Introduction
Quantas is going to hire 20 new employees for the different levels of management
because the organization is in the growth stage. The purpose of this report is to know the concept
of recruitment and selection. However, the literature review is done to know the recruitment the
theories related to and selection as well as reasons behind the need of database management
system in Quantas is also discussed.
HR Function (Recruitment & Selection)
The major function of HR that is recruitment and selection is chosen because it provides
the opportunity to influence the numerous approach of the corporation which helps in assisting in
the growth of the employees and this function play a major part in developing the strategic
business decisions. However, the recruitment leads in organizing the vacancies, examining the
applications as well as arranging and managing the procedure of testing (Heilman, Manzi, &
Braun, 2015). The selection is also chosen because it helps in selecting the competent employee
for the organization and provides the knowledge about the skills as well as abilities of the
individual. Further, the literature review is done to identify the procedure of recruitment and
selection.
Literature review
The HR function that is (Recruitment and Selection) is chosen because it is considered
significant because it helps in attracting and selecting competent employees for the organization.
Therefore, various strategies adopted by the organization to attract as well as select best, which is
discussed by reviewing several articles.
Sedláčková and Lokaj conducted the study, to know the theories of recruitment and
selection adopted by the organization and to identify the model of low-cost alliance (Sedláčková
& Lokaj, 2017). The data was collected by reviewing various articles to understand the concept
of recruitment and selection as well as to know the procedure of selection and recruitment in the
company. However, through this the researcher finds that for recruiting the employee the
company uses the process of providing application form, video call interview, inviting the
