INTRODUCTIONResort is a part of hospitality and the report operations is related managing dailyactivities and operations with providing good quality of customer service. TUI group is a largesttravel and tourism business enterprise and it has its own hotels, retail stores, travel agenciesetc. This company deals with its customers in a better way and it provides good quality servicesand products to its customers. In this report mentioned about the functions and structures ofresort operations (Aicher and et.al., 2010). In resort offices, there are different types of touroperators are working and they guide their tourists at different locations. Sometimes, effectivequality system and procedures impact on conflict and legal situation of business firm. In thispresent report mentioned about the many incidents that affect the operations of hotel. There aresome procedures that are to be implemented by tour operator in different incidents.TASK 1 1.1 Functions of resort operationsResort operations means to carry out day to day activities related to hotels. The touroperations industry performed many activities in relation to resort management. TUI groupoffers large rage of products and services for its customers like for instance food facilities,destinations according to customers demand,transportation facilities, hotels etc. This businessenterprise has many hotels and the roles and responsibilities which the tour operator wants tosatisfy the customer need and also handling lawful activities and suppliers. The tour operatorsprovide transportation services to its tourists not only for visitors attractions to other but fromvisitors places to resort. There are some functions of resort operations:Customer services- It is most important part of resort management. It is a duty andresponsibility of manger and employees to provide better and satisfactory services to theircustomers, so that they will come again. Companies conduct training and developmentprogramme for its new and existing employees (Bruening, 2010). The human resourcedepartment provides training to their staff related to good customer services. With the help oftraining, skills, knowledge, abilities of its workers will be improved or increased. From this, theywill serve better to their customers. Communicate well- It is necessary to maintain good communication with its employees.Tourists came from different countries and their languages are different from any country. So, itis necessary that tour operators should understand and know their languages. So, from this theycan with its customers which are from different countries or nations. If tour operators will nit

understand their language ten it will create miscommunication between hotel and enantiomersand they are dissatisfied from resort services.Reservation- It is a responsibility of tour operator is to to done reservation of tourists. Itwill be convenient for customers and from reservation, it will be easy of availability of rooms(Chen and Lin, 2013). It is the duty of hotels to provide better quality services to its customerslike food, room cleaning facilities, air conditioning, beverages etc. Tour operator should becoordinated with its tourists and helps in increasing their satisfaction level.Health and safety- To take care of health and safety of customers is the responsibilityof hotel and its management. Manger of hotel should be provide safety and healthy conditions.Tour operation must be aware about the safety and health legislation. The functions of hotel operations will be health and safety legislation, local legal system,meeting that are concern to specific destinations which are visited by tourists. Governmentmade many rules and regulations for hotel operations related to safety and health like forinstance health& safety act 1974, data protection act, local law etc. The manager or employer isresponsible for the security and safety of its employees at the time of working. Regarding this,company provide training to its employees related to new machineries.1.2 Structure of Resort offices of different types of tour operationsResort is explained as the service provision in order to provide better accommodationservices and other facilities at same place. The structure of every report is different from eachother. In framework of TUI group includes full board, breakfast, comm facilities, self catering etc.This business enterprise provide all services or facilities in fixed packages and services likefood, government taxes, transportation etc. In the case of breakfast and bed arrangement pricefor hotel involving the complimentary breakfast with it (Dai and Caldwell, 2010). This businessfirm provides all facilities and exercises to its customers which can satisfy their needs andwants. There are many different types of tour operators who are involves in travel and tourismactivities:Inbound Tour operator- They deal directly with foreign customers inside theboundaries of country and provide them many services like transportation, accommodative,entertainment, insurance services, currency exchange etc. These types of tour operators aremade their tour package individually and also with foreign operator. They provide all services inone package.Outbound- They are very expert in promotion and operating trips of other countries.They prepares transportation facilities, documents, local sightseeing etc.
