INTRODUCTION
Globalization is essential for economic and overall development of any country through
exchanging technology, information and products from one nation to another. However, it is
helpful to improve the standard of living of people. In this regard, different ideas are generated
for meeting customers' expectations in terms of providing food services globally. In this research
project, impact of globalization on food habits of citizens of Prahova/Romania can be
understood. Through this study, critical evaluation of globalization impact on food habits of
country's citizen is to be described. Including this, research methods and different authors' views
on globalization impact can be expressed. However, research specification and data analysis for
can be presented in this assignment. In this regard, a systematic manner for conducting research
and accomplishing tasks to recognize impact of globalization on eating habits of country's people
is to be presented. Thus, learners are able to understand different impacts of globalization on
food habits of nation's citizen through this research project efficiently.
Background
Current research study is carried out on the eating habits of the people. In order to carry
out research it is very important to understand the research topic background. Eating habits are
directly influenced by the varied factors like social, cultural, economic and globalization. In past
couple of years economic condition of the Romania people changed to great extent and
globalization of the nation happened. This is evidenced from the fact that in past year’s trade of
the mentioned nation increased at rapid pace with foreign nations. All these things create more
employment opportunity and lead to increase in income level of people. With change in income
level people spending on restaurants changed at rapid pace. It can be said that eating habits of the
people changed at fast rate. Romania is a part of Europe as its growth as same of other nations.
Thus, due to commencement of operations of foreign restaurant chains in mentioned nation
people become habitual of eating foreign dishes and in this way eating habits of local people
change with passage of time. In accordance to this, globalization role in food sector involving
health and nutrition is to be presented. It is well known city of Roman country which population

density is very high that provides different countries' food trend in this individual nation. In this
regard, it is very important to identify that to what extent globalization put an impact on
country's people life style. Main aim of the present research project is to develop broad
understanding about various aspects of eating habits that is observed in people of Romania. In
many research studies it is identified that there is an impact of globalization on citizen eating
habits. Results that will be obtained from the present research study will be helpful in identifying
lots of hidden trends and factors. It can be said that there is huge importance of the present
research study and it will help people in making restaurant related business decisions.

The main aim of present research project is to identify globalization impact on eating
habits of citizen of Prahova. In this regard, impact of globalization on countries' domestic dishes
food and flavors will be identified (Andrews and Hampel, 2015). In accordance with this, aim,

internationally. It is recognized that globalization impacts on country's growth in all ways for its

is one of the effective aspect especially for developing country to balancing resources and unique
tastes of food from one country to another efficiently. However, it is beneficial for restaurants to
acquire knowledge about several nations' unique products and taking advantages of that things to
introduce product in homeland. Therefore, with introduction of new product curiosity created
among the people and them start eating foreign dishes. This lead to change in the eating habits of
the people to some extent. It is useful term for improving life style of country's people by
providing them various tastes of other nations' food. Hence, globalization impacts on citizen

research through preparing implementing new theories and gaining different ideas of
country's managers from different restaurants. Thus, inductive research approach will be
used for reaching out set target and accomplishing the task effectively.
 Research philosophy:- It is considered as belief that shows tools to collect data and
analyzing them. There are two kinds of research philosophy conducted for gathering
information just as positivist and anti-positivist. However, positivist philosophy terms as
scientific while the other one known as interpretivist. In this regard, positivist theory
involves observation and objective viewpoint of respondents. For using this research
philosophy, views of respondents are collected and analyzed (Eisingerich, Auh and
Merlo, 2014). While, on the other side, interpretivism theory is subjective in nature and
involves scientific knowledge under which different interpretations of study. For this
present research project, researcher is to be used interpretivism theory thereby varieties of
ideas can be gained as well observed for recognizing globalization impact on food sector
for citizen of Prahova. It is beneficial for gaining actual position and impact of
globalization on country's effectiveness.

