Background to Research Topic
Human resource plays a crucial role in every business organisation as it provides support
in attaining all the set goals and objectives in stipulated time frame. In this, HR team is also
considered as an important role that support in retaining them form longer period of time. With
the assistance of this, company can easily achieve success. In addition of this, effective
management to human resource is also important for company to maintain high employee
turnover (Cloutier and et. al., 2015). Proper management of workers is essential within the
organisation as it help in making them able to execute their entire activities and task in effective
way. This will contribute in reducing the chances of arising issues at workplace and business
organisation as well. One of the main advantage human resource is to improve the performance
of company by making them able to perform their task. In this regard, the manager of company
may provide training and development activities to its employees to improve their performance
and efficiency level. This will contribute in reducing the possibilities of arising issues at
workplace. The main reason behind undertaking this issue for carrying research is to analyse the
impact over productivity of organisation. It is important for company to analysis the actual issue
that faced by employees at working areas. With the help of this study, company can easily
improve their performance and at the same time also reduce its employee turnover.
Background to Research Organisation
For undertaking this research, selected organisation is Boots Plc that is a health and
beauty retail company operate their business in UK with the aim of generating lager profitability
level. Mainly, this company is merged with Alliance UniChem in 2006 to from Alliance Boots.
This company is one of famous and largest retailer in UK both in terms of revenue and number
of their shops. It also sales many health and beauty products and also provides optician and
hearing care services to its customers. Company was founded in 1849 by John Boot. The main
focus of this firm is to serve best quality products in order to attain customers satisfaction. For
attaining the same, company also focus on managing all the employees in effective manner and
at the same time also provide them guidance so that they can easily handle all the employees in
appropriate way (Deery and Jago, 2015). With the assistance of this, firm may improve their

market share and established their competitive brand image. In this HR manager also recruit
right employees who actually fits towards the job role. By this, employees can perform their task
and attain set targets. For an example, lack of training and guidance may reduce employees
performance and also make them demotivated towards the company. For this, Providing
appropriate training and development activities is effective to boost their morale and make the
able to perform their best. It directly contributes in managing high employee turnover and at the
same time also enhance their productivity level.

Present research is based on the identify the role of human resource in maintaining high
employee turnover. It is considered as an important topic and also consist a broad area that
support researcher in improving their skills and knowledge towards the human resource and its
importance as well (Haider and et. al., 2015). Mainly, there are two reason why researcher
undertake the research which is self-interest and professional purpose. With the help of this,
investigator can take decision within the research. This topic provides vast information to

Research Methodology
Research methodology is considered as an important process in which researcher collect
data and information by using different sources (Huffman, Casper, and Payne, 2014). In this
investigator is responsible for selecting right and suitable method of technique to undertake
research activities in well-structured manner. Mainly, it includes various methods and techniques
to gather relevant data and information towards the specified topic and area as well.

In undertaking research, it is important for investigator to select best and suitable

who are the employees of the company. It helps in collecting valid and reliable information and
draw a valid conclusion.
Data analysis:
It is also considered as an important part of research methodology as it helps in
evaluating all the collected information in effective manner so that positive results can be
achieved. This will contribute in making whole study more authenticate and reliable (Mukkelli,
2015). In this regard, investigator also applied qualitative and quantitative form of research in
order to gather relevant data and information on the basis of research topic and area as well. Both
methods are effective that provide guidance to investigator to undertake research. By this they
can easily attain valid conclusion.
Ethical issues:
Ethics is important aspect of every research activities as it helps in making an effective
study and also provide a reliable result. While undertaking research activities, it is crucial for
investigator to ensure that all the data and information of selected respondents keep confidential.
Along with this, researcher is also responsible for undertaking research activities on the basis of
its aims and objectives so that they can easily meet the final outcomes. This will help in attaining
real and authenticate outcomes at the end of the investigation. This will support researcher in
taking valid and reliable decision to draw an appropriate conclusion.
Timescale
