking in existing investigation based on determining the ways through which