conducting research including descriptive, correlation, experimental and so on. Including
this, different kinds of research designs are applied as quantitative and qualitative for
gathering information from by observation and collecting data at primary and secondary
level. For this research, descriptive theory is to be applied for identifying impact of
globalization on food sector of the country (Ennew, Binks and Chiplin, 2015). Therefore,
analyst will conduct research through primary data collection by asking questions to
various managers from different restaurants who engaged in international business trade.
 Data collection:- Information are gathered through qualitative and quantitative methods
for conducting research and analyzing globalization impact on nation's effectiveness.
However, for primary data collection, information are gathered through conducting
survey, face to face interview and door to door asking questions for determining current
market position. It is helpful for getting actual position of food sector in Prahova and its
development (Farrokhyar, 2014). While, on the other hand, through secondary data
collection, information are gained by ready and prepared materials such as newspaper,
magazine, analyzing performance tools and so on. Therefore, for this present research
project, research is to be used survey method by asking questions to selected 20 managers
from different restaurants randomly of the country related to globalization impact on
food sector that is interlinked with nation's effectiveness.
 Data analysis:- After conducting research through asking questions to managers from
different restaurants of the country, collected information is analyzed. It presents actual
position and role of globalization on nation's development. It emerges varieties of ideas
for improving social status and living standard that affects globally. Therefore, data are
analyzed through this process for improvements in food and healthcare sector of nation.
Including this, interrelation of food with other sectors of country is also obtained that
affects overall development of nation at high level (Flick, 2015). Thus, collected data are
analyzed by which decisions are made for development and improving quality services of
country involving helping other nations by providing resources and fund internationally.
Hence, data analysis is one the essential process of any research project that is useful for
generating innovative ideas for proper development.

 Ethical consideration:- Researcher focuses on different ethical considerations for taking
conducting research and analyzing managers from different restaurants views. However,
for this process, before asking questions, he get permitted for survey and also not focus
them for participate in survey (Haumann and et.al., 2014). Including this, for getting
information through internet, he did not try to access the sites which are restricted to open
up. Therefore, several ethical considerations are focused for conducting research and
collecting data for projecting.
Therefore, for collecting data regarding changes in food habits in Prahova, researcher is to use
different approaches. In this regard, he is to use inductive approach that includes theories and
different factors. Similarly, he is to use discriptive approach in which discussion on positive and
negative aspects are structured on which decisions are made for further implementation.
Likewise, interpretivism philosophy is to use for interpretation of collected data and further
decision making on it. However, he is to conduct survey of 20 randomly selected respondents by
which actual market position and customers' attitude can be identified by which decisions are
made effectively for the further years.

Therefore, researcher is to prepare questionnaire consists of list of questions for which social and
cultural impacts on country can be identified. Thus, food habits changes in Prahva is to analyzed
for improvements and increasing competitive strategies.
TASK 2
2.2 Abstract and methodology
The research project is related to analyzing impact of globalization on citizen of Prahova
in food habit of country's people. Therefore, different research methods and gathered information
are analyzed that shows different views of managers belong to different restaurants for export
and import of goods and services. However, impact of food habits and different countries' food
impact is to be explained that affects economic and social factors of country. In this regard,
various research methods and different managers form several restaurants' views are to be
explained for improving living standard of people for various countries people. Apart from this,
it is helpful for proper import and export of food and special tastes of various food (Jahanshani,
Hajizadeh and Khaksar, 2014). In accordance to this, several aspects for economic and different
developments can be expressed through this assignment. Therefore, this research project is
significant for understanding impact of globalization on citizen of Prahova in food sector.
Including this, different tools and components are obtained for providing different kinds of tastes
and various dishes in country that is interlinked with economic and social factors of country can
be understood. Thus, learners are able to understand impact of globalization on citizen of country
to satisfy its people by providing different food of various countries.
Methodology:- There are two ways for collecting the data one is primary method and
another is secondary methods.
a) Primary method: Primary data collection method is the method of collecting the raw
data. This type of data is directly collected from the first hand sources by the means of

