Introduction:
Nurse leadership is required across all levels and in all environments (El Amouri & O’Neill,
2014). While teamwork is usually a laudable aim, there are often occasions when nurses have to move
into a advocate position with a single voice for the purpose of providing outstanding patient and
family treatment. For the nursing career the principle of leadership is critical. The point of this article
is to give examples to the newly recruited nurses, of the usefulness of standardized languages for
direct nurses in care / bedside. This essay is meant to clarify the implications of standardizing the
nursing languages (Tastan et al., 2014). Such advantages include: greater coordination among nurses
and other health care professionals, enhanced awareness of nursing procedures, better patient safety,
enhanced data collection to determine nursing performance, increased commitment to quality of
treatment, and supported nursing competency testing.
Discussion:
These issues are ever more relevant when the implementation of the Electronic Health Record
(EHR) (Tavares & Oliveira, 2016) and the National Health Information Network, for which the EHR
is fundamental, continues at an ever-increasing rate. We ought to recognize the importance to nursing
to health treatment and the appropriate means to integrating aspects of clinical services into the EHR.
Fortunately, the answer is already there; it's about using standardized nursing terminology (SNTs)
(Thede & Schwirian, 2014). Capturing the individual experiences to nursing includes the usage to
generic terminologies representing the distinctive nature of nursing care. Conducting the survey with
the help of question and answers, it was seen that registered nurses who used the Internet and who
obtained details from specified online mailings were self-identified participated in the survey. Nursing
Practitioners need to learn why recording treatment using formal nursing languages is necessary,
especially as more and more institutions transition to electronic communication (ED) and the use of