observation, survey and experiment (Kärnä, 2014). There are no further processing and
manipulation are done with that information. Ways of collecting the primary data are as follows:
A1) Observation methods: This method is commonly used in studies which are relating
to the behavior science. In this method the observation is scientific tool. The method includes the
structured and unstructured. Participant and non-participant, controlled and uncontrolled.
A2) Interview method: This is the personal means of communication where one is the
interviewer who is taking the interview and another is respondent who is giving the interview.
This is oral verbal communication methods which include personal interview, direct personal
investigation, structured interview, unstructured interview, focus interview, clinical interview,
telephonic interview and non directive interview (Korschun, Bhattacharya and Swain, 2014).
A3) Questionnaire: in this method a questionnaire is mailed to the respondent who are
expected to read, understand and reply on that questionnaire. A questionnaire is the structured
form of question is planned and question is put in that questionnaire
A4) Schedule: In this methods enumerators are appointed and special training is given to
them so that they are able to collect the data from the respondent. This is also similar to the
questionnaire methods but the enumerators are appointed they help the respondent to understand
the question and then take the proper feedback (Mackey and Gass, 2015).
B) Secondary methods. It is the method where data is already being collected by
somone that data are taken into the consideration and analysis is made on that data so that it can
be modify according to the organization need. The data is being collected from the various
sources ther are as follows
a) publication of government
b) technical and trade journal
c) reports of various business like banks
d) public reports
e) statistical and historical documents
Data collection method from sampling method.

Sampling is the process of selecting the subset out of the total population. It is done when
the population size is large and it is not possible to collect the data from the total population.
There are two ways of doing the sampling, these are as follows
A) Probability method: These are done as such way that sample represent the population.
This provide the most valid result because the sample reflects the characteristics of the
population. There are various ways to collect the probability sampling, these are as follows.
a) random sampling: it is the sampling where each element has the probability to being
chosen. There is same number of chances of each element of population to being selected as
sample (Saeidi, Sofian and Saaeidi, 2015).
b) systematic sampling: the sample are selected in the regular interval such that the
interval is 4 and the first is select on the random basis as such 2 is being selected than the sample
would be 2,6,10 etc
c) stratified sampling: in this method the strata is being selected. That strata are the
groups made on the same characteristics and the random sampling is done out of each strata.
B) non-probabilistic sampling: non-probabilistic sampling is sampling in which each
element does not have the probability to being selected. There are various ways, these are as
follows:
a) convenience sampling: the sample are being selected on the basis of ease of access
b) snowball sampling: the sample are being collected on the basis of the social
connection and the sample are biased and does not five proper research conclusion

Interpretation:- At first, researcher asks managers of different restaurant regarding their
familiarity with globalization concept for transacting goods and services within countries
worldwide. In this regard, it is resulted that 90% respondents are aware with globalization for
providing different varieties of food worldwide. Respondents expresses that views that it is
helpful for nation's economic and social development of country. Likewise, lifestyle and living
standard of people get improved effectively. Therefore, different people of Prahova takes
advantage of varieties of food and several flavors also affects their eating habits and demand for
food of different countries. Thus, it is obtained that country's development is possible through
globalization that enhances its efficiencies through providing different tastes of food.

on that the eating habit of the people has changed as comparison to the last years. Majority of the
customer has changed their preference relating to their food habits. The effect of the
globalization on the food habits of an individual are easily traced out with the help of the current
figure which depicts the actual tastes and preferences of all the customers in Romania. The
changes take places in the 10 years is due to heavy imposition of various patterns in the behavior
of all the consumers who got influenced with different cultures. Various people migrate from one

or family pressure in relation to the food habits created lots of changes for the business entity
which deals in food industry. Business sectors dealing in this particular sector are required to

existing business conditions. However, 9 out of 20 respondents are agree with the statement that
from last years, eating habit of people get changed, there is highly demand for other countries'
food and services is gained that affects on nation's economic and social growth for transacting
goods within countries internationally. Thus, it is able to improve quality services of food as well
attracting other nations' people at high level.

Interpretation:- Globalization is regarded as that event takes places on a global level in
which one or more organization operates their business by surpassing the domestic boundaries of
their country. Effect of globalization can be both positive and negative as the desired aim of the
business involved in the current process is to emphasize on all the goals and the objectives
developed by an entity in order to grab higher market advantage in the external business
environment. Majority of the managers of 20 different restaurants are agreed with the facts that
globalization has created lost of changes in the buying patterns which is clear effect of its eating
habits. Culture and tradition of an individual influences its decisions of purchasing variety of
foods in all the restaurants. The effect of tradition restricts some users in Romanian in eating at
restaurants due to lack of traditional foods they expect due to traditional culture. Eating habits of
an individual is affected with the changes takes places in the business sector as increasing need
of junk food restrict old age people who prefer healthy and non-junky food whose frequency is
less which restricts them n eating out at restaurants as they prefer to cook food in their homes.
Hence, it is recognized that eating habit of customers get impacted through globalization impact

Interpretation:- Through this research, analyst asks managers' views on changes in
people habit in restaurant. Due to providing different different countries' food varieties, demand
for other nation's food get increased in comparison to domestic food. It is interpreted that 17 out
of 20 managers are agreed with changes in food habit in restaurant. However, they express views
that demand for Chinese, Mexican and Italian food are demanded higher than Romanian food.
Customers are getting towards other countries as they increase willingness towards other nation's

Interpretation:- Through this research, age group wise customers' visiting is gained that
presents youngsters visiting to restaurant with friends in comparison to relatives and family

different tastes within countries, export and import of goods and services get affected in different
way. Therefore, economic and social development of country can be enhanced. However, million
people can take advantages of varieties of tastes and food of different countries worldwide.
Hence, proper growth and social system can be improved effectively. Including this, it is
interpreted that demand for other countries' food and domestic food for other nations get
increased therefore varieties of flavors and tastes can be achieved in different ways. For
example; pizza is of different kinds is available in different countries internationally that
influences economic and social growth.
3.3 Conclusion
The report is concluded that it is essential to analyze impact of globalization on citizen's
food habit of Prahova. In this regard, a proper systematic research and planning procedure is
gained for analyzing globalization impact and significance of different countries' food and
flavors. However, different ideas are gained for attracting country's people through providing
them different tastes of food from various countries for example; Chinese, Mexican, Italian and
so on. Therefore, importance of globalization for exchanging food and flavors within countries is
gained through this research. Including this, different managers belong to different restaurants of
country's views are gained that leads to making further decisions for improving quality services
and taking advantages of different countries' food. Besides this, interconnection of different
countries' food with export and import of goods as well attracting people more towards food and
different flavors are gained through this assignment. Apart from this, research method for
recognizing managers views through preparing questionnaire and asking questions is presented
that presents globalization impact on country's food is obtained. Thus, impact of globalization
and different nations' food and varieties of flavors' significance is determined through this
research project.

According to research project, it is gained that globalization impact on citizen of Prahos
in food sector effectively. However, it is recognized that other nations' food and different flavors
attract people at high level that is related with economic and social growth of country. Including
this, it is necessary for country to advertise domestic food and transacting other nations' food and
different tests effectively. However, various changes are implemented that affects environment
of country in social and economic ways. Therefore, it is necessary for all countries to provide
different kinds of food and tests for attracting people at large scale and improving social status of
country at high level. In this regard, it is required to prepare strategies and adding different
varieties of flavors in food to attract and satisfy country's people for further implementations and
improving service qualities efficiently. Thus, it is needed for any country to prepare globalization
policies for exchanging food and services therefore all nations can take advantage of food and
their unique features. Including this, it is needed to set adequate price of food in accordance to
countries' potential and financial strategies for transacting food within countries. However,
through accepting technologies and different technological items, food sector of the country can
be enhanced that affects further improvements and growth at high level. Thus, people and society
of the country will be attracted towards food provided by Prahova efficiently that affects several
factors of nation's effectiveness. Apart from this, it is necessary for country to focusing on food
qualities to attract people at high level. Including this, it will be effected for increasing in
demand for food and implementing quality services for further development. Hence, through
improving food qualities and providing people all kinds of different food, proper social and
